Great review! I think if they had sold it just the way you have it there (attractive body, wide kit, big knobbies), it would double in sales!

Love my Sketer! I did the same wide mod and Badlands as you. As you said, it only improved the already great handling. I installed a Max 8 and 4274 motor upgrade with 16t pinion. Plenty fast for me...I can't even imaging 6s. The one issue I had out of the box was a front leaking shock.
@Wheels007 Some nice upgrades👍 Wow leaky shocks. Was it the seals or just the shock cap not screwed down?
@@ReadySetRC I checked the rubber membrane, checked the rim of the shock top, and checked the cap for damage. The top was tight. There was nothing I could see damaged. It just kept leaking. Again it was 1 out of the 4. The others are fine. I bought a pair from JRC for under $20. Problem solved😁

@@ReadySetRC I run the stock system geared up with bigger wheels and tires and m2c 5mm hexs...it runs pretty hard.. backflips easily.. one day I might put the 6s system in it tho

I've got one too. Wide conversion, 6s, body swap and it's a beast. Best value RC I've found yet.

That is a great final thoughts on the Skeeter, I totally agree with everything that you said in this video. I am still working with the Skeeter, I'm still using the original ESC but put in a 1900Kv from Firma and so far It has a lot more speed and torque using the 1900Kv. It is a tank the servo is awesome. I think everyone who has the Skeeter dislike the bumper any front end landing it will break or tear completely off. It is smooth in all aspect out of the box but is under geared. Besides taking off the side panels put the fan on and if they could put the motor mount from the Kronos and Dementor it would be perfect. Thanks for sharing 💯💯💯💯💯💫💫💫💫💫👍🤜🤛

I would've done same using truggy hubs 6s esc I prefer the low profile wheels getting power to ground high speeds over the low speed backflips type bashing .
It's ok, but do not land upside down. That will destroy the rear shock tower and center support component. The rear dog bones are very thin at 4mm, so they bend easily. So be careful with sideways landings. Thanks for the video!
Also, the stock tires are not good enough for double backflips. I put a 16t pinion on mine since it's too slow with the stock pinion. I since removed the stock system for a 6s one actually since the stock 4s ESC kept hitting thermal. I think this truck is too heavy for the stock motor and ESC personally.
@Rc enthusiast. I'm thinking you may not have seen the running videos😊 So far so good, still in one piece but mine is far from stock. The truggified setup maybe helping me with limiting those breaks.

I think stock it's well worth it but honestly if you didn't have alot of the stuff on hand that would be like a $700 truck wouldn't it? After the conversion in arms, esc, motor, wheels. Now I love what you did to it but my point is I think even in its stock form it's definitely a great buy. I geared up to a 15t and does about 50mph and feels good. I think I might eventually do your conversion to widen it out for sure as well. Do you think if I put a 150a esc in it it would make a little difference even on 4s? Great job man. I'd love to widen it to give me more wheel options like badlands and backflip lps
@Chris Watson I think this truck would be just as good in the stock form with some tweaks. Oh yeah, 150A ESC with the stock 4s motor you should see a bump. Just stick a fan on that motor but you maybe able to get away without one in the winter months.
@@ReadySetRC Cool, yeah that's what I was thinking as well. I have one of those fans that they have that stock compartment for blowing on the rear. Think that's a good setup? I know you had one too so was curious if it worked well or not. I have a set of steering blocks for my punisher so I'm thinking of doing your mod. Would all I need is 4x kronos driveshafts and front and rear arms? Oh and would I need the links? Appreciate any advice as always bro
@@cwatson42785 Hey Chris, Those fans work well, just a little bit of work to get the wiring sorted out. All you would need is the steering blocks for the front and the rear hubs. You don't need the arms. You only need the out drives not the the entire drive shaft. If you replaced the arms and the driveshafts you would turn this into a Jambo or Dementor😊 Also the links stay, no change there. I have a video of the install if that makes it easier.
Stock body is SO ugly! I like the Rival body even better... I can't wait to finish watching this review but I have a feeling it's going to be nothing but positive! I've also heard from a few people that the TC wheels are as good as stock Arrma Wheels.
@William Perri Not all positive😊 Some of the Corally wheels have been really good. I just tried these on the Mojave, WOW!
@@ReadySetRC Cool! I would love to see you back out with the Mojave and different Wheels! I think TC is not going to be like other companies and take two or three years to change the direction of this truck.
The constant pop ups throughout the video are pretty obtrusive, I wouldn't subscribe to or support a channel that does that. Just trying to give some constructive criticism.
@Jonathan P Are you speaking of the SUBSCRIBE pop ups, if it's not added people don't subscribe, hit the bell or hit the like button. It's been helping as a reminder. Plus people jump around the video and not watch the whole thing, so at some point they will see it.
@@ReadySetRC People will do that stuff on their own if they want to, we all know how YT works. But it's your channel do what you want.
@@666cemetaryslut I used to not care and just say it once in the video but after putting money into buying RC's, hours into filming and editing, what's a little reminder to sub or at least throw the vid a like. I look at it like this, the content it's not just mine once I post but I'm doing the heavy lifting😊 Hopefully that does not stop you from coming back. I've been in the hobby for over 20+ years but YT for the last 5 years so the channel is always evolving.
