Team Corally has released a brand-new platform and vehicle, the Sketer XP 4S monster truck! I've been running this truck everyday for over a week (sometimes twice a day!) and feel like I have a good understanding of the truck. It's pretty impressive and I think they reset the bar for the 4S class. Sells for $489.99 at your local hobby shop, let's do the full review of this new RC car.

Once again, you nailed it with the review. I don't have a horse in this race yet as I haven't had to time to edit my unboxing, much less drive the Sketer, but based on what I've seen from your running videos and having a good look at the truck first hand, I think you're pretty much bang on in this review.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to drive mine this weekend and see for myself what this truck is like. Appreciate the effort you put in and thanks for an honest review. I really enjoy watching a channel that takes the time to construct a balanced review and present it properly. Well done. 👍😎

The hype train is something that needs to die in this hobby. Seriously, most of this so-called hype is done by people who never touched an RC, let alone buy, drive, & deal with its problems. We're all grown men & women here. We don't need infantile hype to tell us how to spend our money. We need hard facts & opinions based on reality. The beefiness of this rig put even most 6s, to shame, including Corally's own current lineup, even though they will be featuring the same upgrades soon. The fact that they released this truck with those upgrades instead of saving them for the 6s lineup also says tons about Corally's integrity. They care much more about releasing a decent product than gimmicks & hype. Gimmicks & hype won't do a bloody thing for you when you're burning time fixing & upgrading a busted truck.
Looks like an incredible truck! A year on and I still absolutely love my Punisher! Makes me SUPER tempted to get this and turn it 6s as a stunt truck!

I am very new to rc, but am loving it. I bought a slash brushed to learn with, and quickly needed something faster in a 1/8 scale and the store i shop at just got the kagama (a few months back) from corally and I totally fell for it. like i said I don't know alot, but i know fun and its a great car. I love it out in the dirt and bmx park. Great review, youtube is an amazing platform to get knowledge and how to video's for upgrades and evaluations. Cheers and rule 1 have fun.
Great review as always👍 I love your straight real world reviews! Not everyone's looking to wheelie and backflip all day long(not me anyway)... The quality and investment thatTC is putting in shows. This truck can easily be reconfigured to become a serious stunt truck for those who want it to be, as you have demonstrated with the wide setup. Add big tires and 6s system and bam, a wheelie/backflipping legend I'd bet.
For me, I kinda like the do it all rig that this seems to be right outta the box.. keep up the great reviews Razor😎
I'm impressed competition between manufactures is awsome for the rc enthusiast and it looks like corally is really stepping up their game i would not have even considered buying one until watching this vid

Up to this point I've stayed away from corallys but after I saw ur unboxing I was so impressed with how far team corally has come.... so I looked into getting a skeater... just like U said corally updated there 6s Kronos 2022 version roller to have these beefier parts so I went with that instead... cant wait till it gets here.

Razor if you do any wrenching or maintenance on this truck I'd love to see videos if you feel like making them. With it being a newer platform that's kinda packed with reinforcements and parts I'm sure it will be a little tricky to work on. But I guess that's part of having a truck so beefed up

Looks great except for its stunt capability, which is a priority for me. Will 3.8 tires have clearance with just wider hubs/axles, or do you also need the longer arms? With 6s and 3.8 tires, I think it could be a stunt superstar.
How are the bulkheads? Do they still have the problem like the kronos and the others?
Been looking at this massively impressed , does seem that it has many positive reviews .
I was looking for a second car to go with my Vorteks and this would definitely fit that bill as UK seems to have good support for parts as well .
It's between this or a Big rock v3 as the pricing is almost the same here in the UK .
Could this motor and esc combo go great in the Traxxas Maxx?
The design is completely for durability. But there are many points where its overbuilt and the parts are blocking other parts like the braces blocks the centerdiff. Skidplates blocks screws beneath.
yeah, I rated maintenance below average because there is so much bracing and some of the screws/nuts are hard to get to.
Have you made any tweaks to improve the jumping? Looks like the front end is just too soft, I'd gladly give up some of that low speed steering for better bump/jump handling. Your Kronos looked so much better on the bashing track.
Great video once again. By the way the radio that Team Corally uses is the same standard radio that ABSIMA uses in most of its 1/8 scale cars the CR2S.V2.

Ya quite polar opposites. I’ll use names I’m nobody. Traxxas and horizon. The fireteam release is the icing on the cake for sunshine and rainbow shill reviews. I think most people have had enough of this marketing scheme judging by the majority of comments from regular people. I understand and support the idea of arrmas same platform with different configurations it’s fantastic design all around. But when there’s like 10 instant drop videos on release day filled with praise and nothing negative to say or honest breakdowns. it’s almost comical what companies do for marketing.
While the fireteam body isn't my cup of tea what are some negatives people aren't speaking about? Seems like guys that got them genuinely like it. All the guys that got one well most of them anyway were genuine with their review of the truck imo. Had they did a more monster truck style body and wheels I would've been interested for sure. I think it's a stretch to call the fireteam reviewers shills...Alot of good guys and channels.

Both comments make sence I agree they good guys and its probably my favorite rcs " the arrmas " so I know they good 👍 but you have to admit chris they act like they never driven a arrma and razor alluding too what I always had a hunch about and his statements were funny unicorns and rainbows 🌈 they probably send a disclaimer that states not to talk negative no disclosure of the rc you don't like it don't promote or something like that .
This is a great truck way better value than the maxx I've been using the maxx because cold smowy weather easier to keep after . It dives like s..... though lol even the granite tuned eats it for lunch im sure if I tuned maxx it would be better already put backflips. Going try capacitors to get rid of the delay just got that idea watching the review .

Mine is a beast. The TX and reciever are horrible in mine and seeing some same feedback in others as well. Runs much better using my cheap Arrma radio combo.
Excellent review! 4 stars for durability, though?! Show me a truck this size that has better durability - 5 stars, baby, best in class! As for support and maintenance, 2 stars is a bit harsh but I won't argue the point too passionately (but 3 stars in my mind) . Easily the best deal out there for a 4s truck - 5 stars, all day long. Normally, I have no interest in Corally vehicles but this thing is a home run!
Hope RPM comes up with A-arms & front rear bumpers ..
It does look like they threw anything on it to make it strong that's for sure!

I think the arms breaking is great, your not ripping out hinge pins from a broken diff.
true, arms are pretty cheap and easy to replace
And most Corally arms are built to except carbon fiber inserts
As always, a very fair review. Corally can't be making any money on this car. I believe they want to get their name out there and are making the price point attractive. This is a $550 car all day long! I do hope the parts support improves. Hope to see more from this truck 👍
If you don't think they are making money on a $500 toy car you are nuts.. these companies make a killing on us!
Have you landed upside down yet with your Sketer? Don't! My rear shock tower got bent badly like that. It's pretty weak. That's the only weakness that I've found so far on the Sketer and my kind of mid level bashing (10-20ft high jumps off my ramps). I crash a lot sometimes though 🤣
Would love to see team corally turn this into a buggy
The tower to tower brace would not work with buggy body ..But they have great buggies already

I'm not sure, the AE buggies usually score about this high and the MT410 scored pretty high IIRC.

Good review👍 however I do have to disagree about them having what you call "cojones" because on their new 2022 release of the Kronos XTR my very truthful comment was immediately deleted but fortunately I was able to screenshot for proof. But we're not here to talk about this point the point is this little truck does appear to be well made but appearances can be deceiving time will tell the truth because the truth is out there 😜 👍 where did the format for this particular review come from is what I would like to know "using the truth wording" 😜😉
Thanks for checking out the video, I’ve been using the truth titles the last 5-6 reviews because I think a lot of people are either incapable or unwilling to really deep dive into the car and understand it. Like the only things they can comment on is “did it break” and “how fast did it go”, when there is so much more to an RC car than that. 🤷
Now that's how you build a 4s rig... hint hint Arrma.
love the chassis, hate the body style
The body has grown on me but I'd still change it as soon as it got wore out lol
The looks category it gets a one star, I’ve barely seen a skeeter do a wheelie as well, backflip no way. Fun factor is a 2....
I Won't be buying any more RCs that have Aluminum or steel chassis have 5 of them an the more metal parts the more parts that will bend. I know Traxxas is more expensive but I have broken way less on them than my other RCs an parts are easy to get most traxxas parts I break I can drive 25 to 45 miles and get replacement parts an Amain hobbys has all the parts. I recommend buying a good plastic chassie truck or car!
I agree. The RC community has an unhealthy obsession with metal. When built right, plastic is often superior. Unfortunately, I think manufacturers often cater to public opinion. Metal sucks, I want quality plastic.
yeah, just depends on what you're looking for. the Maxx is a beast durability-wise, but it drives like poop, so everything has tradeoffs.
Too expensive for a truck that parts are difficult to find. I will pass for now

Why corraly made ugly body shells, they should makes beautiful body so people will buy they products. Personally I always looks at the body shell first.
The shell is the least important thing imo

@@rcmtb1052 This is not a real car..It's a polycarbonate shell that can be changed hundreds of times for cheap..Can I go outside and change the body of a real car whenever i want? Nope but I sure can with an RC car! Cheers bro!

The body shell can be changed for $25. A poorly built RC will be a headache even after hundreds of dollars in upgrades. If the body shell is your priority, you should build models. The rest of us want to DRIVE.
