great video overall, i will say 144hz is not "standard" per say. mostly because so many systems vary and a few other admittingly small variables. but perfect unboxing, im here because im waiting to receive my msi c5 so might as well watch unboxing videos lol oh and last critical note im editing in here, your audio is a little soft had to turn it up a smidge to hear you.

@@wolfyxxz7381 yes, it has hdmi input, and audio jack output, that you can use that to connect your home theather to the monitor or your sound bar
@WydIndio Yes i play apex legends in it, it can get up to 165hz with display port cable, or 144hz with the HDMI cable that comes in the monitor box.
But you have to enable the higher refresh rate in the windows display settings, or in your console display settings if you are in a game console.

I don't think so, not for the monitor setting that It comes with. I'm pretty sure you can download another brand software and from there you can probably change the size and everything.

its kind of blurry when i do type settings or photo editing...maybe bcz its 1080p...is there a way to fix it?
I’m on ps4 and I’m on fps so when I go on games there’s certain colors that aren’t the same as when I go to racing etc
You might have to mess with the gamma or the different color settings to get it perfect.

2-ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VH1B
3-MSI G27C5
So #1 is only 144hz display. Number #2 & #3 are both 165Hz so I would say one of those two. However option #2 uses a D-Sub connection which is what you’re going to have to use in order to get that 165Hz. On option #3 you just have to use a DP connection to get the 165Hz. In my opinion I think #3 is better. Hope this helps

So there’s no build in speakers on the monitor unfortunately. I just bought like a nice little speaker and connected it to my pc which like $20-$30 and sounded good👌
Can I plug in headphones to hear the audio and talk or do I have to buy speakers to hear the audio?
Sorry for the late reply! But yea you can either use headphones to listen and talk or use a external speaker connected to your computer

I haven’t noticed anything like that. Maybe the monitor could be damaged. I would definitely keep checking it and if you can I would return it and get a new one to be safe👍

i have almost the same monitor just mine is a 32". but i was wondering is there a way to get more reticles? i would love just a small red dot. the stock ones are missive and cover a lot
I don’t think so, not for the monitor setting itself but I’m pretty sure there’s downloads software you can download and customize them to your preference
how do you like the 32" is it curved also? I was considering getting one from amazon for my xbox series x but i want the 32" not the 27"
@@LouStreets if you have the extra money I would say go for the 32”. But I don’t think it’s that much of a difference. The 27” is perfect enough for me just depends.
Would this monitor work for the ps5 to run 120fps? I know some monitors that are at least 144hz and they won’t run 120fps on the ps5
The FPS has nothing to do with the monitor. The FPS all depends on the gaming setup such as your graphic card and cpu. The ps5 claims to run 120fps on some games but I have yet to check if that’s true. The only thing that matters on a monitor is the refresh rate which this monitor runs either at 144hz or 165hz with a dp connector.

Unfortunately no it doesn’t. You would have to buy a external speaker which are like about $20-$40 depending of how good quality you want.

The monitor itself is just for output. You would connect you mouse, keyboard or headphones to your computer and connect the computer to the monitor

DONNY D LION The only differences between then that I could tell is just how they work. It all depends your preference. Some monitors have more pixels or a better refresh rate. Some are bigger with some led lights on them. You have to just look at the specs and decide what works for you👍

It might be your hdmi connection or dp connection check that first. If it still continues I would have to say you might gotten a bad monitor

So to get 165 hz on my pc I have to have a dp and download the kit or I only need the DP
Yea, HDMI is only 144hz and DP connection gets you the 165hz, you need to download the software that’s free from msi, and from there you could also access more settings within the monitor.
hey so after i did this it worked perfectly fine for me but after i closed out of everything there's a little box in the top left of my screen showing my refresh rate. do you know how to fix that?

Hmm that’s really weird they should be the exact same. I know they don’t have a height adjustment just the tilting. I would say to uninstall them from the bracket and reinstall them just to make sure

I would say to make sure you have it in the right input on the monitor. If nothing still comes up check your laptop settings to make sure you can mirror it to the monitor. If that stills doesn’t work I would say check the hdmi cable last
this displaykit seems much more limited that gaming OSD app
Hey do u know how to change the refresh rate for the monitor. I bought it for the ps5 so I have no pc
The monitor should recognize the PS4 and set it to the right refresh rate automatically. I believe the max refresh rate that PS4 can support is either 60hz or 144hz so it should do it automatically.
Is it good for movies and netflix too ?
Martin_Metry I use it here and there for watching TH-cam and movies. It looks really good. It’s resolution is 1920x1080 so it will look nice and clear👌

It will do good with the ps4 and if you don’t care about getting 4K when the PS5 comes out then yea it will be great since it will be running at 1920x1080 so your FPS will be really high 👌

So I have the link in the bio, once you click that it takes you right to where to download it. Click “utility” and then click what window bits you have. After that it should show you to download the software.

So the hdmi cable doesn’t support up to 165hz. You need to get a dp connection and then you’ll be able to get the 165hz

The monitor itself doesn’t have Bluetooth. The sounds comes from the computer itself. So if your computer has Bluetooth then yea it would work no issue👍

Bro I just bought this from Walmart for Black Friday. Currently, im on a 75 hz monitor ive had for 5 years. So many of my friends have been telling me to get a 144hz+ monitor.

I went to my advanced display settings and it says it caps at 144hz it only came with a hdmi cable...confused because it said it goes up to 165hz I’m not tech savvy
So most likely it’s because you’re using the hdmi cable. Unfortunately they don’t include a Display cable. Idk why they wouldn’t. If you wanted to get the 165hz you would need to use a display cable 1.2 After that you would go into display adapter properties in your display setting and set it to 165hz

@@willster7272 so if you’re using a HDMI cable it will only be able to get 144hz you have to use a display cable, once then you can go into the settings and switch it to 165hz

No it doesn’t. It only has 1 height but you are able to tilt it down or up.

I got the Optix G27CQ4 i wanted a 1440p monitor for gaming. Got mine on sale, it did come with dp cable.
Tho, i got wrong screen at first, 1080p model. Moment i got desktop image i was like wtf, this looks terrible.. Then i noticed when i looked at the box, i got the regular HD monitor and not WQHD. . It did not come with DpCable. So when i returned the 1080p screen back to get what i did pay for i bough a "overpriced e-sport" cable just to be sure. But, it seems its included if screen is 1440p and not 1080p. Only difference is resolution, i cant do 1080 anymore after getting used to 4k. So, i bough that dp cable to be sure as i could things would work as i wanted. Also, if you got the hardware, or plan to get it. Get a wqhd or 1440p screen. Its not as sharp as 4k, but its a fine balance for a 27 inch, heck. I would love a ultra wide wqhd screen. Guessing screen in this video is 1080p or regular HD, so no Dp cable? Anyways, congratz for reading this, and have a nice life. And, a small tips as a bonus. Do not play games in native 4k on a big screen, its after that you can even notice 1440p on a 27inch isnt as sharp. It wasnt before that i now see 1080p is shit, if screen isnt very small.. xD

It might I’m not 100% sure sorry. I know with a PC you would need to have a display port connection, I’m not sure if the PS4 has one. If it does then you’ll be good to get the 165hz👌

Do you have a external speaker ? It doesn’t come with speakers so you need to have a side speaker or something. Are you using a pc with it?

If the ps5 supports 120hz or even 144hz it should support it. It will automatically adjust to what it’s connected to if it’s not a pc where you can mess with the settings

Actually, the default refresh ratio that it comes with, out the box is at 120hz. You have to go into the setting and set it to your desire refresh rate.

You dont need to download it, it will work fine on the original settings that it comes with out the box.

FPS depends on your gaming setup. With monitors it’s the refresh rate so this one goes up to 165hz with a dp connector and up to 144hz with a regular hdmi
Its a terrible monitor. I'm returning mine tomorrow. Colours are so bland and the picture just looks terrible. Not very sharp.

Looks like it but, could potentially be because of using and hdmi cable I'm gonna have to go get one to see, because honestly it looks really shitty with the severe ghosting and color distortion

You dont have to download it, it has the red joystick on the back of the monitor to edit settings but the software makes it easier if you're using a pc
