You are doing a great job educating people about life in China! India's basic problem since independence is it's politicians (all parties) refusal to firmly establish "rule of law" in the country. They always want exceptions for themselves and their relatives/friends from established rules and practices and they don't value merit.
How many girls and even babies raped every year in India? The punishment of raping a girl under 14 in China is automatic death sentence. You can say it is too harsh, but it also reduce such crimes a lot.

India is a huge country with a long history and rich culture. The government lacks the will to severely penalise criminals that prey on women. Such crimes are very often committed out in the open even in broad daylight. India needs to walk the talk to improve women's safety. They should try, literally speaking, to slaughter the chicken to frighten away the monkeys.

It is foolish to compare India with china, for example china is number one powerful and advanced country in the world but India the one of the poorest counrty in the world stil, and India is almost 100 years behind than china.
