Showroom Stock Racers. The Saleen Mustangs, the Cobra R Mustangs and the 1LE code Camaros and Firebirds were developed for Showroom Stock and Endurance racing back in the ‘80s.
Road racing was amazing in late ‘60s - early ‘70s and late ‘80s and through the ‘90s and early ‘00s. I especially loved watching the World Challenge Series in the mid-late ‘90s. The Saleen Mustangs and Cobra R models battling the 1LE optioned WS6 Firebirds and Camaro SS models. Was an awesome time in motorsports. I spent many hours on the couch watching SCCA and IMSA racing.
RIP Kenny Brown. The brains behind the Saleen suspension geometry
Sad to hear, RIP Kenny. What mods were made?
Wow what an awesome video. Love them 16" white mesh wheels 😍
Only one objective....taking it all
That wing on my coupe worked awesome in the rain at 100mph whenever I was stuck in rain. AWESOME ROOSTER TAIL!!
0:14 that 'hits the spot' real nice
That is one heck a of racer for an '80s-generation Mustang.

Sweet cars
Very cool..
Parnelli Jones teaming up with Team Saleen❤
I didn’t know the SCCA did 24 hour races. Really cool! Racing has become so boring these days.

Sponsored by Montgomery Wards, no less! Lol
Haha, I had a Montgomery Ward credit card back in 1992 lol, which should give an idea of my age😉
I think Wards went out of business a couple years after, around 1994.
I remember my parents taking my sister and me to Montgomery Wards way back as a little kid, haha good times lol.
@@jasonblue8832 yeah, Wards had a little of everything. Sad when they closed.
