    I have done my comparability assessment report with NARIC UK. I also have my IELTS Academic which I got last week Friday. Please, when is the best time for me to start adjudication with GhPC. I am looking at the possibility of starting my course in sept 2023

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello and thanks for watching. The earlier the better but I think the usual deadline for submission to GPHC every year is June/July. I am not sure but you may have to check with GPHC but I think once you are approved to do the course, you have two years to commence the OSPAP. That was the norm back in 2015/16 when I did mine. I think to be on the safe side, send an email to GPHC and ask if you could apply now for adjudication against a course start date in Sep 2023. I am assuming you have all the other documents. Good luck.

    This is the first time I am commenting on any TH-cam video and this is because of the way you simplify information you dish out.
    I have checked the previous videos and all I can say is they've been more than helpful. Th!nks maam
    My question is:
    Perhaps, one has a family member in the uk and plans staying with them, does this reduce the amount needed for proof of funds?

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for such a very kind comment; I appreciate it. Even if one has a family member in the UK, I believe you still have to show the proof of funds. They may expect you to pay something towards the household bills etc but I believe they still need to see the proof of funds. I think it may be useful to read the guidance on Tier 4 visa which is on the gov uk website. Good luck!!

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello and thanks for watching. More about the student visa (Tier 4) which can be found on the gov uk website and I have linked it in the description box. The post study visa will be out from July 2021 and hopefully we will have more guidance but what we do know (from previous similar visas) is that you would only be eligible if you complete a course at degree level (be it undergrad or post grad). Sadly, the PG Dip is not at degree level which is why people opt for the M.Sc version which enables you switch your student visa to a work visa in the UK without having to leave. If you still want to opt for the PG Dip and you came in on a student visa, you will have to leave the UK once your student visa expires and apply from your home country for a work visa. Hope this explains it. Good luck.

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, you would have to make a tough choice of choosing another university that offers the M.Sc version. Have you emailed Hertfordshire to see if they plan to do the M.Sc version at any point so you can plan better? If you need a student visa and choose the PG Dip version of OSPAP, you won’t be able to switch into the new Post Study Work visa or the Tier 2 work visa whilst in the country. You will have to leave the UK and apply from your home country for a Tier 2 visa.

    Thanks so much for this video...nice work.
    Please I'm a lil bit confused about the account balance. Do I need the total figure in my account before applying for the Visa?
    Like the whole 9500 pounds for Sunderland or just 1050 pounds for 28 days, every month?
    Thanks.

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. I can imagine it can be quite confusing. Yes, you will need to show the maintenance amount depending on where you'd be in UK (outside London or inside London) for 9 months + your fees (or balance of your fees) in your account for 28 days. You will need this figure in your account for 28 days before you apply for your visa (I suggest leaving it for at least 30 days). There is a link in the description box of this video which links you to the gov.uk website which sheds more light on this. I hope this is helpful and clearer. Good luck.

    Hi! Thank you for this video💖
    I’m currently amidst the process of applying for my OSPAP course. And I’ve just discovered that I was meant to apply for my pre registration training through Oriel, prior to the start of the course itself and they had a deadline. I absolutely had no idea :( in that case will it possible to apply for my pre registration training through anywhere else other than Oriel? thanks x

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hadeel Ibrahim thanks for stopping by and I am glad you found this video useful. I will be filming a video about pre-reg and will address some of your questions. Oriel system is mainly for hospital pre-registration placements and some community pharmacies and GP practices. You can still apply to other community pharmacists and sometimes to some hospitals if they have not found pre-regs to fill their posts but it’s tricky. Next video will be on Friday and will do some research.

    I honestly don't think I know the differences between pgdip ospap and Msc ospap, can pgdip ospap enable one to practice in the UK or just another waste of precious time, funnily there are no videos about it on youtube just one India guy talking about it and one doesn't have a full grasp of what he is saying, I asked on a group someone referred me back here via a link, yet I am lost

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The title of this video is about student visas and not differences between M.Sc and PGDip OSPAP so I am not sure why you received a link to this video. If you require the best and accurate information on the M.Sc and PGDip, it may be best to contact the universities as they run the courses.
      Both courses are essentially the same but the difference is mainly on the length of the courses, fees and the visa extension prospects once you complete the courses. PGDip costs less, is shorter (usually ends in June/July) and it may be difficult to switch to the PSW or Tier 2 afterwards. M.Sc is more expensive, has a project aspect (and of course, this makes the course longer) and it is easier to switch to PSW or Tier 2 visa.

      Hello and thanks for watching. I am afraid you have to write either the IELTS exam or recently approved OET exam. I know what you mean considering that Nigeria is an English speaking country (it is my country too) but unfortunately we are not classed that way under the GPHC rules which is why we have to take the exam.

      - do a second job in certain circumstances
      - do voluntary work

      Hello, I have been seeing this question lately. I did my OSPAP approximately 5 years ago and it was the Academic IELTS that was only accepted but there seems to be some confusion with the IELTS UKVI. I am not sure what the correct answer will be. It may be best to email the home office customer service to ask as they will have the best answer and also GPHC. So sorry I am not sure of the correct answer as things appear to have changed. Hi thanks for the video. Do you think it’s possible to work as a pharmacy technician or assistant to support myself and if so is there any limitations of work hours as an msc opsap student.

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. As a student on a student visa, you are limited to 20 hours per week during term time and I have to say that the OSPAP year can be quite challenging so it may be difficult combining that with working but it’s not impossible. I don’t think you can work as a Pharmacy Technician whilst doing the OSPAP because you need to work a certain number of hours a week in a pharmacy and that will interfere with your OSPAP. You can work as a Pharmacy Assistant or Dispensing Assistant but the pay is not that great and I am not sure it will be enough to support you whilst here as a student. I would strongly advice having adequate funds to support yourself whilst as a student. For the Pre-Reg period, you get paid. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.
