I think a lot of it is fear. The "man" is chasing all of us. I think (possibly pure projection on my part) we all live with the fear of economic insecurity. To me, that is the thread that connects. It is a luxury to live without this fear. I have lived with this fear my entire life. I welcome any responses. Peace.

I’m very much a night person. When I was in high school my challenge was to not be too late to miss the bus. One year my Government class was my second hour class. I would usually make it through my first hour class and then crash and sleep through my second hour class. And I still passed the class.

I've had mental health issues my entire life...was in a facility as a young teen and have been in and out of a couple of other psych hospitals as an adult. Years of therapy as well.
I think the #1 issues I've had over the years is 100% my lack of sleep.
Took me till my mid 30's to finally find an amazing med provider that found a med that not only helps knock me out at night, but has few enough negative side effects that I'm willing to stay on it. It's not actually made for sleep at all. I think the med is made for seizures (which I don't have)...what the meds do for me is slow my brain WAY down so it's not racing all night.
I use to hate sleep...I would actively fight it. Now I love it and it's extremely important to me.

But now that I'm looking things up I think I might have things mixed up. I think Lamotrigine is what I use to keep my mood stable, and it's the Seroquel that knocks me out at night. It makes me really drowsy, and it also slows my brain down so my mind isn't racing like crazy while I'm trying to fall asleep.
