1 box stuffing mix
1/4 cup milk (water ok)
1 1/2 cups water
Skillet corn

I used to work at Walmart and yes it's crazy the stuff you find we used to find meat in the aisle instead of just saying you don't want it, I always put stuff back and make my children do the same too

Very respectable to come up with that variety for an Easter Dinner during these times. Its also giving people another perspective that Easter dinner isn't about a fancy spiral ham and all that......its much more....sharing a meal with family and friends.

I realize how lucky we were growing up. My mom was an amazing cook. My dad gave her a grocery budget. She bought cheap meat and cooked it in her pressure cooker making it so tender. She even cook potatoes in there with gravy. When she had extra money she bought us things from the thrift store on base or on the economy.

I have an easy cobbler. It is 1 cup flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup milk,mix well. Melt 1/2 stick marg or butter in bottom of pan in 375 oven. When melted pour batter on top. Then add 1large can or 2 small with juice on top. Bake until cake part is done. I usually add a little cinnamon to batter. Simple and been doing for year. Pineapple is great could use fruit cocktail also. Thank you for you show.

I haven't seen the food go up but they have alot of items that are $3, $5, $7
One thing I would say is I might have dumped one of these vegetables…. Maybe the corn and gotten a carton of ice cream to add to cobbler because you got a lot of starches some ice cream and that color would really make it fantastic

My sister-in-law always made us Turkey & Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Watergate Salad & I always brought her a Pecan Pie that we both loved.

As a diabetic, I'd leave off the biscuits and count the stuffing, cake mix, and rice as carbs and add another can of chicken or get some cheese to go on top of the broccoli casserole. I really enjoy your videos!!!
Always go for frozen veggies over canned.. better taste not mushy and lower sodium

That meal looked unbelievably delicious! Peach dump cake is my favorite!! When we were kids our moms made homemade “dream whip” out of fry coffee creamer to put on our desserts and it’s still my favorite way to eat dump cake!

That meal looked awesome! I cook my green beans all the way down to barely any liquid also. Pretty soon when Dollar Tree goes up again, it will be cheaper at just about any store for some of their items! They are going to price themselves out of business!!
I put my potatoes in the Instapot. Makes it so easy to peel.
Also, I chop up my yolks with a potato masher, the kind with the square holes. Makes everything a breeze and is very creamy❤

You can really save by celebrating with an Easter brunch meal instead of a heavy dinner. Even from DT, you could do pancakes or waffles with choc chips, or a sauce from their frozen berries. Serve with sausage. Cupcakes with white frosting as a brunch dessert. Simplify, and the fewer ingredients, the better.

I’m no spring chicken and my days are going by so fast, wanted to make a special day… Thanks to your encouragement I’ve a well stocked pantry and can make exactly what you’re doing now. Even if I’m vetoed for Easter I’m making anyway! Blessed holiday to you and the boys ❤❤
❤ Dollar Tree my coffee, bath soaps & shower gels, hair supplies of brushes, shampoos, conditioner , hair spray - oh dont get me started - it is usually $10-$20 before I leave but elsewhere the items would have been $2-$4 higher so the savings are awesome ! Great haul

I live in Texas and I have both a Walmart and a Combined Dollar tree Family dollar store. Both stores are 5 minutes from my house.
