    I’m 55, just found a 30 year old absolutely gorgeous Filipina, sweet as can be, educated, has money, her own business (a private school and a cafe), a car, comes from a good family… and she loves me and just wants a kind man to be with her thru life’s way. We are planning to marry in four months and I will live at her place in the province so she can be near to her family and friends and keep her business. I’ve already done everything I want in life. Being with her at her home town is a small sacrifice to have such a wonderful woman. I’m literally beginning a new life.

    • @danielhackney7806
      @danielhackney7806 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sounds good, I'm a bit surprised she lives in the province. Most video's I watch say the type of girl you describe lives in the big cities. You didn't mention if she has kids or if you guys plan to have kids if she doesn't have any. Are you leaving behind any kids you have when you move permanently to the Phil's?

    good vid Mike. you and Paul are me. im 68 years old living in Michigan all my life. im the rational economic man. "if i dont need it, i dont buy it." i have plenty of retirement assets. but i dont have the big yank to take on Filipino partner and get her set up for when i die. i like my space and being totally independent. the obligations and requirements of a serious relationship is more stress and obligation than i need at this point in my life. been there, done that. i know it means spending more time alone, but im good with that. i can always watch guys like you on youtube and post comments like this😂

    The first time I moved to the Philippines, I was just 18 years old. I lived in Angeles City and was assigned to Clark Air Base from 1980 to 1988, with a one-year break. When I retired from the Air Force 24 years ago, I moved to the Philippines to marry a longtime girl friend. My wife and I are now snowbirds and divide our time between homes in Oregon, Manila, and Eastern Samar, where we also have a very successful boarding house/café. When bored, or have the time lol, I watch both of your channels with my neighbor, who is also retired military with a long history of living in the Philippines. This gives us something interesting to talk about. We compare our experiences with what is being discussed on both channels. You are providing some very helpful information. Great job. Keep it up.

    You two are great I’m really enjoying these videos I’m a lady from ohio. I can totally see why men go there to find ladies. Very interesting. You two seem to have done it right. You are happy and treat your wives well that’s why they treat you well and stay with you. Looking out for them even after death makes them feel stable. All women want that. I think the relationships that don’t work out seem to be not so nice guys attracting not so nice girls. Also age is def just a number. My husband and I are 13 years apart and are best friends and get along great. Keep doing what your doing lead your best life. Enjoy! Always lead with kindness.

    I agree…if you’re qualified with a skill, take months off EVERY year and travel. After I married a Filipina, I was able to be home months at a time, and work back in the USA months at a time as needed. Different time…different world. I started going to Asia and Europe for work in the 80’s. Maybe I was lucky. Courting women was “old school”. Once you find a keeper, make babies and work as little as possible. Enjoy life. I finally retired in 2024… looking forward to chasing the grand babies around the coconut tree….😊.

    I planned during my working years and accumulated more money after divorce, which brought me to zero. I learned my lesson. So now I'm waiting for my FRA for SSI to get more money again. Starting over in the Philippines is wonderful. Old Dog is great at keeping us informed about what to do, if we ever lose everything.😅

    What a great video good information I loved to hear Paul story about the marine sanctuary again that reminded me even with my life here in the United States. I’m slowing down in the building trades and getting close to retirement. Everything can wait until tomorrow. I’ll eventually get to it not a big deal I love that story.
    As an American, I get caught up in the rat race. It’s nice to be filtering out of the rat race. Nice and easy!!!

    Similar experience at the Grand Canyon. I was relocating to SoCal and took the route via the Grand Canyon. I couldn’t find a hotel as I got close to the Grand Canyon so I parked and slept in the car overnight near the park. Woke up early and went to the Canyon and only stayed about 30 minutes. Then off to Las Vegas. Too tired and didn’t feel like hiking down the canyon.

    I've been in Thailand 14 years now from the USA. I found some of the best advice early on from fellow expats.
    Don't own but rent. Don't invest all your money into a house. Cash is King so spend accordingly. Motorcycles are a great way to get around but one small accident can have life long consequences. Car accidents you can walk away but on motorcycle mishaps usually involve some sort of hospital treatment.
    Im like Paul. Park the car and do mutiple errands in town on the same day. Above everything else, there isn't a need to rush everywhere. Being retired allows so much more freedom and free time. You will adjust your lifestyle to avoid weekend shopping trips.
    Some days in all comes together, other days nothing can go right. Being away from a big city, things will be out of stock etc. You learn to adjust your Wants VS your Needs.

    Nice job. I enjoyed this. Paul, if you read this, I think the cataract surgery should be significantly cheaper (but I could be wrong), I'll check with an ophthalmologist friend up North who works out of several hospitals and does them, and ask how much she charges and let you know if that might be an option.
