      These psychotropic medications can and do often create severe mental and physical side effects that patients suffer. So, they stop taking the meds to avoid these effects. Another reason, or rationale, is people report they like the manic phase, then self medicate during the crash. Based upon KW's previous statements, I think this might be true in his case.

    Hey Kyle I've been riding with you for the past 8-9 years but I gotta clarify something.
    To begin with, I've been fighting rapid cycling bipolar 1 for over 10 years now so I believe that I'm qualified to add a little context.
    We are inspired, and that genius does present itself in mania. It's not imagined. We are thinking faster, connecting concepts etc. during that phase because the imbalance that causes the mania fuels elevated thinking.
    It's important to clarify that because one of the things that we struggle with when the mania ends is believing that it actually occurred. Disbelief and dissociation is part of the illness.
    The correct way to affirm the argument that I believe that you intended to make is that we know that there's genius in the mania but have difficulty understanding the idea that the genius remains when the mania ends as well.
    For context it took me 8 years to find this out, that what I was experiencing was not imagined and was truly happening in real life.
    I just wanted to make sure that your million plus viewers understand the differences as well. The more valid information that we can get out to the public in regards to this the better.
    Appreciate you Big Baby!
    Lewis King

    • @Rumplesti1tskin
      @Rumplesti1tskin ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I'm confused about the connection between being inspired and genius. Are you saying the characteristics of rapid cycling bipolar during these manic episodes makes you more intelligent than those without it because of the ability to think faster and ability to connect concepts more quickly? And what do you mean by the genius remains when the mania ends? I'm just trying to understand some of what you're saying. I've met people diagnosed as bipolar and they have episodes where they will develop ideas and connect ideas and thoughts that in reality don't connect at all. They will have delusions that they hold as real, but the ideas don't actually make sense outside of their mind, and being in their mind, they can't grasp that reality.

    • @civilizedsavage360

      @@Rumplesti1tskin My thoughts exactly. Fast thinking often relies on pattern recognition which is prone to deception.

    • @OriginalWis
      @OriginalWis ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@Rumplesti1tskin what I'm saying is that for some, mania is a time where they are able to create at a higher level than what they would be able to normally. For example, I write some of my best freestyles while in mania. There's objective data that affirms this to be true. My brains on overdrive while I'm manic. That's part of what defines the manic state.
      Now it's true that it doesn't affect everyone the same way. Some people are very disjointed because of the overload. If you tried to talk to me while I'm in a manic state you wouldn't understand me either. Because your thoughts come and go faster than speech. Both things are true at the same time.
      Look at the video. That's exactly what's going on there. That is a real part of Kanye that also fuels his inspiration. It's objective fact.
      So back to my point... He doesn't just think he's inspired. He is inspired. Because his mind is on overdrive. It's real and there are some who can use it to their advantage and some who can't.
      And trying to compare that to the intellectual capabilities of a person who doesn't have bipolar disorder is like comparing apples to oranges. It's so off base that I don't even have a way to analogize the error that you're making in a way that would get you to understand how far apart the concept of the normal intellectual and the manic state is.
      I wish I could though. Because it needs to be put out there in the mainstream. I hate showing my buddies something I've written and having to say no when they want brainstorm and write together because they don't understand, or maybe can't conceptualize the fact that it only happens "sometimes" and when it does they're never around because I have to shut myself in and stay away from the public until the mania ends.
      That's part of what I mean when I say the genius (maybe talent is a better word?) Is still there when I'm not manic. Because I'm still a good writer when I am on the level but there's a motivational energy that's missing during those times. That's why inspired is a good word because when you're inspired to do something you put the energy to that motivation, bipolar or not. And as I was saying earlier, it to me 8+ years to really understand that both versions of me are real and to begin to try to make peace with it.
      Because part of that whole thing is, if the inspiration isn't real then where did the music come from? And if it's imagined did I just miss a week of work because of my imagination? Am I imagining the entirety of this disease? Is my bank account empty and my bills unpaid because I'm a bad person who imagined the manic dive in which I spent money that I didn't have? Because if it isn't real, then what normal person does those things on a recurring basis?
      There's so much that goes into what we go through when we're in that state that we do cling to the fact that we do inspired work during that time because the rest of it is pretty much a worst nightmare scenario.
      Please understand that I don't mean any of this in a negative way at all. And I hope I haven't come off in that way and if I have I sincerely apologize. I just saw an opportunity to get some real information out to a large part of the public that would be beneficial to us if it were common knowledge.

      @@civilizedsavage360 I agree completely. It can be a positive or negative situation, depending what's done with it. The fact that Ye's in a position to cause real harm or be manipulated into causing real harm is very concerning to me. Most people won't realize the state he's in and will take his words as gospel. Others, (Like Tucker Carlson) will use this as an opportunity to push their own agenda through him to his fans, which in my opinion is an evil beyond conscience. That wasn't hebrew Israelite nonsense. That was just nonsense in general. Many black churches that teach Black Liberation theology also have the same fundamental belief system and talking points (e.g. being one of the original tribes). The church I was raised in (before I became atheist) still hangs this type of material up. None of them are frothing at the mouth anti-semites who stand on the street corner yelling at people. Up until maybe 8 years ago you would only see like 3-4 whites in attendance, and they were "family". Now that the old neighborhood has been gentrified and "latinoized", the pastor and his minions have toned down alot of that pro-black and pro-Democrat rhetoric- something that I give him infinite grief about everytime I see him.
      Kayne wasn't raised in it so that's why he's saying a bunch of incoherent things that make no sense. It's really no different than someone suddenly waking one day to become a Muslim and they use the most fundamental rhetoric from different schools of thought, plus mixing in their own mania. If Kayne was educated on Zionist movement, he wouldn't say the ridiculous things he does.

    1939 letter in which Sanger outlined her plan to reach out to black leaders - specifically ministers - to help dispel community suspicions about the family planning clinics she was opening in the South.
    “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members,” she wrote. It was, as the Washington Post called it, an “inartfully written” sentence, but one that, in context, describes the sort of preposterous allegations she feared - not her actual mission. The irony is that it has been used to propagate those very allegations. Cruz’s letter to the director of the National Portrait Gallery, for example, quotes only the first half of the sentence.
    Sanger’s stated mission was to empower women to make their own reproductive choices. She did focus her efforts on minority communities, because that was where, due to poverty and limited access to health care, women were especially vulnerable to the effects of unplanned pregnancy. As she framed it, birth control was the fundamental women’s rights issue. “Enforced motherhood,” she wrote in 1914, “is the most complete denial of a woman’s right to life and liberty.”
    That’s not to say that Sanger didn’t also make some deeply disturbing statements in support of eugenics, the now-discredited movement to improve the overall health and fitness of humankind through selective breeding. She did, and very publicly. In a 1921 article, she wrote that, “the most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective.” But that thinking was popular then

    The antisemitic bit about Jews and finances is something that really should be taught in schools. I don't mean the antisemitic part. I mean, where it came from. In Europe, during the late Dark Age and on thru the middle ages, town and city officials made laws prohibiting Jews from practicing certain trades. In many cities--which copied each other, with hints handed down from the papacy--Jews were relegated to jobs involving tax collecting and borrowing. It became a self-fulfilling antisemitic trope.
