Dragon is easily not the best father (literally chose career over family), but better than so many parents just for respecting Luffy’s decisions and dreams. Garp is the same way. He wanted Ace and Luffy to be marines, but always respected their decision to be pirates. At any time he could have beat their asses and dragged them into the marines. He’s even shown admiration and to be proud to see Luffy moving towards his dream (like “if my grandson is a criminal, he better be the best criminal.”)
Some of y’all keep arguing that dragon doesn’t give a f about luffy but let me remind y’all that whenever luffy’s first bounty came out, the rev army were talking about it and he stepped out of the building to “get some air,” smiled, and talked to himself about luffy living the way he wanted. If i recall correctly, he mentions something about longing for his loved ones or whatever and that’s why he faces that way. And let’s not forget dragon is the most wanted criminal in the world. If anyone knew he had a weakness, they could use luffy against him (at least whenever he was young and vulnerable) and that’s why dragon would stay away and luffy’d be kept a secret

No shit, luffy would have been arrested for being dragons son, we saw that with ace. Dragon cut all ties, he is not emotionless, he just appears like that to ensure luffy is safe. But now that luffy is a yonko, he would start to change. It’s hard to become super emotional after being stoic for decades. So give him some time, I bet 100% of my life on the fact that dragoon is a good father figure. Oda Sensei doesn’t do cheap cop outs.
I love how Ace/Sabo, although being older than Luffy, have always treated him like an equal and even up until now support him and feel so proud of his accomplishments.
Honestly I think only reason Luffy asked about the revolutionary army is because he now knows Sabo is part of it. He didn't seem to care about it after finding out his dad was the leader of the army in Water 7. But Luffy and Sabo has a brotherly bond just as Luffy and Ace did

Just got to this point in the anime. The criminal glow-up is actually crazy. Pre-Big Mom, the world new of the Straw Hats, but just as one of the crews of the worst generation; Then, Big Mom arc happens. Now, whether he is officially or not, the world knows him as a 19 year old Emperor of the Sea. I think my number one "looking forward to the most" moment is Luffy's grand fleet coming to his aid.
Why there is a feeling that Sabo got captured and will be executed but Straw Hats Alliance, Revolutionary Army and many more will come to save Sabo. Just like Marineford but a bigger one. Its just a feel.

Dragon is a God too I think. In Skypiea they mentioned 4 Gods: God of the sun, God of the Rain, God of the forest and God of the Earth. As we saw in Logue town when Luffy was about to be executed by Buggy, the weather was changing drastically and what was it that saved Luffy? The weather, or the lightning that occured due to the bad weather. Later on we saw Dragon, so he could possibly be one of the 3 remaining Gods considering that he can change the weather. Or it could be that he has a very strong Haki, because as we saw when Shanks and Whitebeard clashed, the sky split in two. If you're caught up in the manga or anime, when Big Mom and Kaido clashed the weather also changed and the sky split. I personally think that Dragon also ate one of the God - Devil fruits like Luffy and became a God.

Just got to this point in the anime. The criminal glow-up is actually crazy. Pre-Big Mom, the world new of the Straw Hats, but just as one of the crews of the worst generation; Then, Big Mom arc happens. Now, whether he is officially or not, the world knows him as a 19 year old Emperor of the Sea. I think my number one "looking forward to the most" moment is Luffy's grand fleet coming to his aid.
Luffy has like 6 months sailing, 2 years training, then for 2 weeks he becomes the 5th emperor of the sea.My man is speedruning it.

Dragon is a God too I think. In Skypiea they mentioned 4 Gods: God of the sun, God of the Rain, God of the forest and God of the Earth. As we saw in Logue town when Luffy was about to be executed by Buggy, the weather was changing drastically and what was it that saved Luffy? The weather, or the lightning that occured due to the bad weather. Later on we saw Dragon, so he could possibly be one of the 3 remaining Gods considering that he can change the weather. Or it could be that he has a very strong Haki, because as we saw when Shanks and Whitebeard clashed, the sky split in two. If you're caught up in the manga or anime, when Big Mom and Kaido clashed the weather also changed and the sky split. I personally think that Dragon also ate one of the God - Devil fruits like Luffy and became a God.
