- NATO's outgoing Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says Ukraine will become a member "when the time is right." He talks about securing more aid for the country fighting Russia and he says the US will remain a strong ally, no matter what happens in the upcoming election. He is on "Bloomberg Surveillance."

If russia attacked Ukraine, 2 1/2 years ago why are there any restrictions on fighting back? How would it have been if the US and its allies would have had restrictions on fighting the nazies during WWII? There has to be a rediculous answer to that question.

If Russia also fights without restrictions they can use nukes and other wmds. They will also target US. Ironically, Nato will be putting Europe into danger and not acting in a defensive posture.
The focus should be negotiating a lasting peace in the region, starting with the war in Ukraine. NATO needs to stop bending to the will of America, and not exacerbate the situation by talking about allowing Ukraine into NATO.

Ukraine now has active military experience and expertise in TRULY modern warfare, which cannot be said for many nations. given enough time to fix their country after the war, they could become sort of like Poland, who is a valuable asset to the alliance.
