Hey guys, i just port out my kawasaki kmx125 after its been re-sleeved from 54mm to 66mm but the new sleeve didnt match the original ports so i just match them the best i could. The result is very strong top range rpm but no power on low to mid rpm. I need power in low to mid. How Can i still fix it to my needs?

Only way would be to mill or cut @0.5mm off your base gasket area to lower the port timing you will need to re adjust the head for volume and piston to head clearance.

You could also get back into your cylinder and get your transfer’s extremely smooth and clean… you definitely don’t want to have ugly transitions between your sleeve and block or your flow is just going to suffer unless your wide open and it’s still suffering and it’s not running at full efficiency but your displacement increase is covering that up… quite possibly you would see an overall improvement in your performance with the additional work on smoothing all those port edges…

That came with the Yamaha Timing kit... it was a genuine part from the mid 80s yz work shop manual.
