The mustang is the first pony car - coupes/sedans with a small block engine. The main difference between small and big blocks engines mainly lies on how the torque is distributed across the RPMs. A "side-effect" difference is that small blocks at idle sound like "brr.brr.brr" whereas the big blocks at idle sound like "blah.blah.blah".
