36 years later and Michael Keaton hasn’t lost all that charm that makes him Beetlejuice and in one sentence makes me nostalgic and extremely happy to see him. Also, Beetlejuice working as a manager of an Afterlife Call Center is oozes hilarity, and I love all the practical effects.
@@lanalan4157I didn't get the vibe he was "off" at all. Looks really promising to me 😁 he seems totally lively from the popping up next to Lydia, the face explosion, the lighting the bomb. We don't see much but to me he definitely seems to be capturing the original feel.
1 thing i really love about this trailer is that the Sandworm is still done with stop-motion but cleaner. Hopefully this flick is a good mic drop for Tim Burton, hopefully this film ignites that spark he once had.

The technology is there to de-age them. They had to be in that house for 125 years. They were also Lydia’s spiritual parents. It won’t be easy explaining where they are. And they certainly aged when the exorcism spell in the original movie was happening. I like how the cartoon and musical glossed over this too. :( I guess Lydia chose her horrible stepmom over them? Hard to believe.
I feel like Michael Keaton doesn’t sound as rough as he did in the first movie. The “really, is this a figment of your imagination” just sounds like Michael Keaton.

Geena Davis has stated that her and Alec Baldwin are not reprising their roles as the ghosts because she joked that life take its course and ghosts don't age😂 haha. I am so excited for this film been waiting for years and glad that Tim Burton was inspired to make this film on the set of Wednesday and had Jenna Ortega to join the cast..... And they put Danny DeVito in it 😍😍 ( probably as a cameo ) right after the plane crash shot at 2:49-2:50. It absolutely gave me wonderful feels of my childhood 🤩😍

Here is a theory about Barbara and Adam. In the first movie when they see the "lost souls" room, the janitor explains that is "death for the dead" for "excorcised ghosts". The trailer indicates that at some point The Deetz's moved out of that house. What if whoever moved into it realized it was haunted and had it exorcised and that is why Barb and Adam are not there

My theory on Alec and Geena is similar to the Corpse Bride ascending. Once you are ready, you accend to a higher plane of existence. Seeing how the Maitlands saved Lydia from Beetlejuice and were helping her by the films end. They earned early pass to moving on.
