I love how this big emotional moment happens when Luffy's wearing a weird hat and ridiculous fake beard. Only in One Piece would this be funny and still have emotional weight.

Always gets me a little bit cause you know that this reaction of his, as exaggerated as it is, is 100% genuine and he is legitimately that happy.

Because he was never dead. That's what Oda make you think, but let's be rational. Why would he bring up a character after all those years, only to know that he was dead.
He was never dead, he was thought dead. The only person here who came back from the dead is Brook. That happened because Brook ate a devil fruit that revives him so which means that the same thing cannot happen with another character.
Ace done got everything prepared in heaven to chill with sabo only to find out he's not there💀

they should make an arc where luffy gains the power to go to heaven and pull out someone from there to relive again but to get to heaven he has to die once so the whole crew thinks he is dead but it is just part of his power so while he is dead he is not actually dead he took out his soul and his soul travels to heaven and he pulls whoever he wants out of there but there is not full chance of him surviving because major plot twist the angel of death has to agree on it ( not god because you shouldnt draw god and your not supposed to impersonate him ) and if he disagrees luffy has to fight a very strong enemy that is every single one of his enemies from axe hand morgan to whoever the villain is in ressurection arc and if he agrees well obviously he gets to pull out someone from heaven but he can only do this 5 times in his lifetime also in this arc perhaps the villain of the arc can attac luffys hometown and destroy it but the only ones who die are i forgot their names but that big strong lady and the bar owner lady die and every time luffy goes there his chance of survival decreases 1st time 50% 2nd time 30% 3rd time 20% 4rth time 10% 5th time 5% andoda can think of the rest lol

It really shouldn't matter how long a series is.
It doesn't matter if u don't catch up in a matter of days or months the important stuff is to enjoy yourself and watch something u like. So if u feel like one piece can provide that I would say give it a shot.
Remember there is no race go at your own pace.
I definitely suggest that you do. Now is as good a time as ever to invest yourself in a series like this, seeing as we all have the time on our hands. It may start off a bit slow for some, but it all greatly succeeds on a grand and long-term scale. I could go on about how incredible the world-building, characterization, themes, and plot all are, but for now just trust us. It’s well worth it. :’)
Flower Lied Yes, you should, it’s one of the greatest pieces of fiction ever told. It’s better to read though

Monkey D. Luffy is lucky. He’s got Amuro Ray and Char Aznable for great allies. Just hope for no colony drops and Axis drops.
