I think folks forget that Dins armor is roughly around 185 lbs as it's just pure metal compared to the lighter durasteel armor. Poor man got swept up in his monolog and just ate it off the edge. This weight and situation were confirmed by the writers in a recent interview when they said "Well it didn't look like the mythosaur could grab Din and not breach the water? I mean did you see how large it was underwater?"
I understand exactly what you saying, I would agree if Bo didn't jump directly in after him. If I'm not mistaken her amor is pure metal too. She also used her jetpack and she still didn't even catch up with him. Doesn't add up for me. I feel something else is playing a roll.
That’s what I thought! I saw a short about this. He either walked off the edge or it crumbled under him. Poor guy. He had a rough day. I still wonder if he can swim though.
I'd totally agree with you guys but it's confirmed that just like Boba Fetts armor, Bo's isn't pure Beskar. They are way more I fused with it than the mandos we see Din living with so they are a bit weighted by that comparison. But it's important to remember how rare it was for Din to capture as much pure Beskar as he did. For those that weren't fully aware of the Mandalorian armor types. There's: Pure Beskar with Mandolorian Embeded Shielding: Mangalore the Great would've had this as did the other Old Republic set mandos. Pure Treated Beskar: What we see Din wearing Heavily Beskar Infused Durasteel armor: Bo-Katan, Boba Fett, and his father have this. As did the original Mandos in CW and the clan leaders in Rebels. Durasteel Armor: What Din wears in Season one outside of the helmet, as do the mandos in his culvert. Durasteel Infused Duraphast Armor: Imperial Super Commando Officers had this. Duraplast Armor: Imperial Super Commandos wore this (the Mandos that worked for the Empire seen in rebels), Storm Troopers wore this. Hopefully this layout helped you guys, it's taken directly from the original lorebooks both for the revised series and the animated shows. 👍
Bo-Katan Kryze wielding the Darksaber again after so long and the live-action debut of the Mythosaur were definitely the highlights of "The Mandalorian" S3E2.
Nothing pulled him down, he just missed a step, and, since he took his jetpack off, he was f**ked. Bo literally saved him twice in one day. He owes her.
That is not just a Mythosaur(the one that Baba rode in the Holiday Special was just that). The one that was underwater is even bigger and if I'm correct that one is the Great Mythosaur(even more rare then a plain one).
Kinda weird people don’t understand how water works. I never thought for a second he got pulled down by anything. With that much metal on, you will sink like a rock in deep water no matter how well you can swim. And it will be easy to find you because you will go straight down.
After rewatching the series, and doing some research before season 3, I wanted to know and understand why the call them “The living waters” now I know.
@AED AED the man is wearing a suit of extremely dense metal my guy.... go grab a big block of tungsten and jump into a pool and watch how fast you sink
Din totally fell or misstepped and lost his footing. I get the bescar weighed him down, but I kinda wonder if he can even swim. As a Mando that seems like a pretty crucial skill.
Star Wars we see your Godzilla and Raise you a Mythosur (which I think has been stuck in that one lair since the purge…. My theory is they’ve fallen into myth because I believe they’re a interstellar Dragon and travel between planets within the Mandalorian system and stay on a planet for millennia before traveling to the next one
It could be the same Mythisaur. We don’t know how long these things live. Sea turtles live for decades +. Maybe Grogu can speak to it like he did in Boba Fett.
This seems more like a journey for Bo Katan to rediscover her heritage, and atone for condescendingly mocking it. In that the children of the watch were right they're way is the correct way in both deed and tradition now having seen a mythosaur maybe her faith will be restored
I was halfway through watching all these when the thought bouncing in the back of my mind finally came together... 🤩🤯The Mythosaur is the same size (and maybe a little bigger) as the Leviathan summon from Final Fantasy 15!!!🤯🤩 It's was mostly due to the eye size and how small the person next to it is, but I just confirmed it!!!!!🎉💥
I find it funny how everyone is like I have a bad feeling about this and all that, as if the Mythosaur was going to be terrifying to them, what many of them didn’t realize is the fact that Bo saw what’s Arguably a freaking religious figure in the flesh when it comes to Mandalorian culture, that wasn’t fear (maybe a little), that was Awe
I think that Din will be able to wield the Darksaber with much more ease now, because now that he's bathed in the Living Waters below the Mines of Mandalore, while reciting the Creed (don't think it'll be an issue that halfway or three quarters into the Creed that he fell/sank to the bottom 😅) a great mental and emotional weight has been lifted from his heart and mind 🤔😌.
It strikes me as odd that everyone seems to think that the mythosaur dragged Din into the water. If it did, why would it have let him sink after? Wouldn't it have eaten him? No, it was obviously the weight of the beskar that sank him. And while we're at it, I have to assume the mythosaur is a vegetarian-it didn't eat either Din or Bo, when it saw them it just turned away, and it wouldn't have much if any meat to eat down there, so it would have probably survived on plant life and plankton. Just my two cents.
We really, really don't need someone trying to react to reactors...we cam tell when you've already seen the vids anyway, make it more annoying. Intro outro good enough, much of us skip those too

"How long would it take to tame it?" Well, I'm sure the learning curve would be greatly accelerated if one happened to have a Jedi to "talk" to it.
I was wondering that too.
Grogu
It also doesn’t really matter because grogu will live for hundreds of years
Grogu is going to become the new mandalore in the long run.
I like how we’re getting a glimpse of something that has literally never been seen before in the franchise.

I got chills when I saw the legendary Mythosaur in this episode . Jon Faverau and Dave Filoni know how to surprise fans !!!

Man catching a glimpse of the mythosuar is like catching a peak of star wars godzilla.
Great way to ALSO have Bo bathe in the Living Waters.
I don't know Star Wars that well, but even I recognized the Mythosaur.
What this means for the rest of Season 3 is beyond me.
I straight up jumped out of my couch in pure joy
Bo's entire worldview just got WRECKED!
This episode was a thrilling experience, but it’s more amazing to watch in this channel every reaction for one specific episode. This is the way.
That thing is gigantic the fact there's one alive is surprising to see.
All the people that “predicted” the mythosour were the ones most shocked😂😂😂😂
I remember freaking out when I first saw that mythosaur. Wow. What an awesome moment.
Nothing pulled him down, he just missed a step, and, since he took his jetpack off, he was f**ked. Bo literally saved him twice in one day. He owes her.
Wookiepedia simply lists the mythosaur as of, "gigantic proportions".
I love how the setup of the Mythosaur was like “Hahaha imagine if there was a mythosaur in here hahaha joke… Unless?…”
Watch Grogu be the one to come riding out on the mythosaur.😀
Just like The Walking Dead was not about the zombies, but about the people who were still alive, Grogu will be the Mandalorian, not Jin!!!

this whole series is just love after love for us star wars fan/Mado, from slave1 to Mythasaurus, this show just keeps giving me all kinds of smiles :)
funny how you can tell those who understand the true implications of Bo seeing a live Mythosaur, and those who just see a giant creature.
They mythocame, they mythosaur and they mythofled
Be brilliant if its Grogu that tames the Mythosaur and he is The Mandalorian.
Well, I guess we can call it the Legitosaur now. 😬

After rewatching the series, and doing some research before season 3, I wanted to know and understand why the call them “The living waters” now I know.
The Mythosaur didn't drag Din down there. There was just a straight drop after those few steps
How did din sink so fast? Weird.
@@aedaed7238 you'd sink fast AF wearing a full suit of armor too. Not only is the weight of the armor sinking add on the weight of Din's body too

@AED AED the man is wearing a suit of extremely dense metal my guy.... go grab a big block of tungsten and jump into a pool and watch how fast you sink
Well, the armor’s not only heavy, but Din lost a considerable amount of blood. Just enough to make him weak enough to not able to swim to the surface.
Cool ending for the episode. Bo really shines here. Excited for what's next and hope to get Moff next episode and Christopher Lloyd As Hondo.
