@@CurtisT1019 notice how you mentioned turnovers but you didn't mention the assists difference and the fact that lebron has a better assist to turnover ratio while being a way better passer. Lebron missed the playoffs winning more games. Jordan was able to make the playoffs with a 30-52 record. Lebron didn't make the playoffs until he led his team to 50 wins in his third season. Oh not to mention the stats on clutch shots is wrong and jordan played way weaker competition. Yall are disingenuous.

    • @CurtisT1019
      @CurtisT1019 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@sportstalkonly1442 I did leave turnovers off, and that was my mistake. But if we went down the list, there’s way more checkmarks in Jordan’s favor than there are in LeBron’s (even counting assists). I don’t know who came up with the notion that LeBron faces tougher competition. The teams Jordan beat on average had more wins than the teams LeBron beat. The Warriors with KD may be the only exception but that’s not the only team he faced. And let’s not forget that the Eastern conference was very weak when LeBron led his team to the finals early on. Which is why it was dubbed the “Leastern Conference”. And the stats on clutch shots are not wrong. But don’t take my word for it do the research yourself. I speak on facts and not emotion.

    • @sportstalkonly1442
      @sportstalkonly1442 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@CurtisT1019 dude regular season wins prove nothing. Most teams that have been to the finals excluding lockout seasons have won 50 and 60 games. The difference is the spurs and warriors are historical teams with multiple playoff and finals records for win percentages and dominance. The teams Jordan faced are and were not historical unless you're talking about the 80s. And when he did face teams on that level he lost. So you can call the Eastern conference that lebron played in weak because he went to 8 straight finals but Jordan's eastern conference wasn't weak when he went to 6 in 8 years and without him his team won 55 games and made it to game 7 of the ecsf? How about when bird, magic and dr j called the 90s watered down? How about when Dennis Rodman and Utah jazz coach Jerry Sloan agreed that the 90s was watered down and weak?

    THE TOP 20 ALL TIME:
    1. Michael Jordan - the greatest player and the greatest career in NBA history. Most dominant offensive force and one of the games best defenders.
    6x Champ 6x FMVP 5x MVP
    2. Bill Russell - the greatest winner and greatest defensive force in NBA and sports history. A legend on/off court. The key to NBA first dynasty.
    11x Champ 5x FMVP 5x MVP
    3. Magic Johnson - the great PG ever (so far…). REVOLUTIONIZED his position and saved the NBA.
    5x Champ 3x FMVP 3xMVP
    4. LeBron James - the greatest longevity in sports history. One of the most dominant forces ever and top5 all round player. Still.. counting.
    4x Champ 4x FMVP 4x MVP
    5. Tim Duncan - best PF ever. One of the most fundamentally sound players ever. Played both ends at the highest level for 15 seasons.
    5x Champ 3x FMVP 2x MVP
    6. Kareem Abdul Jabar - owner of the most dominant go-to move on offense. The HOOK. The previous scoring leader and lead all points for 4 decades. The greatest BASKETBALL career ever.
    Prep to Pro.
    6x Champ 2x FMVP 6x MVP
    7. Kobe Bryant - see number 1 and dilute the athleticism and physical intangibles and that’s what you got.
Arguably the greatest warrior in NBA history.
    5x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP
    8. Shaquille O’Neal - the most dominant ever. The immovable object/unstoppable force. Shaq was the definition of dominance.
    4x Champ 3x FMVP 1x MVP
    9. Larry Bird - maybe the most legendary on the list. Precursor to Jokic but better. One of the most skilled & clutch players ever.
    In any sport.
    3x Champ 2x FMVP 3x MVP
    10. Hakeem Olajuwon - back to back.
The best of the mid90’s and second best player in the era. Hakeem is like Russell but with AllNBA offensive ability.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP
    11. Wilt Chamberlain - the games most prolific scorers. Arguably it’s greatest defender as well. The man could do it all. Even lead the league in assist at 7”2. Wilt IS unparalleled.
    GOAT athlete.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP 3x MVP
    12. Steph Curry - the games most prolific shooter and one of its greatest scorers. REVOLUTIONIZED the game forever. STILL GOING.
    4x Champ 1x FMVP 2x MVP
    13. Isaiah Thomas - ZEKE. CP3 before CP3 but nastier and meaner. A warrior and one of the games greatest strategist and generals. Quietly a top5 passer.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP
    14. Oscar Robertson - the greatest all around basketball player ever. Could do everything at a AllNBA level.
Changed the way players were interpreted and influenced generations.
    1x Champ 2x MVP
    15. Kevin Durant - the Slim Reaper is likely the most ideal offensive weapon ever. Can hit from anywhere, anytime over anyone. Hard to beat and impossible to match that level of offensive dominance.
    2x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP
    16. Julius Erving - The good Dr., the FIRST MJ (before Magic & Jordan), The icon and face of BOTH leagues that saved the game in the 70’s. Kareem was the best but Doc was a close 2nd. Underrated statistical brilliance. Was like a 6’7-6’8 Giannis but with a better jump shot.
    3x Champ (1 NBA) 2x FMVP 4x MVP (1 NBA)
17.. Moses Malone - CHAIRMAN OF DA BOARDS. Arguably the best board getter… ever. Only Wilt, Russell, Rodman and Thurmond belong in the same discussion. Moses lead his people to the promise land more than once but was able to claim immortality in the early 80’s. His team lead by the dynamic duo of he and Doc dominated the league. Before Lakers v. Celtics it was 76ers v. Celtics-Lakers.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 3xMVP
    17. John Havlicek - the GREAT one. MJ is 6-0.
Ole Johnny is 8-0. The offensive force off the bench or starting that lead the dynastic Celtics to all 8. Early in his career he was akin to Jordan Poole role on Warriors 22’ team but better at everything but the 3 ball.
Then in the late 60’s-70’s he sat in captains seat. His career is a unique mix.
Played like Pippen with elite perimeter shooting/scoring, early career was early Kobe-esque, late career MJ/Kobe-esque.
John’s game rose in the playoffs.
    8x Champ 1x FMVP (likely 4x)
    18. Giannis Antetokounmpo - it’s getting freaky… GreekMan is literally on the ride to potentially threatening Tim’s best PF title.
If he can add a couple more rings to his already HOF profile he will likely be the new PF or TOP 5 player. Yea. THAT GOOD.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP 2x MVP 1x DPOY
    19. Jerry West - The LOGO. Steph Curry before Steph. The man that built the LA franchise along Baylor post Mikan era.
Jerry West was the blueprint skill base for players like Kobe, MJ, TMac, etc
At 6’2-6’3 he torched his opponents his entire career and dropped plenty of dimes.
The ORIGINAL combo guard. So damn great he LOST and still won FMVP… case closed.
    1x Champ 1x FMVP
    20. Nikola Jokic - the Joker is no damn joke.
Genuinely a candidate for potential GOAT if his career pans out in the extreme positive like that of the top 10. Jokic is in a unique place being the greatest passing big statically NBA history (excluding Magic).
If Jokic finds a way to fit more jewelry in his fingers, we might have to have a real discussion about that greatest Center of all time discussion. Yes. Potentially a top 5 player alert.

the best series of his entire career against #1
ranked defence and reigning DPOY Dwight

49FG% and 59TS. And no, the team didn't
"lock down his teammates and let him get his",
      that's a throwaway that people that didn't
watch the series say to downplay his ridiculous
performance. More importantly, that very post
season LeBron played against old school non-
small ball big men all throughout the Eastern
Conference. Against Tyson Chandler and Amare
      Stoudamire, he averaged 26/8/8 on 47FG% &
60TS%. Against Roy Hibbert and David West,
      30/11/6 on 50FG%o and 56TS%. KG? 34/11/4 on

Lebron didn't play against mental abuse or assault and battery. He wasn't choked or body slammed in a live game. He cries about every little bump. In 20 years of playing in the NBA his body didn't take much damage or punishment. This contributed to him being able to play longer cause his body didn't take abuse. Let's be honest. What a short sighted take. Most basketball injuries are soft tissue injuries. The reason these injuries have increased is because due to the space on the court you have to cover way more ground leading to injury. The game was so slow in the 90s still feeding the post and standing still. There was not nearly the amount of movement. Sports science tells us that the increased space leads to a far more physically demanding style due to the pace. The fact that lebron has been able to play in multiple eras with multiple styles of play. If you really know the game it’s so much more to the conversation than physicality. Also to act like Bron couldn’t play in a physical league is a hilariously short sighted take. Acting like a handcheck is gonna affect a 6’9 265 pound dude is wild to me there was no athlete in the league that would have been able to withstand his first step and power. Sorry bro u lost it’s ok. Not really much of a leg to stand on when we actually break down the game. If you wanna pedal narratives that don’t have a real basketball argument that’s fine but don’t act like u really know hoops.

Tim Duncan is 2-1 vs Lebron in the finals including the 2014 where an old way past prime Duncan’s team beat Lebron’s superteam heat squad in record fashion as it was the largest margin of victory in nba finals history so Michael’s Jordan’s competition took out Duncan who’s collected 2 rings off of Lebron. Also the Shaq and penny magic squad is better than any team Lebron ever faced in the east. Jordan beat and played way more 50 and 60 win teams. People often overlook the undeniable truth: LeBron James is the reigning “icon” of our time. He’s not just an athlete; he’s a phenomenon, meticulously crafted under the powerhouse of Nike. At the heart of this spectacle lies one simple truth: it’s all about revenue-pure, unadulterated MONEY. Nike is determined to elevate LeBron’s stardom to stratospheric heights, and why? To sell the brand. This is marketing at its finest, and it’s high time we grasp this reality. Buzz, controversy, and star power are the currency of this game. As long as they can monetize LeBron’s name and generate millions, he will be heralded as “The Goat,” King James, in their eyes.
Nike is the titan behind this operation-a juggernaut that shapes public perception. Notice how we don’t see other incredible talents, like Stephen Curry, receiving the same level of elevation? It’s simple: Curry is Under Armour, while LeBron is Nike. This distinction is everything. The whole narrative is a grand performance, a business strategy aimed at maximizing profit.
Think about it: the emotional rollercoaster of teams, players, and statistics pulls fans in, making them invest their hard-earned money, time, and passion into this corporate machine. The goal? To reap as much profit as possible. This is the reality of the sports world, where the lines between passion and business blur, and the spotlight shines brightest on those who can sell the dream.
