India always potrays themselves as the victim of colonialism. But India was actually the collaborator of colonialism. As such, the British built India as their center of colonial power. It was the British, not Indian that built infrastructures in India. And when the British left, they did not actually teach the Indian of their technology, perhaps so India would always be hooked to the British for maintenance and infrastructure buildings. Well, only a few decades ago, there was common belief spread by the West that only them could build the right way.
Then China proved them wrong. Whatever the West could build, China could build too, even better. They do everything to make China look bad, smearing China for alleged low quality, stealing technology, espionage, national security and many other thing that they can think of. Practically whatever bad thing that the West is doing to the rest of the world
For us in South East Asia, we can see it clearly. China is just playing their game, smartly. So everything is justified. After all, hadn't the West stole enough technology from China already? They also poach talents from us! Here we were made to believe that if we had talents, we should seek better life in the West, building the West instead of our countries. They even created political instabilities to make our countries impossible to develop. For us, China find a way to level the playing fields. Why should we follow the West to be considered, good, while we live in squalors.
India, on the other, loves to play good guys for the West. They care a lot for their image to the West so much, that it seems they miss being colonized. That is why nobody respects India even in its immediate neighbors like Nepal and Bangladesh. So what India needs is actually some mental transformations. How could India improve if their leaders think they do not need to improve. Looking at their lives, their houses, their circumstances, those leaders really do not have anything to improve. Obviously they ok with the living arrangements of the people living under them. People of India are so got used to living in squalors anyway.

      YES!
India and China have been peaceful neighbors for thousands of years. I hope Indians know that the current Tibet issue was left behind by Britain in order to control India and China. After all, the democracy of the colonial rulers is worthless in India and China.
Please allow me to say a few words about India's independence.
Have you guys ever considered whether India and the UK were still one country, of course, including Pakistan and more? What if the Indians fought for democracy rather than independence? My guess is that democracy is easier and a smaller goal than independence. Care to guess who is the prime minister: an Indian or a British person?
After all, by the definition of independence, the larger part cannot be independent from the smaller; only the smaller can be independent from the bigger. For example, China cannot be independent from Taiwan, even if China wanted to.
So, please ask yourself, is India's independence actually the UK's independence? The answer is in the British and Western love for Gandhi.
The above is all about hypothetical. Back to India's independence, the keyword is war. Please notice that India's independence is considered peaceful. For your reference, the US independence is called the Revolutionary War.
Indians may compare the British killed in the US independence and the Indian independence. My guess is that, with 20th-century weaponry, Indians killed fewer British than Americans killed British with 18th-century weaponry.
India's independence, whether violent or peaceful, should it be defined by the killing of the British masters? The key is that the killing of the British masters resulted in the British masters obeying the will of India, not the other way around. As long as the result is that British masters obey the will of India, the number of British casualties has no importance.
Unfortunately, during Indian independence, India obeyed the British will, which was, for evidence, the Partition of India.
The Partition of India is a two-state solution. Please ask yourself, who benefited from this two-state solution?
Please compare the two-state solution of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Of course, don't forget the two-state solution of Israel and Palestine. Please ask yourself, who benefited or will benefit from these two-state solutions?
By the way, for those who are interested in the number of casualties, please study the casualties during the Partition of India and compare it with the British casualties in the Indian independence.

*Boy, stop spewing nonsense that is meaning and irrelevant. The British left India nearly 80 years ago. But Indians still use British colonialism as a perpetual excuse for not being able to pick up the slack. Yet always casting an envious eye on China and ever ready to belittle China's achievements. Even though India itself has achieved absolutely nothing to be proud of aside from the empty, non-stop self-congratulatory hubris.*

Why are there people in this world who question China's superior development? Is it impossible for a country to have such wonderful infrastructure? Of course, not.
I'll tell you why. First, they are bigoted against China's political system. They don't believe that a non-democratic nation can be so successful. They are big believers in their democracy.
Second, they are jealous of China's success, which highlights their own failure. Many of them are in deep denial. Americans say they are doing fine. Indians say they are doing fine.
Third, they are afraid of China's success. What might China do to them if it becomes too powerful? It's irrational fear borne of ignorance about China.
The fact is that China has a superior system of governance. It's not perfect but it's better than what you've got.
There's nothing to be afraid of. China is a peaceful nation. China is a helpful nation. China respects you.

In Surabaya, Indian Sepoys committed atrocities to put down the independence movement. Three Indian divisions were deployed to crush the rebellion against Dutch colonialism. Yes, the British were actually helping the Dutch because they feared that the independence movement would spread to Malaya and Singapore. Over 10,000 Indonesians were killed in 3 days. Most of the fighting was done by the Indian troops which lost less than 300 men. That was because of the overwhelming use of tanks, cruisers and destroyers to shell the Indonesians.

Why can't arrogant media figures like Palki Sharma can't come visit China (probably even on a diplomatic level visit will be possible if requested from the Chinese Gov) have some friendly discussions and learn from the Chinese people...? But no, they are always in this delusional state of condescending posture towards China. They never behave as normal human beings. They want to become a "super power" and at the same time be arrogant and condescending towards actual real life super powers like China.....hahaa This kind of behavior will keep India in this same exact position until they are willing to do the actual hard work, putting aside their undeserved arrogance and working with other countries as peers.

In a manner of speaking, isn't it a form of caste system? The elite/high caste has the privileges to become leaders, no matter how incompetent they are. Thanks for sharing. As a frequent traveler to China (15x since 1985) I have borne witness to the phenomenal improvements in China. The infrasctructure you have demonstrated so well has increasingly become the standard for most of China's largest cities. This is not necessarily true for the smaller cities of the hinterland. The central gov't has accordingly sought to carry on this transformation and deliver the remaining impoverished population (180 million); an aspirational goal which is attainable and something the many China haters in the West should really think about. I have also been to India and irrespective of where it is today, I am a firm believer that with the right leadership, education and opportunities, India can also accomplish such a dramatic transformation.

The west thought that they could use China as their back street, slum like, cheap labour source for manufacturing of their goods but look what happened. The chinese have completely turned the tables on them and in the process raised their people up from poverty to prosperity, hope and future. Their manufacturing has literally brought the west down to its knees. The west often touts that China is horrible, it has no democracy, etc. but what is more important for a poor country, a faltering, chaotic democracy with no clear goal (just look at India where democracy is used as a tool to stop progress, to create hurdles, to increase corruption and to damp efficiency in a sea of perpetual chaos) or is it more important to have strict governance, (even if it means no democracy) progress, job for the masses, food on the table, proper health care and increased living stansards. Democracy can wait till the basic needs and law and order are sorted out.

I was surprised at your reference to my parents. Why you made this remarks? I am a fan of Sarika and appreciate the way in which she has presented China.
Did you not understand what I wanted to learn more from her, their education system.
I strongly condemn your reference to my parents.

.." Aksai Chin" was a barren lands( No people lived there) so British-India government didn't show it in Indian maps so it belongs to Tibet......But Nehru was an expansionist Indian leader so Indo-China War happened in 1962 and British slave(Ghulam) India was brutally defeated in that War...Chinese soldiers again defeated Indian soldiers in Galwan Valley Clash in 2020 and 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives....
