As a new solo hiker, this is a great video I found it so useful. Thank you! I also take a whistle and wear it around my neck so if I fell and was stuck or broke a leg or something I can blow that. And if it's around your neck, if you were separated from your backpack you can still reach for it. Just knowing it is there makes me feel a lot safer! Thanks for this video, I'm going to get the alarm!
