Thank you for sharing, I have let myself get to the point I would not be able to take the hike with the ropes and I would not have gotten to see the view. I actually liked the cloud cover over everything. My first viewing of your travels, loved it.
Oh man, I was just at Olympic. So much to do there it's crazy. Now I have another waterfall I need to check out (at a later time). And one day we will have to meet up!
Lake crescent :) lovely lake. all you have to climb the mount Stormking. from the summit the view of the lake is priceless. Just be careful and use helmet.
One of my favourite tours of your trips. Being above the clouds was so beautiful. You are an excellent guide and have such a relaxing style. Thank you.
Wow. What a surreal time above the clouds like that! And you're right .. those petroglyphs are so very unique. A lot of expression and different style than ones seen in Utah. Love them!
Wow! Scenically, this was on of your most beautiful videos. Those clouds in the undercast were breathtaking. The PNW is breathtaking. Thanks so, so much for sharing this!
There is a fantastic trail to hike behind Lake Crescent. The trail is called The Old Spruce Railroad Trail or Devil's Punch Bowl. I have hiked up Mount Storm King and it's scary climbing up the rope but on a clear day it's well worth the view and Marrymere Falls down below is alright. In the town of Sequim near Port Angeles hiking Dungeness Spit. A ten mile hike out to the lighthouse and back. I have hiked the Lake Ozette Triangle Trail at Lake Ozette out to Sand Point and Cape Alva. Beautiful coast.
You were hiking in my backyard! I live 6.5 miles from Olympic Park visitors center. I don't hike in the park much because I bring my dogs. I usually hike in the Buckhorn Wilderness just to the East of the park. Awesome hikes.
Thank you once again, Tristan, for sharing such awesome scenery with us. Gorgeous! Never been to that part of the country so am grateful for the glimpses you show us. Travel safely.
We will be in Olympic N.P. next week, don't think we will hike to the top of that mountain, but we do plan on hiking to Marymere Falls. Really looking forward to seeing this park.
Love watching these PNW videos because I'm filling up my future calendar. I'm newly located here, so very helpful to see what I should do and what I should skip 😄
The rain forest is quite unlike other landscapes in almost every way, but it does behave like any very wet area that gets sun in a cool season -- water passes into the air at (the warming) ground level and through transpiration in the biomass, and rises to the elevation where it mixes with cooler air -- where fog is formed in the valleys and higher.
incredible. I try to emulate your trips here in North Carolina. In Nantahalla river we found dozens of trout holes and caught and released 20 good fish. a few brookies and rainbows....Using simple fly rod with a few Japanese flies. driving the pros with their thousand dollar rigs nuts...
That was a wonderful hike I was surprised at how much of a ridge walk it was to the summit, and as you said the surrounding area looks very “Lord of the Rings” not surprising that the mountain was called Storm King then.
Really striking petroglyphs, especially if you have seen a bunch of them in the southwest, its cool to see something so different. For me they called to mind totem pole art
Had to laugh at your comments regarding beach smells. I grew up in Seattle but now live in Western Colorado and I miss those smells! I’ve been going to Ozette since 1973 backpacking to Cape Alava and Sandpoint. I was just there in early June and stayed at the National Park Lake Ozette campground and hiked out to the beach. The petroglyphs near Cape Alava are awesome. Did you see the sailing ship petroglyph? Enjoyed and thanks for sharing.
The fam and I are heading to Cascades this fall! This is perfect to get expert advice and your unique hidey spots/fun stuff to see. So excited for your next video!!
As you hiked to the waterfalls, you mentioned that the area felt "otherworldly" and "magical"...that's because you were in the land of Twilight. Port Angeles, the Olympic National Park, the Quileute nation at La Push, and the town of Forks are the main locales of the Twilight saga. 💜 I'm surprised you didn't run into a vampire or a shapeshifter/werewolf!
Thank you for another beautiful video! I'm in New England and you cracked me up saying "it smells like the sea, but not in a good way". That's called LOW TIDE here! Yup! Familiar with that smell! 😊
The glyphs were great. No need to interpret them as with many "stick" type seen elsewhere. More art involved it appeared to me with proportions and and smoothness. Impressive! Thanks again.
So beautiful! The Orca glyphs are definitely wonderful, and unique (to me). But, I really enjoyed the hike above the clouds. Not seeing the lake tricks one into not knowing exactly how high (you) really are, which I think is pretty cool.
A really neat video, Tristan. Your comments about "undercast" was right on; I recall a similar view along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Undercast could also refer to a fly fishing mishap! The glyphs were certainly different from those in the southwest. Happy July 4th...
I'm so glad you did part of lake Ozette trail. I used to do that trail at least once a yea. Next time your out this way You could look into do Klahhane Ridge Trail. It's on the way to Hurricane ridge. .
Loved the videos up in my neck of the woods. You will have to come back, again. Next time drive up to Hurricane Ridge, then drive out Obstruction Point Road and hike up to Elk Mountain. The views there blow away anything on Storm King.
Very cool I suggested this hike on another of your videos, the hoh I think, anyways didn't realize you had already done it. I knew what you were going out there for, you love them Petros. Lol Happy days to ya
The trail he hiked out from Lake Ozette was the Cape Alava trail which takes you to that rocky beach which is Cape Alava the westernmost point in the contiguous us. To the north west of this area is Cape Flattery the most northwesterly point in the us….access to it is on the Makah Indian Reservation. A lovely hike out to Cape Flattery is a little over a mile and the views out there are gorgeous…..a lovely view of Tatoosh Island and Lighthouse from Cape Flattery is another reward of making the effort to go out there ! I LOVE THE OLYMPIC PENNINSULA!
Beautiful country in Washington State ❤ 'End of maintained trail'. So this is where you can start getting lost lol! Just kidding! If you camp there be watchful for sasquatch. I'm not kidding. They're nocturnal.
OMG we were just there. Traveling up and down the coast. The lake is gorgeous. Perfect weather as well.
How do you keep your audio so consistent? Every scene has excellent quality voice and it’s very engaging.
Thanks! When editing, I manually change (either lower or raise) each video clip's audio to be at about the same level.
Thanks for the info! I’m a newbie here in YT and my problem is my voice when recording 🙂
Thank you for sharing, I have let myself get to the point I would not be able to take the hike with the ropes and I would not have gotten to see the view. I actually liked the cloud cover over everything. My first viewing of your travels, loved it.
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for watching!

Right on time as usual. Thank you, Tristan! My husband and I eagerly await your new videos.💕
Thanks Stormy! 👍
What I wouldn't give to be young again just long enough to climb that mountain. Absolutely gorgeous photography. thank you for sharing this
Wow. What a surreal time above the clouds like that! And you're right .. those petroglyphs are so very unique. A lot of expression and different style than ones seen in Utah. Love them!
Thanks for watching!
Your videos are priceless. I love how calmly you walk these mountains - every step is inspiring.
Beautiful area! The petroglyphs were amazing! Also loved the waterfall. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Lake Crescent is one of my most favorite places - just beautiful!
Loved that mount above the clouds, that beautiful lake and those gulfs along the coast with the whales-wonderful!
Smells like low tide.
You are part Mnt Goat.
Hope the heat wave wasn’t an issue for you man. Stay hydrated. Also, love the views from above. Literally on top of the clouds. So amazing.
This was filmed back in April. Weather was great!
@@SUVRVing well, hope you're doing ok currently.
What a beautiful hike! Thanks for taking us with you.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome above the clouds in the sun.

Glad you enjoyed our back yard.
My favorite part was that magical waterfall trail. Thanks for your your videos. They are my weekend treats and fuel for future travel plans.
The walk in the clouds was awesome.
Wow! Scenically, this was on of your most beautiful videos. Those clouds in the undercast were breathtaking. The PNW is breathtaking. Thanks so, so much for sharing this!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Tristan. And thank you for the coordinates. I love google earthing them after your video.
Thank you so much for sharing these amazing places. The view from above was spectacular. All good.
Thanks Donna!
That was so cool seeing those petroglyphs. I can't wait to get to explore this beautiful park! Thanks for sharing these adventures- so inspiring!

Loved your video. We lived there for over 30 years and this video brought back a lot of great memories.
Wow, thank you.

Very magical and beautiful.
Amazing! Thank you.
Thanks MaryAnne!
Famous last words - "as long as it's here I might as well use it"
Worked out well for me in the end!
Tristan: "a magical realm, otherworldly" ... nailed it! 😊
Thanks Robin!
Thank you so very much for sharing 👍😊
Thank you once again, Tristan, for sharing such awesome scenery with us. Gorgeous! Never been to that part of the country so am grateful for the glimpses you show us. Travel safely.
Loved the Orkas Rock Art Tristan❤️😀🇺🇸🌏
What a beautiful video. Thank you.
We will be in Olympic N.P. next week, don't think we will hike to the top of that mountain, but we do plan on hiking to Marymere Falls. Really looking forward to seeing this park.
I love it .thanks again for sharing.i want to visit and do the hike and camp.wow!!
Stay safe!
My favorite part was the shot of you looking out at the clouds covering Crescent Lake.
Thank you for uploading! I was too scared to hike this trail when I was solo in April
It's a fun hike! Definitely worth doing 😁
Love watching these PNW videos because I'm filling up my future calendar. I'm newly located here, so very helpful to see what I should do and what I should skip 😄
Another great video! Loved the petroglyphs. Another place I want to go, thanks to you!

Yep! Thanks for watching, Robert.

driving the pros with their thousand dollar rigs nuts...
My favorite part was your hike to the top of Storm King trail…..because I most likely will never do it, so this way I got to see it….thanks, Tristan
Love the orca rock images!
Me too! So unique. Thanks Steve.
Trail marker looked a bit sketchy so I'm glad you found your way...brave man that you are!
Rock art was my fav
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Really fun petroglyphs.
That was a wonderful hike I was surprised at how much of a ridge walk it was to the summit, and as you said the surrounding area looks very
“Lord of the Rings” not surprising that the mountain was called Storm King then.
Another great discovery, thanks
Favorite part was the whale petroglyphs. Beautiful scenery.
So beautiful… so peaceful with all the clouds. Merci!
Really striking petroglyphs, especially if you have seen a bunch of them in the southwest, its cool to see something so different. For me they called to mind totem pole art
Exactly, they seemed to be the same kind of artistic style. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the share! I'm fascinated by petroglyphs, hieroglyphs and any type of carvings
Surreal views 🤯! Thank you for sharing your adventures, they've been a joy watching them this past year. 💜
Love, love love the PNW, so beautiful! I had no clue the glyphs were there.
Awesome video as always!... Thanks!

Hi Tristan. Im really enjoying your videos. Can you make a video about good camping gear especially a good overall sleeping bag.
Really enjoyed seeing and learning about the orcas. Thank you...
Thanks Charlie!

You took "The Lord of the Rings" right out of my mouth...I was expecting the Elves to show up! Thanks Tristan 🌲👍🌲
It definitely had that look! Thanks Daniel.
Those whales rock!

Loved the Orcas!!! Fabulous footage of the hike above the clouds.. a very wonderful video all the way around….pizza looked good too…😉
thank you, for these awesome videos.
Thanks for watching, Jeff!
So beautiful! The Orca glyphs are definitely wonderful, and unique (to me). But, I really enjoyed the hike above the clouds. Not seeing the lake tricks one into not knowing exactly how high (you) really are, which I think is pretty cool.
My hiking partner used to say our hikes were not complete until I said my famous line " I CAN'T BELIEVE I LIVE HERE".
It's a beautiful place, for sure!
Always great content and outstanding presentation!
Awesome video once again!! Beautiful views! Thank you!!
Thanks Annette!
Was that fog or actual rain-like clouds? It's beautiful up there. Thanks for sharing, Tristan. 🙂
I'v been researching and planning a trip to Olympic... so the past few videos have been helpful and fun!
Happy to help, Joe!
A really neat video, Tristan. Your comments about "undercast" was right on; I recall a similar view along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Undercast could also refer to a fly fishing mishap! The glyphs were certainly different from those in the southwest. Happy July 4th...
Do you remember what time you got to the summit? Mabye you could have waited till later in the day like 5-8pm and maybe the clouds will burn up
Lucky you✌️
WOW. Beautiful area,, thank you.
Thanks Dixie.
Yay!
Thanks for watching!
I'm 24 seconds in and had to comment: Lake Crescent is so amazing. Glad you enjoyed it.
Sure is! Thanks Meria.
Beautiful 😍
Loved the whale petroglyphs 🐋
Me too! Thanks Helen.
I'm so glad you did part of lake Ozette trail. I used to do that trail at least once a yea. Next time your out this way You could look into do Klahhane Ridge Trail. It's on the way to Hurricane ridge. .
Looks like a beautiful trail. I'll add it to my list. Thanks Suzette!
My favorite part is always the petroglyphs!
Love your videos
Wow incredible places!!
They really were! Thanks for watching.
Loved the videos up in my neck of the woods. You will have to come back, again. Next time drive up to Hurricane Ridge, then drive out Obstruction Point Road and hike up to Elk Mountain. The views there blow away anything on Storm King.
I visited in April, and Hurricane Ridge wasn't open during the week on that visit, unfortunately. Thanks David!
Great video!
Tristan...how was the down climb off the mountain on the steep rope sections. Did you walk backwards any?
It was pretty mellow. I think I probably walked backwards a bit, yes. Thanks for watching!
Very cool I suggested this hike on another of your videos, the hoh I think, anyways didn't realize you had already done it. I knew what you were going out there for, you love them Petros. Lol Happy days to ya
Lol thanks for watching!
Isn't the cloud below you called an inversion?
The trail he hiked out from Lake Ozette was the Cape Alava trail which takes you to that rocky beach which is Cape Alava the westernmost point in the contiguous us. To the north west of this area is Cape Flattery the most northwesterly point in the us….access to it is on the Makah Indian Reservation. I LOVE THE OLYMPIC PENNINSULA!
I only wish I knew you were here In April, I knew when I saw lake Crescent and you were going for a hike it could only be Storm King.
As is always the case on these trips, I was on a tight schedule. I wish I could have spent more time in the area.
Love those killer whale petroglyphs! 😍
Super cool, right? I loved them too!
Cloud inversion is another term.
I think that's probably the better term! Thanks TJ.
Beautiful country in Washington State ❤
'End of maintained trail'. So this is where you can start getting lost lol! Just kidding!
If you camp there be watchful for sasquatch. I'm not kidding. They're nocturnal.
👍👍
It can be difficult to work out the logistics of meeting up with someone when your on the road.
