It strips the hair from permanent Color and it does not contain bleach. Bleach is very damaging for hair so this is a gentle way to remove previous hair Color. Hope that answers your question ! :)
As a licensed cosmetologist, please do not use henna if you want to change your color later. Henna is extremely hard to remove and majority of people have to cut off their hair and start over. Henna is great if you have no plans of changing your hair color.
