The MSI Optix G27C5 27" 1080p monitor is a budget friendly, but workhorse monitor. With 165 Hz refresh rate, it's about as good as you can get for gaming. The colors are good with deep blacks, decent brightness, and OK viewing angles with a hot garbage stand. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

Thanks was just about to ask that. Btw I just got a new gaming Pc with an rtx 3070, would a 1.4 display port cable work ? Or just stick with a 1.2 display port? I have this same monitor. Btw I downloaded msi software called the msi display kit that has the program option to run it at 165hz. Right now I have it on just the hdmi cable. Just wondering if a 1.4 display cable would work

I first purchased a MSI Curved monitor in 2018. I had to go through the RMA process 2 times by late 2020, and now my 3rd monitor failed 6/10/22.
I have a monitor that has been issued to me in a warranty repair. This is my third monitor I have had to get back because of issues with the displays.
I have the issue of lines going across the screen on both the HDMI to my xbox and Display port to my PC.
The pc picture shows the white screen and the top half is darker because of little lines across the screen.
The xbox you can see the lines are thicker and take up more of the screen. You can see the lines on the top half.
This is very frustrating to have paid $460 on a monitor and to have the issues continously happening. I even had to pay the shipping to have my monitor replaced.
I am to the point where I want a refund for the monitor as I don't want to deal with display issues every year or two.
When talking to customer service they won't do anything to help me and just say my monitor is out of warranty from my original purchase.
Overall I received 3 monitors for my $460 and they have all been defective in less than 1.5 years. The first one was defective on delivery I only noticed when I had it in the basement and when it was cold there would be lines across the display and it would disappear 20 mins after warming up.
Very disappointed never going to be an MSI customer again.

Quick question if you can help me clarify. Got mine from costco and it says that it's freesync compatible. From your vid, it seems to work with Nvidia GSync as well via adaptive sync?

Hello, may I just ask if you experience any ghosting or blur when fast paced moving such as scrolling through text, fast paced games, etc. Really found the review helpful btw!
Same mine like iutlines small details in black and it annoys me and my colors are off in cutscenes characters skins are blue red and green instead of the color its supposed to be
I found turning response time from “fastest” to “fast” solved the ghosting/tearing dragging effects while gaming on PS4 pro

Remove the display port cable. This is the only solution I have with my g24c

Just a side note for anyone if they have this question in the future. Display port does not transfer Audio like HDMI does, so to this question. No I would not switch to you Display port.

It’s absolutely amazing on the ps5 if you want 4k 120fps this is not for you but if your a serious gamer and want 1080 120fps this is perfect

Just got mine yesterday, I think it seems a little pixilated when u look closely . Haven't played any game notice it while doing settings on display kit is it normal ?
That is part of it being 27" and only 1080p. You're really buying this to be a good FPS display, not a high-resolution display, if that makes sense.

How do I do dual monitor setup with 2 of these? Ive tried almost everything and nothing works
i have a Flat Screen, a 1800R and a 1500R monitor, the curve is barely noticeable til u really look at it, especially the 1800R, its practically a flat screen. My main is 1500R and for some reason i dont want to go back to flat, wouldnt be surprised if they made a wallet screen where u can adjust the curve
I was stuck between the flat version of this vs the curved, in the end went with the curved. The flat model was a IPS panel but was 144hz whereas the curved was VA panel but 165hz, heard the VA panels are really good though.
I have a corner set up so curved fits better into the corner when I've had them before, my last monitor was a flat BenQ but I've had a 1800R acer before and I'm glad to be going back to curved!

Yes it’s great my old monitor king of broke lol but this one is great I video edit
For a gaming team I recommend it
It's OK with colors, OK with contrast. You can edit, but if you're doing more color accurate work, I would recommend an IPS display.

Turn ur resolution down to 1080p and if ur on Xbox go to video fidelity and overscan and hit the manual setting this will let you manually change the settings to what you want 1080p, 120hz

I got that monitor for my slow but sure PC build. Haven't opened the box yet, as I want to wait til my PC is ready for use. I got a nzxt custom computer and it can run most games at over 200 FPS would this be good if I buy 2 and have a dual monitor setup

Interesting, I don't seem to have ghosting issues really. It might have something to do with the night vision settings. Are you on normal?

@@NStewWX it’s because many monitors aren’t working on the ps5 on 120fps with the freesync on and some monitors don’t give you the option to turn it off so that’s why. Are you sure it’s able to turn off

@@cena41986 It won't show up as 120 hz in the playstation display settings. But if you play a game with 120fps compatibility then all you have to do is turn the setting on in game.

Ok. I bought this montior because the reviews were good and the specs seemed good too. I believe it's a good monitor but for some reason the quality of the picture isn't good. It seems hazy and grainy and I dont know why. I play on an xbox one s and i know it only reaches a certain frame rate and the resolution isn't great but I still expect better. Can anyone help me out?
I also plugged in my laptop and the video quality isn't good. Could it be that the unit I got was faulty?
@@luisvillasenor6310 have you tried changing the resolution to 1920 by 1080 in the settings when its connected to your laptop? also in the advanced settings change it to 165hz because it comes 60hz out of box

It's possible somebody else is trying to steal your content in a way. there is another review for this monitor, and once they get to the display settings, their wording is essentially identical to yours, even saying the same phrases, that grammatically don't make much sense.

It's interesting you say this, I have had really no ghosting issues with this monitor, but you're not the first person to say something about it. Do you notice it all the time? On dark or light backgrounds?
@@NStewWX all the time. I play on a msi monitor with the new series s xbox. Thinking that would help but didn't. Also happens when I play warzone or fps games. I have it on faster response time which makes it worse & it still doesn't help

You need to have a monitor that can handle the amount of FPS that the gaming tower gives, if your monitor doesn’t have the same amount of FPS it won’t work

Colors not great, brightness is just lacking, blacks too pixelated and when pairing with Warzone its just too dark no matter how you set it up especially if you run an AMD with no filtering available to lighten shadows. HDR unavailable so if you bought for HDR content not a solid buy.
For a cheaper 1ms 165hz monitor it just barely gets the job done. I'd spend some more dough though and get something slightly larger with better color and brightness.
But I've been using mine for about a year and half so what do I know.
