The Rev is hands down one of the greatest drummers over the last couple decades. The small amount of work that he left behind before he passed should not go unnoticed. He brought such great latin influence and so much groove to his drumming. He was also an insanely good songwriter ie. Afterlife, A Little Piece of Heaven, Almost Easy, Brompton Cocktail, Fiction.
He was a better songwriter than drummer, he was a very good drummer but there are a bunch of better drummers out there, there aren’t a bunch of songwriters better than he was tho, just really great overall musician.
@@puppetmaster8551 I dunno. He was a composer first and a drummer second so I feel like most of the time he held back because he thought his most insane drumming didn't fit the song. That drum solo here puts most drummers to shame imho.
The rev was in another band called Pinkly Smooth.... I've been a deathbat from the beginning (born and raised in northern California), but the rev and synister gates in Pinkly Smooth is definitely worth a listen.
The Rev was incredible, I was lucky enough to be at this show, and it was the only time I saw Avenged Sevenfold with Jimmy on drums. You guys should react to UNHOLY CONFESSIONS from this concert, it’s a banger of a song #RIPJIMMY #GONE2SOON
Glad to see y’all finally traveling down the A7X rabbit hole! Love the energy of this track. I’d check out Betrayed, Trashed and Scattered, Save Me, Crossroads, Almost Easy & Scream next!
Seems like they picked that performance to listen to the song because it isn’t the original audio from the album. They probably couldn’t show it because of copyright maybe.
Avenged Sevenfold: Almost Easy, And All Things Will End, Afterlife, Bat Country, Blinded in Chains, Brompton Cocktail, Buried Alive, Burn it Down, Carry On, Chapter Four, Crossroads, Dancing Dead, Darkness Surrounding, Dear God, Desecrate Through Reverence, Eternal Rest, Fermi Paradox, Fiction, Girl I Know, God Damn, God Hates Us, Gunslinger, I Won't See You Tonight (Part 1), M.I.A, Natural Born Killer, Not Ready to Die, Remenissions, Save Me, Second Heartbeat, Shepherd of Fire, Strength of the World, Scream, Sidewinder, The Stage, The Wicked End, This Means War, Tonight the World Dies, Trashed & Scattered, Until the End, Unbound, Warmness on the Soul, Welcome to the Family, Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd Cover) & Victim. I know it's a lot but take your time guys :D
You can most definitely see A7X live with A Little Piece Of Heaven! They did that at the “Live In The LBC” concert same as this one right here. And if youd like to hear his masterful drumming, my personal fave for him is “Almost Easy”, one of many he wrote on his own, but my personal fave based on his drum skills
Great song, love the riffs in it. Still hoping you guys react to The Stage by them at some point, but make sure you watch the video along with it to fully understand the song. Its a pretty heavy topic in it.
One of the biggest reasons i love your content, is because you guys don’t fake never hearing a particular song that plays on the radio. Like many of other channels do.
How about it’s some of Rev’s best work in general not just as a drummer but as a musician because the whole song was his own crazy idea all conjured up in that beautiful mind of his? AAAAANNNNDDDD he did a lot of the recording intoxicated lol
Yall guys are awesome! I'm glad yall reacted to this song the drums, guitar, and vocals are insane in this song. Thanks for showing love to my favorite band!
Your reactions to mjk are the reason I subscribed, the rest of you guys reaction are icing on the cake! Have you reacted to any "All that Remains"? Would love to get you 2s reaction to SING FOR LIBERTY by all that remains. Thanks guys you 2 are awesome
You think A7X is great live. Wait til you finally hit up some live Dream Theater. They were a huge influence on the Rev and Synyster Gates (lead guitarist of A7X)
Potassium is what prevents muscle cramps. I always encourage drummers to eat a couple bananas before practice. It's a serious bitch to get a cramp right in the middle of a show
The guy standing next to the lead guitarist during the solos isn't the bass player it is the rhythm guitar who also does some twin solos with the lead guitar.
Jimmy is my favorite drummer of all time! When he died the band had a slump of trying to find a good drummer like they were used to. Notice Hail to The King. Now they have a good drummer again. Brooks goes in. You guys should check out The Stage by A7X it shows Brooks' talent as well as the rest of the band it's a great song
Aaron Gillespie from Underoath is another great drummer and singer! I definitely recommend either desperate times desperate measures or writing on the walls.
I didn't like this album at first, as the singer had to switch up his vocal technique to save his vocal chords, but after a few listens to the album, I really started to dig how his new voice made the band sound like a metal as fuck Guns N' Roses.
yes, perfect. Almost people starts consuming a7x with the album Nightmare, then they realize Citty of Evil has a rich musicality. (bad english=im Brasileiro)
I've seen the Rev live multiple times and have jammed A7X on drums for years. Second Heartbeat in the LBC and Critical Acclaim are amazing live performances. He sings and solos the chorus of Critical Acclaim live, he was a pianist on the drums.
The rev was in another band called Pinkly Smooth.... I've been a deathbat from the beginning (born and raised in northern California), but the rev and synister gates in Pinkly Smooth is definitely worth a listen.
There is a video of them singing A Little Piece of Heaven - Live in the LBC that is on youtube if you look for it. It's as good as you expect it to be.
You oughta try one of their songs from Sounding the 7th Trumpet. Very different Avenged sound. They actually played on the Van's Warped Tour back then...
Another great drummer is the current drummer for trivium. I would suggest checking out some of their stuff. The current drummer is from the last three albums to now
I don't know if its hes best drumming performance, but you should check out Afterlife to hear hes vocal capacity. Jimmy is screaming for about 21 seconds, how many drummers can do that?

If you really enjoy a little piece of heaven listen to it live in LBC fantastic performance!
Yes please do this one ...
also this is a must. pls.

Damn lucky you

will always vote for the rev he was my inspiration to play drums as a child.
Me either! Drummer since i knew a7x
Great reaction guys, would love to see you react to the whole LBC Concert! Easily their best performance and every song is awesome.
this is a must ^
Seems like they picked that performance to listen to the song because it isn’t the original audio from the album. They probably couldn’t show it because of copyright maybe.
Yup. Do it
Yes, I’ve always recommended this. Definitely one of if not the best work of The Rev
I can choose 5:
I wont see you tonight 1
Save me
Tonight the world dies
Blinded in Chains
The Stage
Avenged Sevenfold - Seize the day (Live at LBC)
No one really argues that "Live in the LBC" was Avenged Sevenfold's peak. The same way "Live in Seattle 1989" was Metallica's.
The fact that this album came out I'm 2005 blows my mind still so good
Hey guys! Just wanted to wish you a very merry christmas! Merry christmas to all the trash talkers too!❤🤓
You can most definitely see A7X live with A Little Piece Of Heaven! They did that at the “Live In The LBC” concert same as this one right here. Avenged Sevenfold - Strength Of The World
Great song, love the riffs in it. Still hoping you guys react to The Stage by them at some point, but make sure you watch the video along with it to fully understand the song. Its a pretty heavy topic in it.
Absolutely in my opinion their best song and is a more accurate depiction of history than what I got in college

TheRev 🙏🙏 R.i.P
next save me, this another masterpiece from A7X
Maybe their best song ever
Potassium is what prevents muscle cramps. I always encourage drummers to eat a couple bananas before practice. It's a serious bitch to get a cramp right in the middle of a show
Merry Christmas guys!!

Fun reaction. 👊🏽⚡️Revelation chapter 17 is we’re the lyrics are inspired by.
This entire ALBUM fired on all cylinders
Aaron Gillespie from Underoath is another great drummer and singer! I definitely recommend either desperate times desperate measures or writing on the walls.
Solid forsure, I think Brann Dailor is the best drummer/singer in metal/hard rock right now currently, Aaron Gillespie is a good musician tho forsure.
I didn't like this album at first, as the singer had to switch up his vocal technique to save his vocal chords, but after a few listens to the album, I really started to dig how his new voice made the band sound like a metal as fuck Guns N' Roses.

Skip to 5:45 if you wanna actual see the reaction.
Mike Awesome was still the ECW champion when he signed for WCW. He had to go back to a ECW house show where he dropped the belt to Tazz.
Should do the full LBC concert. It’s their best show they have ever played by far.
I've seen the Rev live multiple times and have jammed A7X on drums for years. Second Heartbeat in the LBC and Critical Acclaim are amazing live performances. He sings and solos the chorus of Critical Acclaim live, he was a pianist on the drums.
7:32 the power of the Rev nothing like it sounds like he has beef with that snare
The rev was in another band called Pinkly Smooth.... I've been a deathbat from the beginning (born and raised in northern California), but the rev and synister gates in Pinkly Smooth is definitely worth a listen.
Come on trash talking family let's give Hollywood his early Christmas present and vote for Rev..🗑️🗣️4️⃣🧬
This song is about the fall of the city of Babylon. Awesome song, my favorite from A7X.
Trashed and Scattered relates so much today! By far my favorite of A7X
Glad A7X is on the Playlist these days..such a great band! Love the reactions

The rev was a master at walking into the studio laying down the drum tracks and walking out all in 1 try

Almost easy has some amazing drumming work. The Rev has a fill that he puts in a couple of times that is ridiculously cool.

Merry Christmas Guys!
There is a video of them singing A Little Piece of Heaven - Live in the LBC that is on youtube if you look for it. It's as good as you expect it to be.
One of the many songs that makes me want to learn double bass legendary!
You guys should listen Attila-Pizza its so great.
You oughta try one of their songs from Sounding the 7th Trumpet. Very different Avenged sound. They actually played on the Van's Warped Tour back then...

A7X
👋🏻😸✌🏻
I’m waiting for y’all to get to “Afterlife” but so many good ones. Also, “A Little Piece of Heaven” in LBC would be perfect if The Rev wins.
Another great drummer is the current drummer for trivium. I would suggest checking out some of their stuff. The current drummer is from the last three albums to now
Yo that fucking cat in the beginning lol
Mike Awesome had the best hair in ECW
Personally my favorite track with Rev is Trashed and scattered.
Very cool.
I don't know if its hes best drumming performance, but you should check out Afterlife to hear hes vocal capacity. Jimmy is screaming for about 21 seconds, how many drummers can do that?
Check the band Iced Earth a song called Travel in Stygian.
I love A7X. Do Nightmare and Bat County.

They are a modern band with heavy throwback to the likes of Iron Maiden or Judas Priest.
