Born in Huddersfield. Surrounded in stunning countryside. And that's someone who has lived in North Wales for nearly 35 years, always love to come back to check up on the old place.
memories for me... i went to 22 of april 2016... i left 12 may 2017.. Nice area Huddersfiels and halifax.. Last weekend i manage to return to see the places a bit .. . :D
It used to be the epicentre of growth in this country. People moved from now major cities to find work and start a new life. That's how my parents met. It was an industrial powerhouse. Very rich.
I've travelled extensively over the past forty odd years but can't imagine anywhere else I'd rather live, born and bred here, my family mainly resided in Meltham back in the 1970's, in fact several still do and although I consider myself as a Holme Valley lad having attended Meltham C of E followed by Honley High School I live more central these days, fairly close to Castle Hill and Victoria Tower in fact. Aren't we blessed here within our patch of God's Own County. 🙂
@@johnowen1677 And David Brown. And Brooke Motors. Shaw, son & Greenhalgh, Taylor Valves, ICI, Holmes Engineering, LB Holiday. The list goes on. The enormous wool mills.
