This is my favorite version of this song and one of my favorite songs period.It's the first song on a CD Guitar Fingerstyle Vol.1. it's the driving to the lake on a Friday evening in the summer music. Gregg Allman's passing had me searching for this to share today.
I started lessons with Tim last spring and simply love his style, poise and grace as a hugely talented musician and person. He is presently teaching me this tune and if the Good Lord gives me another 20 or so years, maybe I'll be able to play this half as well as Tim :-)
What a true wizard on the guitar! I had the opportunity to listen to him playing at the La Connor guitar festival. He is dominating my playlist of New Age Music.
Very nice video of a great version. First heard Tim on the Guitar Fingrestyles CD and emailed Tim and took a web lesson on this song. Learned to play it very well thanks to the tabs Tim sent. Tim you are a great guitarist and I enjoy playing this song and enjoy your other music. Wish you would come down to Texas and play. One of these days I may get up to your neck of the woods and come see you. Tim Too.

One of my favorite fingerstyle songs of all time. I did this one at a guitar recital probably 19 or 20 years ago. Great stuff!

I have your version on CD... I've always liked it, closer to Duane's original than is Leo's version... it's all good, but this is better! :)
