My home town for 35 years. Lived at Newsome for most of that time but spent 6 years in Bradley. Left Hudds back in 2004 to come and teach in China and have never been back. I still read the online Examiner newspaper to keep up to date with what is happening there. Can't say I miss it but the memories will stay with me. I have to say Huddersfield has lost a number of architectural marvels like the Theatre Royal and lost beautiful iconic statues and central masonic gems. My home town for 35 years. Lived at Newsome for most of that time but spent 6 years in Bradley. Left Hudds back in 2004 to come and teach in China and have never been back. I still read the online Examiner newspaper to keep up to date with what is happening there. Can't say I miss it but the memories will stay with me. The old market hall, The ABC cinema and the Classic cinema where I was projectionist for 4 years. The Venn Street social club. The Burns Tavern on King street and many more haunts that no longer exist.

I have to say Huddersfield has lost a number of architectural marvels like the Theatre Royal and lost beautiful iconic statues and central masonic gems.
