Was a NOTORIOUS issue for them around 30-40k. There's conversations about it being so prevalent that people had to wait a month or two for them on backorder.
Good video ! I would only add though, try not to twist the O2 sensor. I have had the wires break inside and cause it to fail afterwards. Not every time but it has happened.
2.4L engine should have a 50amp fuse in the F07 slot. Nonetheless thank you for the great instructions! I'm gonna be tackling this myself since they did the recall but did not replace the fan with the new version
Most overheating issues are caused by failing thermostat, failing fan, water pump, etc. start by checking those things out first. As well as the radiator cap.
Just did my 2021 exactly the same except for they added a sort of air tube connected to frame. I guess it brings in air to engine compartment as well but it makes it harder to shimmy out and in but was still able to.
My fans won’t come on unless I’m running the ac. I’ve checked relays, coolant, temp sensor is working bc temp goes up, I replaced thermostat. Heats working. can’t figure out what the issue is
Thank you so much. Had to do this to my jeep. Followed your video and it went smoothly!
Another great teaching video, with great filming from you. Thank you!

You'd they'd recall on all of them. Nope. Stuck with the bill.
Educational thank you. Do more on. the Jeep Renegade 2016

Super helpful video!
UR A LIFESAVER I FOLLOWED EVERYTHING N IT WORKED!
In this situation, how would I know it's not a thermostat issue? Or perhaps an issue with coolant flow?

In this particular case - the fan wasn't kicking on, causing overheating.

There was a recall on that fan. Get is replaced for free,
Only if your VIN is listed. I had same issue, told them there was a recall. They said sorry no dice, your VIN is not listed.
🤗👍👏👏👏
