What good decent people love is the underdog. The little guy triumphing over adversity & impossible odds. Because all of us have experienced it in some shape or form. So cool & so happy for Ahmed. Congratulations Ahmed.🙂👍

Kelleran earned the nickname “The Sabered Hand” by being one of the greatest dual-wielders amongst the Jedi. I love how he goes from rave-dance deflecting dozens of shots simultaneously to just casually slapping that last shot back at the trooper like he was volleying a slow-moving tennis ball. His reaction time is off the goddamn charts. Total badass moment; I love that Best got to play this role.

This particular character was in a Star Wars game show that’s on TH-cam. Ahmed Best also played another Jedi in attack of the clones who is Kelleran’s twin brother
I had seen his face before, but only in photos from articles a few years ago that talked about how the negative feedback from him playing Jar Jar sent him into a deep depression. I vaguely recognised him from his face, but I couldn't place him, and then I found out who he was and what a badass return to the series. I loved the prequels as a child and I loved Jar Jar. Finding out how much hate he got for the role years after the fact was heartbreaking, because that was never my experience with him.
In case my fellow Star Wars fans aren't aware, Ahmed Best is a genuine real life very skilled martial artist. His primary style is Brazilian Ju Jitsu but also is a black belt in Kendo, which is why he looks so natural using the lightsabers in Mando. He also has trained in Tae Kwon DO and Hapkido, Aikido and traditional Judo
That´s so frecking awsome 🙂I love when you can tell when actors already have had some kind of training in MA long before the movie. It was the same thing with Darth Maul (Ray Parks).

This is a moment where people who watches to animated shows and reads the comics can have a massive nerdgasm meanwhile the rest of us just sitting here like “oh cool a Jedi saved him”😂
I didn’t recognize him when I first watched this episode. When I looked it up after, I got the biggest grin on my face. All the hate he got for Jar Jar and he gets the honor of being Grogu’s savior in the most badass way possible. Love this for him!
After all the crap Ahmed Best got, unfairly, from the prequels because of Jar Jar, I'm glad they made an awesome role for him. The role of a kick ass double wielding Jedi Master fits him like a glove and I'm glad he will get the respect he deserves
The Star Wars fandom has some truly wretched people in it, unfortunately. Poor Jake Lloyd went completely hatstand after the vicious backlash he got from his role as Anakin Skywalker, Ahmed Best was so distraught by the vitriol directed at him over Jar Jar Binks he contemplated suicide, and Kelly Marie Tran, Daisy Ridley & Moses Ingram were mercilessly harassed online for their part in the sequel trilogy and the Obi-Wan TV show (Ridley and Tran both quit social media completely).
I can't front... no cap... I got the onions in my eyes watching these reactions. I myself when I saw this seen, leaped out of my chair and put my fist in the air like "YES!!!"
This was such a great moment. The star wars fan base can be pretty awful and toxic, and Ahmed Best, at least prior to the sequel trilogy, was the one who got the worst treatment. It is so great to see the fan base, seemingly, being unified in joy at seeing Ahmed get a great scene playing a character who may have done one of the most vital things any character ever did in any SW series/film. It seems as if the series is headed towards Grogu being Mandalore and potentially a unifying figure for the Mandalorians AND Jedi. Grogu will end up being a top 5 most important character, and now Ahmed got to be the guy who made it all possible through his heroism. Fantastic redemption for the actor, AND the fans.
I wasn't aware of the connection until today, but I'm so glad Ahmed got some redemption for himself with the series as a whole. I know it's easy to blame the actor for a bad character because they're the face of the character, but even the most phenomenal actor in the world can only do so much with a character that sucks. Blame the writers for writing the character so badly, and the director for approving that terrible character making the final cut. If a character sucks, and whenever it's an option(so for basically everything that's not a movie adaptation of pre-existing media), the director should go back to the writers and say "hey, this character's not gonna work, we need you to rewrite or replace them".
I only knew Ahmed Best as Jar Jar, and didn't know about Kelleren Beq. I actually teared up a bit. I'm so happy for him after all the unwarranted flack he took as Jar Jar.
If I ever have the pleasure of meeting this man I'm going to give him the biggest apology hug on behalf of the community for the unfortunate events that happened to him, He deserved better and so did Hayden
You can just tell the difference between real Star Wars fans, who freaked out, and the casuals, who didn't know who he was. But it's amazing Ahmed is getting this moment. This great man has been through so much.
I am a real Star Wars fan but I will admit I didn’t recognize him at first so it didn’t hit me until a bit later I said to myself,”He looks like the guy who played Jar Jar.” I am glad he’s getting the love he always deserved instead of all the hate for a character he played
I had never heard of Kelleran Beq, but I definitely recognized Ahmed Best. I'm so happy that he got this moment to shine. Jar Jar was never a favorite character of mine, but I wasn't Gunganist. In fact, this whole "Star Wars Fans Are Toxic" thing isn't new at all. There's not enough therapy in the world to even touch how traumatized Jake Lloyd was by it. Hayden got the same abuse, but he was a Zen master about it -- I know his feelings were hurt, but I always got the feeling like he just took it, because if he made a big deal about it, it would've been an insult to Jake, who was a CHILD in Episode I. That was AFTER Jingle All The Way. This kid had ice in his veins, and *we* BOILED it. And then twenty years later, we've got Kelly Marie Tran, Felicity Jones, John Boyega, Diego Luna, and Donnie Yen, and Moses Ingraham and everybody's screaming about "woke" but only when it's minorities -- and not when it's dipshit Jimmy-the-Greek-ass farmers who can't hit a lit target standing less than ten feet away from them, like Uncle Owen shooting at Reva with his eyes closed. I'm not going to lie, Disney hasn't exactly been cranking out bangers with the Star Wars franchise, but I'm so tired of the "Where are all the white people at?" bullshit you hear about these days. That kind of toxicity from fans is just... embarrassing.
This is long overdue for Ahmed. The treatment he dealt with from fans from TPM over Jar Jar(who I have never had a real issue with) was despicable and shows that people take fandom too seriously sometimes. I hope Ahmed has more scenes like this in future SW project's
They can’t even be called “fans” if you can push an actor to the brink of killings themselves over a role they were instructed to play then your no fan, you don’t deserve to be called a fan of anything. Personally I never had an issue with jar jar, he was written as a comic relief character and that’s what we got. For the people who treated this man so poorly for a fictional character he played they need to take a long look at themselves and learn to be better humans.
He didn't get redeemed. He didn't need to get redeemed. Redemption is making up for the bad things you've done. AHMED DID NOTHING WRONG. He doesn't owe anyone shit. The people who treated him like shit owe him ALL the apologies.
AHMED BEST! He really didn't deserve the hate he got, especially where it put him mentally. I see some calling this his redemption, but I think it's us the fans that need redemption. Welcome back to Star Wars!
I recognized Ahmed from his role in the movie Lean on Me and his tiny cameo in Episode II. In case you don't know, that cameo character's name is Ach-Med Beq, and his character here, Kelleran Beq, IS related to Ach-Med, but no one knows how. They might be one and the same person. If so, that would mean he was undercover in the gambling parlor where Anakin and Obi-Wan chased Zam Wessell! And the guy he was keeping company with in the gambling parlor was named Dannl Faytoni (played by an out-of-costume Anthony Daniels), and he might've been an undercover Jedi agent as well!
I had never seen Jedi Temple Challenge, so I had no idea who Kelleran Beq was… I don’t think I had ever seen Ahmed Best in person… I recognized his name in the credits, but did not make the connection that he’d played Jar Jar… At first, I thought it was Mace Windu, but when he didn’t have the purple lightsaber, I was like, “Who TF is this?” When my son told me that it was Ahmed Best, who’d played Jar Jar, I was so excited, and was a little emotional…. That poor guy seems so nice, and to know of all the hate that was shown toward him, and how he’d been suicidal because if it, truly broke my heart… I am absolutely thrilled that this man has had his redemption! Awesome for Favreau and Filoni to include him, I’m sure, as a way to get the respect he deserves… From this point on, I would hope that the fandom will now see him as a fucking GOD, because HIS Jedi saved our darling Baby Gro! So, if you think about it, Jar Jar save Baby Gro… From a certain point of view😝😉
Not gonna lie, I’m kinda stunned and slightly disappointed at how many longtime fans didn’t know what Ahmed Best looked like. 🤦🏾♂ 😆 But the good thing is that people are finding out now. Absolutely love this moment for Best, and it was such a delightfully surprising pick. I’m glad they didn’t go with any of the choices fans have been clamoring for. Now I wonder how and when Kelleran Beq’s story will be fleshed out.
I remember watching TPM and I loved the character of Jar Jar. I never had a problem with him. I don’t understand what made certain audiences so angry with Best.
"Stormtroopers actually have really good aim... They never miss those lightsabers." Well, I mean... Except for when they do and accidentally hit the lightsaber wielder...
Everyone's calling it Ahmed's redemption but he doesn't need redemption, he hasn't done anything wrong. He didn't create the character, he didn't write the toilet jokes, he just followed direction.
This is OUR redemption, not his. “Fans” treated him so horribly, I’m glad we are here for him now and am hopeful and thankful for his forgiveness.
Exactly. More like his comeback if anything and our redemption. Great to see Ahmed Best again!!
I like that. It's his comeback, but we, the fanbase, were the ones who needed redemption. He never deserved being treated so terribly. Personally, I didn't like Jar Jar much, but i wouldn't be going after the actor wishing harm on him or anything.

@@passionsquietrage Agreed. Abusing or threatening people simply for reading lines from a page is completely unacceptable.
I can't front... no cap... I got the onions in my eyes watching these reactions. I myself when I saw this seen, leaped out of my chair and put my fist in the air like "YES!!!"
It's him!
It's Jar Jar Binks!
8:00 the bloke just luckily wearing a jar-jar blinks t-shirt lol
This was the only thing to get a reaction out of me in season 3.
All great reactions a joy to watch other fans.
Gotta hand it to Kyle katarn his star wars knowledge is vast and impressive...most impressive😂👍
So it turns out Jar Jar was not in fact a Sith Lord, but actually a Jedi Master!
I'm so happy for him after all the unwarranted flack he took as Jar Jar.
that is the person from the tv game show aimed toward ages 4-9 ?
or have he been in comics or movies too?
Loved that this was so unexpected
the one with reel rejects, the 3rd guy realizes it after they land by the naboo starship
If I ever have the pleasure of meeting this man I'm going to give him the biggest apology hug on behalf of the community for the unfortunate events that happened to him, He deserved better and so did Hayden
Well after what happened in Revenge of the Sith, Mace Windu wasn't in a position to lend a hand.
great reaction clip, glad to see people give Ahmed Best his Flowers finally
So glad to see this! Great action sequences. Yeh!
I’m here for all the redemptions. Ahmed Best is the man.
Is that what really defines “real” Star Wars fans???
@@rayguym33 You know what I'm trying to say, don't get smart.
Nerd
@@user-yo2tr8lu6y Yes, yes I am. It's 2023 mate, everyone's a nerd.
I didn't realize who it was until the credits rolled, but I was so happy.
Soo happy when star wars fans do recognized Ahmed Best.
much respect to the ones who knew who he was
This is long overdue for Ahmed.
I watched that a dozen times, and I didn’t notice that Kelleran picked up that lightsabre from off the elevator floor until you mentioned it! 🤦🏻♂
AHMED BEST! He really didn't deserve the hate he got, especially where it put him mentally. I see some calling this his redemption, but I think it's us the fans that need redemption. Welcome back to Star Wars!
As usual, you have done an excellent job putting together these clips! Great job! Continue doing these and I will watch!
Jedi Master Kelleran "Saber Hands" Beq.
I love the meta theory that he was sent to get the kiddo Jedi by JarJar.
I am very happy :)
I had never seen Jedi Temple Challenge, so I had no idea who Kelleran Beq was…
I don’t think I had ever seen Ahmed Best in person… I recognized his name in the credits, but did not make the connection that he’d played Jar Jar…
At first, I thought it was Mace Windu, but when he didn’t have the purple lightsaber, I was like, “Who TF is this?”
When my son told me that it was Ahmed Best, who’d played Jar Jar, I was so excited, and was a little emotional….
That poor guy seems so nice, and to know of all the hate that was shown toward him, and how he’d been suicidal because if it, truly broke my heart…
I am absolutely thrilled that this man has had his redemption! Awesome for Favreau and Filoni to include him, I’m sure, as a way to get the respect he deserves…
From this point on, I would hope that the fandom will now see him as a fucking GOD, because HIS Jedi saved our darling Baby Gro!
So, if you think about it, Jar Jar save Baby Gro…
From a certain point of view😝😉
Not gonna lie, I’m kinda stunned and slightly disappointed at how many longtime fans didn’t know what Ahmed Best looked like. 🤦🏾♂ 😆 But the good thing is that people are finding out now. Absolutely love this moment for Best, and it was such a delightfully surprising pick. I’m glad they didn’t go with any of the choices fans have been clamoring for. Now I wonder how and when Kelleran Beq’s story will be fleshed out.
hands down best scene ever!
Was waiting for this!!!
Thank you for helping out my little channel. It means a lot to give me credit. Thank you.
incredible the mobility of the saber he has
I remember watching TPM and I loved the character of Jar Jar. I never had a problem with him. I don’t understand what made certain audiences so angry with Best.
So his saber was supposed to be purple but they didn’t want to take away from it being Ahmed by linking him to Mace.
It's funny watching all the proper lore fans really happy about bests return
CINEPALS were confounded when Ahmed Best showed😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Stormtroopers actually have really good aim... They never miss those lightsabers." Well, I mean... Except for when they do and accidentally hit the lightsaber wielder...
Everyone's calling it Ahmed's redemption but he doesn't need redemption, he hasn't done anything wrong. He didn't create the character, he didn't write the toilet jokes, he just followed direction.
Not the Jedi we were expecting, maybe not even the one we really wanted, but definitely right Jedi for the moment
I actually liked jar jar and don’t see why everyone hated him
This is the content I need.
8:53 bro I know you did not call the brothers stormtroopers
9:00 thats bc theyre clone troopers not stormtroopers... ;)
This is gonna sound nerdy but….. He said stormtroopers😭8:53
Ikr
Never heard of Kelleran Beq but I remember the kids tv show being on so when I did some googling after the episode, I was like, "OH DANG!!!"
It's just funny how people say this is HIS redemption
Funny in these reactions. You can spot the OG star wars fans. Who saw ahmed and knew who he was.
I still think it should have been Cere and Trilla, BUT if anyone deserved a moment like this, it's Best.
Plus, Kelleran Beq is nice with the dual sabers!
