Turned out beautiful despite the slope and square buildings. Reminds me of my hometown Christchurch where a lot of the downtown was destroyed in the 2011 earthquakes and a new wave of modern buildings were put in; perhaps that could be part of the lore for this area? Love the series btw, you're nailing it
I was in Victoria last summer for a few days. I think you nailed the vibe pretty well. If you ever get a chance to do the harbour that would be spectacular!
Awesome build. Building on hills is tough but I love the vibe you created and the nice variety of assets used to build the character of this part of the city. Looking forward to the next build
District idea: Barcket . Named after Barnet in London, when British settlers found rock port they decided to create a district in the corner of the town. People from Britain and All over their empire moved there and is now a bustling district full of European style buildings
The lockscreen on the computer I'm using is a photo of PIttsburgh, and when I turned the monitors back on I thought this paused video was a picture of the city
when you made some of the parking lots you didn't make any way to drive your car to those because there was some grass or trees on the way. I don't know anything about the game and things that are possible in it but that was just a thing that drawn my attention
Rugby is the biggest sport in Auckland, it would be a great idea if there was a large rugby stadium close to downtown! I know there isn’t much in terms of rugby stadiums on the workshop but I know aami park in Melbourne is on there and would fit well, along with smaller grass root rugby parks. Australian football is not popular at all in Nz so is not a good substitute
OMG TIMEISTER! REMEMBER THE THING THAT U SIAD REMINDS YOU OF THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE! IT LOOKS LIKE THE BOG WHITE BUILDING ON DAVID FOSTER WAY IN CANADA VICTORIA! TYPE IT UP AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!
Hey im from Aotearoa / New Zealand and would love for you to add in some Māori / native like assets, idk if the community has made much but I'd like for you to look up pā, marae and waka for inspiration... even just a nature reserve.
"This is the historical part, so it's not as much of a grid" -> shows us an extremely grid-like layout I don't mean this in a mean way that's just very funny to me, growing up in an old medieval city where the streets are completely organic it's just humorous to see this presented as an old city layout :p
I'm only 4 minutes in and every building placed is clipping the next building! 🙄😂 It bugs me enough that you individually place, but to clip them all... 👀🤦🏼♂️🤣
Not to far away from the port, it would be cool to see a need for speed style neighbourhood with heavy street racing and car culture.
Glad you liked my idea and back story for Emerald Heights. Hope it gives you some fun inspo while designing that area!
Love the series, I think a little amusement park on the coast would be so adorable, maybe inspired my Luna Park in Sydney, AU
Or in Melbourne. They have one on the shore too.

I live in Nz and I remember that
I could watch these videos all day... so entertaining and chill

I'm loving this series!
Hoping we get a few roadtrip videos once the city is complete.
Can you do a complete overview of the entire map as the world progresses? New fan that has been watching since Rockport episode 1. Love from Oklahoma
A fun idea could be to make an area based on Queen Street in Auckland, it’s recently been a lot more pedestrianied and it look quite cool and unique
Bro WHAT A EPISODE!
This is fucking cool looking hood
Ayyy another day another episode on rock port:)
You definitely got the victoria look pretty good. Its weird to hear my city mentioned lol
I’m high asf rn and this bangs my brain so hard

Yes sir, that's my favourite city once again! ♥️
Agree with you! 😮
You do a better job then the people that actually design the city (I live in Auckland)
if you are going to build a metro i suggest a modern but old at thee same time theme like tunnelbana (stockholm's metro) or helsinki's metro
You're really good at this but I hope you do some more Dunswell style editing for CS2
“Plahhzas and prom-i-nades” lol

Hey I think you should make a space museum anything kind of museum a cinema, a city hall and those are my ideas!
you could use a footballfield without yardlines. but technically you can play rugby on a soccerfield when you have the right rugby goals.
Make a amusmet park bc thers one in auckland called rainbows end
Loving the city so far

Australian Football is rather different to rugby. AFL is played on an oval shaped field.
Would you consider adding more bike infrastructure? Even with vanilla painted green bicycle gutters
Absolutely!

He's not using any workshop items for the series - just items you can get via the paid DLC and packs.
Neben der Schule wär ein Basketballplatz krass gekommen
You should name on of your high schools "Hobbit high"
*North American shocked by how every city around the world looks like*
Love the content mate keep it up.
The over lapping of buildings is hell for my ocd ::eye twitch::
make a Jakarta(its in Indonesia)based city, btw you will need a lot of brt stuff if you do make it, anyways, Rockport looks nice.
there are 3 rock ports in the USA and I think the one in texas is most like yours

Why don't you level the terrain befote you build?
Vanila top.
W
dont want to do this but first
why does tim keep placing buildings inside of each other??!??!?!
Nice, It reminds me of New York
Why does he keep putting building inside each other at different angles?
@TheTimester please, it is not pronounced the same way as Lemonade. Prom-en-ade = prohm-en-ahd
🤩🤩🤩
Nice
