You should preload the control arm. My recommendation is before you jack the truck up in the air, with a sharpy marker, mark on the mounting bracket where the upper control arm rests. This should give you a good reference point to set your preload.
dude you have to tighten the upper arm bolts up when the vehicle is on the ground or you will end up wreaking the bushes the way you did it and grease the ball joint
This exactly. You must preload the suspension. Either put on the tire and drop it to the ground and then tighten or use a second jack to lift the assembly (under rotor works with a wood block) and then torque to spec. Bushings will die quickly if you don't preload.
I’m about to do this .. if I put a jack under the rotor how much tension or is it safe to drop the truck on the ground with the tires on and then tighten
Nissan smartened up on this model. On the pathfinder the control arm bolt lines right up with the steering column line or whatever you call it. so I gotta take that bolt out.
Thank you for this video. I will definitely follow your steps to replace those arms on my 06 armada. Question, My ABS light turns on while driving. Then breaks act REALLY weird. How can i fix that? 🙏
I doubt you still needs this info but incase you do you probably just need to replace your abs sensor that attaches to your wheel bearing. At least that is what fixed it for me.
Soak them with WD-40 or PB Blaster. Let them sit for an 30min and soak again. Use a cheater bar, and add a steel pipe to make it longer, more leverage. It'll come off like butter.

I didn’t see you preload the arm before tightening! Is that not necessary before you tighten the bolts?

Hi.. Can you please tell me the difference between RC black and silver upper control arms??
those are designed for lifted titans. It angles the ball joint correctly for suspension lift.
I'm having a tough time removing control arm bolt on the passenger side no room on the right bolt and bolt too tight

There's always something. Hopefully this helped get you started!
Do u need to jack the truck up for this

NO NEED TO TORK STUFF TO SPEC?
Best video on TH-cam 👍🏽
Thank you Christopher. We hope it helped!
My bolts are seized and taking more than 4 hours and I haven’t finished the first side

No. It is pre-greased.
