    I switched out a DPS to an X2 and the handling change , cushion and overall performance was tremendous. I can certainly say this was one of the best improvements I have ever made on my bikes.

    I've been on a 4yr old but well-maintained dpx2 and RS pike. Freshened the v2 Scout with new Cascade pivot link, the floatx and the new 36. Radically different to say the least. So much so, the first ride out I absolutely wadded it up on an aggressive blue tech trail I'd ridden a hundred times! A bit of sorting, old 'Dialed' episodes and a small 'get acquainted' period and the bike is phenomenal. Grip AND support for miles!! Truly Dialed🤙

      Similar story like mine, I had DPS and fox 34 also in great condition both, then recently I have swiched to Float X and Fox 36, totaly different experience in positive way. 👍

    Hi there, great video, just have a question about the OEM trail RX tune that comes on the specialized evo. How different is that from the aftermarket shock? I've got a 2022 evo with an aftermarket Float X factory, just wondering if it will perform noticeably different than the OEM shock? Thanks again and can't wait for Dialed!

    Hopping from the Float X to the X2 recently I absolutely feel that 2 to 3 or 4 step difference in ride feel. Definitely feels more "bottomless" and makes you feel like you have a bigger safety net out back than what your bike's travel may suggest.

    I have an X2 and a 38 up front. Things feel very bumpy and hard over consecutive bumps, roots, braking bumps, etc. I'm 100kg, fox default settings.
    My plan was to speed up the rebound on the front first but not really sure at what point I start adjusting the rear?

    • @bitumen83
      @bitumen83 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just buy normal 34 then.
      36 is for AM/Enduro, no point of making it for XC/Downcountry
      I had 34 rhythm with 140mm and it is very good fork, recently swiched to 150mm 36 (same bike) it is great fork.

  • @Ganiscol

    I'm curious: what does moving the LSR adjuster to the other end of the X2, away from the piggy, contribute to the functionality?😊

    • @BeniKenesei
      @BeniKenesei ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they wanted to have the same rebound circuit for the Factory and non Factory X2-s, so they only have to make one type and then add the HSR rebound to the main piston at the bottom.

    • @Ganiscol
      @Ganiscol ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BeniKenesei I'm not aware that there have ever been internal differences between Factory and Performance Elite Series for shocks. Certainly isnt the case for forks and seat posts. So, I dont think that is the inherent reason for moving HSR (not LSR like I stated) down there.

    • @BeniKenesei
      @BeniKenesei ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ganiscol Yeah I'm just guessing. This way the Performace Elite shock doesnt scream lower end, because the HSR adjuster is a bit more hidden. Also I think it is better to have the rebound on the main piston at the bottom, in the same time they want to keep both HSR and LSR, it might be quite hard to have 2 adjusters go up in that thin shaft, so they just stuck the LSR at the top.

    Is it true that heavier riders should ride with the bigger shocks? If a 250lb rider on a xc bike should the rider use the Float or Float X instead of a Float SL? Does different shocks have a maximum rider weight?

    • @davidmain8696
      @davidmain8696 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My understanding is that is not the case and heavier riders use tokens which keeps the ride plusher. The stroke (travel) should be the same regardless of your weight because of the PSI.
