I picked up a version of this from Amazon for $45. After the first one, I ordered another. The first was ZKSJ CT01, the second was LDARC CT01. Same price, identical unit except I didn't read the fine print. The LDARC did not include the lipo battery, but the SKSJ did. I also dug and found some other videos that go a bit more into detail about settings, a bit long winded but with a couple worthwhile tidbits. For instance, it turns out reasonably easy to set trim and individual left and right endpoints for channels beyond steering and throttle, for example for me to setup my dig servo. Also, the "channel mapping" allows a single button to control multiple channels, e.g. use the two position D for two sets of LED lights on/off (with amazon led light cables, which I had two, but I didn't have a Y cable). Another cool thing, There is a wire included with the receiver for battery voltage telemetry. So connect one end into the top left socket of the receiver and then the wire ends into the ESC's battery connector. Now the CT01 LCD shows me current voltage level of the rig's battery. Neato. Biggest downside: the beeps are loud, and I didn't find a way to change them.
Do you know if on the ZKSJ you can update its firmware with the hobbyporter firmware, i would imagine that the off brand isnt going to support it in such a way, but could be wrong
@@53rdcards I can only guess, but I guess yes. Other than including the battery, the ZKSJ seemed identical to the LDARC in all respects, the packaging was identical (marked LDARC not ZKSJ). I have not purchased the Hobby Porter, but I'd imagine it is also the same.
Idk what's up but does the telemetry wire get hot? I wired it up once and it burned the wire completely and afraid to try it again haha I checked the polarity and it's correct but somehow and somewhere it probably has a short in it
Wow, this video was a wild ride from start to finish! I never thought I could get so excited about a controller, but you've managed to make it entertaining and informative. I love your enthusiasm and the way you break down the pros and cons of the Hobby Porter CT01. Thanks for sharing this review and giving us a good laugh. Keep up the great work!
If you think a video about a RC controller is a "wild ride from start to finish", I think you might be suffering from Grass withdrawal, I suggest going outside and touching some.
But how to mix the throttle with one of the switches or a programmable adjustable throttle curve on the fly? Ie one curve se1lects 0 to 50% and other does 0-90% throttle. Is it possible?
Great video as always sir!!! I just wish you would have done a close up 360 view of the remote so we could see all the buttons you described and their positioning...up close. Otherwise very informative as always!!!
Hi, could you paste the link to the instructions please? Ive ordered this CT01 and want to give it a good read before it arrives 😉 because of your video too, so thank you ❤❤
This is real shit. I am now on my third radio. Same error on all. Steering fault/potmeter glitch.. Haven't even had time to use up a battery.. Just rubbish. Love your channel btw.
is it possible to program switch a to be momentary? for instance controlling a winch? when the button closest to the wheel is held it winches out until let off and then opposite on the other button? Great video as always! not sure why i wasnt subbed but i am now!!!
Can we get a radio with Multiprotocal? I just want to be able to use 1 remote with all my stuff without having to duck tape and solder a Banggood box to it.
Yes, endpoints are individually adjustable for all channels but it is a bit quirky. You hold steering all the way (e.g. left for left endpoint.. but sometimes which is which endpoint is which on screen is reverse from what you expect), and then use the dial to change endpoint value, and the servo will move as you adjust.
it's a magic bullet competitive advantage. A rechargeable lithium batter for a transmitter is the one thing every transmitter needs but very, very few have.
@@RCReviewChannel I completely agree, something I need to get for sure. Besides the small screen this looks like a great option. Always a fan of your thorough content 👍👍. I have a dirty mind so when you said "magic bullet inside" let's just say my mind traveled places and my lady has one....
Best thing is the battery, I have about 40 18650's. Bad screen too small, can't add over 5 items, The Rec led is just way too flashie, the screen is a big NO. The screen did not sell me.
If you grab a 20 dollar bottle or can or conformal coating everything is Waterproof. Just un case it. Spray the board. And done. Works for electronics of all types.

Any receiver option for 1/28 scale cars?

I feel u I have five rc and i have to label each controller so I know what vehicle it goes to lol
On the channels and you use them for lights and winches?
Can it change to only 2 position?
How do I keep getti g suggested this channel about banggood?
Is this gonna be good for buggy racing?
I have the hobby porter/turbo racing HP07. Fantastic 7 channel throttle for the money. Porter makes decent stuff.
Very helpful comment since I'm not familiar with this brand. The real manufacturer may be another brand though.
Awesome review. Thank you...
much appreciated.
Wow steal deal! Thanks for the review👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Whats the latency at long distance ?
I my kids have been using the model before this 9ne for years.
Great review 👍🏾
thank you.

Would you say it's better than the Flysky G7P which is $80?
this is definitely more powerful and more feature-packed. Price is crazy too. The only question now is its durability.
That's pretty good for price I might have to get one
Yeah, they're really in a different pricing dimension.
Any 4WS capabilities other than a 3 position switch?
I don't think so. No knob either for a variable position channel like a gyro.
Is this the same as the LDARC CT01 ?
It is the same.
It's always great to hear from you, but the bright light color background makes it tough to view your content. Takecare!
right on.
Is that the screen from the old Nokia phone i used to have ha..cool radio i like it
I believe Motorola pager.
@@RCReviewChannel haha
How is one-handed operation compared to the FlySky transmitters? Is the wheel closer of further from the thumb?
Yeah, this is great for one-handed since it is smaller
nice video..., thanks for the review.
👍👍👍😋🙏
have MOA set??
motor over axle? No.
Been using it way before this video lol

It goes back, and to the left. Back, and to the left.
Back...
And to the left.
Only 5 model memory! Really? You sure ?
I’m going to give it a try. Are the receivers waterproof?
for 100 bucks, I would not think so. Splash proof is your question I think.
I have submerged mine and it’s still working

Same about the 18650s here. Thats why I modded my Radiolink rc6gs to take three 3000mA Samsung cells. They last literally forever.
I want that toys
They need to make a waterproof receiver
