Hey! Some comments: - Metro stop inside Prospect as the tunnel goes there already - You need to connect the train station of Shoreline with your new metro line. Just continue with an elevated or underground track. - You added new overground stations, but make sure every bus line that goes in front has a stop at both of them too. - Please link the shoreline metro line to your downtown train station, you can make the line goes where they are a lack of service, but like this, you close your train transport loop. - You again have a tram traffic. - The 3 car parks are really ugly. Why not use one multilevel and then use green parks in your empty spot? - It’s fun seeing you taking transportation seriously. Promising :)
completely unrelated but the sims 4 build music is throwing me off more than usual 🤕🥴 but I do love that the constant problem of Swords is traffic, not lacking resources or burning money-it’s traffic 💀
It would be awesome if at the end of episodes we could follow one person around in their transit, watching them use metro and tram in their commute! Love the series!
The Taxi Drivers' Union hereby asks for a hot dog truck close to their two new depots. They are confident that the concert-goers would also enjoy the greasy treat.
I just noticed that with regular traffic lights people seemed to get the greenlight the same way cars did, and the sheer volume of people crossing was slowing things massively. This change, combined with stricter lane control for the bus/tram/taxi seems to be really helping
I have to say how immersive the editing is. It’s such a subtle thing, but not simple, to slide between “live” commentary and Timelapse, adding in the sound effects of building and keeping the sound track going. Nice work.
I’d hate to disrupt your workflow, but can you please build that small lodge hotel(s) north of the city. On that nature space that you have there, near the water. Awesome series btw, love all about it!
Something that would help a lot with the traffic would be changing the smaller roads to one-way ones. Therefore cars wouldnt come from two different direcciones. This iS very helpful especially in highdensity áreas
Consider adding a bridge between the 2 bridges to relieve a lot of traffic from the one using the toll. So much of that traffic after crossing the river is turning left which seems to be a bottle neck. That intersection could probably benefit from a roundabout to help with those turning left. Great build !
Really enjoyed the episode! You were on the job today, no distractions, no second guessing... How unusual 😉 (jk) Some feedback: - I like the above ground metro. In Brussels it's called a "pre-metro". Maybe link it to the Seashore trainstation? - Those 3 parking lots? No. 😂 Why not a parking buiding and a nice actual park and a play ground instead of all the paving? - I don't the the motel in that spot would be nice. Can you imagine opening your currains and see a metro pass by? Imagine the noise and shaking... Or maybe I misunderstood your idea. Loving the series!
Darren! I so enjoy watching Swords grow and grow. Look like a real city. I love your narrations. I always get a good laugh from them. Looking forward to more. Hopefully a livestream soon.
Carlow East spends half it’s journey travelling West and Carlow West spends half it’s journey travelling East. As I mentioned before, mirrored lines on loops should be named clockwise or anti-clockwise.
Proposal: put the motel across the tracks. Behind a level crossing that branches off the main road. Or perhaps if you plan to expand that railway station, put the motel behind it so that it's right opposite the back entrance.
when you're in move it - ctrl+H matches the heights of two nodes together, so you dont have to do incremental height increases to guess if things are level. Also, pressing ctrl while making adjustments in move it makes it super fine adjustments :)
Thanks for another amazing series! I just found out that the 81 tiles mod gives you power to change the way electricity transmission is done. I remember you talking about that in a different video. You could let it run through the roads like in CS2. I also would love to see you make a campus area
Love the new and improved metro, now with more stops. I could see the areas around the new stops developing a bit more now that they have easy city access. Not a big fan of the motel idea for that spot myself. I think the new office area looks very nice. Excited for more downtown development.
another amazing episode, maybe next episode should be focused on making a new residential district and after a few people move in you could flesh out manor district a bit more maybe ven upgrade the stock exchange
It's looking lovely! Sure, a motel there wouldn't upset anyone, I think ☺ I'm a bit suprised you stay away from the waterfronts, because the landvalue around water is insane by default.
Darren, if you sub to Commuter Destination mod in the workshop ( i think it still works) you can then see where the passengers on your mass transit are heading to, i found it great for setting up mass transit and destinations
the tram that runs along the feeder road for the hospital etc should be rerouted one block over to go through your transit hub; that will reduce congestion for emergency vehicles
I would have expected the metro go up immediately and then use bridges. Planning for pedestrian bridges or tunnels, especially near metro and tram stations might reduce the crossing-problem as well.
Not sure how this game handles terrain thats not flat, but if you're looking for a challege it might be cool to see how you fit things in around a hilly or mountainous terrain.
hey I'm not hating btw, I'm loving the series, just an observation that you love a car park haha. but maybe it would be cool to build some sort of cultural area in the city, with things like museums, opera house, grand library etc., with some nice parks and gardens around it. something to break up the high density you know. (apologies if you've done this, I'm a few eps behind) @@WhatDarrenPlays
Its not a one way, they only have one direction they can exit. They cant turn left or go straight when leaving, they must go right. Coming back they can approach from wherever
You can go into policy and said photos the vehicles stopping and paying the go through as the pain do you need little disc wet and put that on is not too far from Old Town policy just if you want to get the traffic more moving to you can get more money fluctuating coming in😊
Yeah, got about 18 likes though, normal videos get around 10,000 views and have about 60 comments, wish more people engaged, but its just the way it is.

I think the tram traffic near the new taxi depots can be fixed by moving the stops after the junction

I didn't expect that pedestrian only traffic lights would be effective there but it works... Nice, I would try that too in my build.

The motel looks good on the side of the train btw love your city building, makes me excited about the second game love it though keep on going man

Loving the series!
a motel is cheap in general. the cheapest option to spend the night aside from sleeping on the streets. It's usually just for sex too haha
@@j134679 ok, but only if Darren calls it "The red heart motel ❤️" 🤣
More than halfway through video and finally getting to the thumbnail content lol

Nice green areas on edges between stuff and roads.

Loved the episode, as always! Comment for the algorithm ÷>
The Butler train crossing should have a bridge. Isn't your big road 80km/h? Dangerous times.

Not sure if you know this Darren but you can put traffic lights on pedestrian road crossings if they’re slowing traffic down too much
How? In the vanilla game I just see traffic lights or not. Is there something I’m missing? Is it within TMPE or another mod?
@@WhatDarrenPlays I believe you just use the TMPE mod and toggle traffic lights on the crossing itself.
Forgot to reply and say thank you, its a big help!

has access to heaps of cool unique buildings, continues to fill the space with parking lots :D

Darren, you didnt put back the services for Butler...I am not happy about the lack of services at my residence 😂
You railed this episode!
😉
I generally prefer elevated metros over underground ones (Except when i use the sunken stations from Train Stations CCP).
How do we get daily episodes? Loving it!
Dude you can auto set up a timed trafficlight by pressing cntrl right click i think it is makes it 10x quicker
It doesn't really set it up correctly though. I've tried it before, its a quick timed traffic light but it only works best for 4 way junctions imo.
When are you building a Airport?
On that road with the two taxi depots; if it's only a one way road, how do the taxis return to the depot then?
Its not a one way, they only have one direction they can exit. They cant turn left or go straight when leaving, they must go right. Coming back they can approach from wherever
When will there be a new Anno-episode?
So happy when I see this series :D
the sims building song LOL
Is the music the same as the sims 4 music or am I crazy?
You’re crazy!
Can you do the airport next episode?
No sorry not for a little while. I feel like I want to do a big harbour, then a pedestrian area, then a campus and then airport 😂
No more anno?
