These are my favorite types of videos; the ones that focus on basic fundamentals. I think that's where most of us are in the game, so its good to see stuff like this from someone who has experienced the highest level of play.
I'm here because I absolutely want to see the whole process including mistakes, correcting them and changing your mind when new ideas come up. Thanks for this video
Thank you for these videos, I've improved my builds so much from seeing your building process. Before, I was doing some really bad stuff, like leaving cabs too exposed, not armoring up around guns, not hiding explosive items under the cab, not using grille parts to mount weapons... I still refuse to do spaced armour though until I get to a level where I really need to- I want my vehicles to look good as long as I can get away with it.
You should never put a plough on a regular part. If an explosive hits your destructible part, the plough will just disintegrate without being able to tank anything at all. Either make a hardpoint with your superstructure (recommended), or shoot-through parts.
this is my idea. i call this build the Kalphite (from Kalphite queen from Runescape) it is a crawling vehicle that is very slow and bulky, and if you get in trouble, you can eject a second built-in vehicle ,which itself has jetpacks, essentially giving you an extra life.
I know I'm late but still, this video gave me some new ideas and I have to say, I never thought about using the fenders as turret defences. Overall great vid man
Nice looking and simple build covered everything most need know coming to crossout and in a short amount time one thing is some parts changed like wheels but you and burger are heros upon the community subbed
Not good for begginers... You have to put real cash up to be able to build this... this game is extremely uneven when it comes to pay vs non pay its in stupid favor for pay users. If you dont pay you will get stuck at level 9-10 and be ran over by players with rockets and levitrons. the "free to play - pay to advanced" is abused and will be the death of this game. Soon they will be left with people that quit play because of the unfair advantage, and the "paying" customer leaving because lets be honest... everybody gets bored with a game. the only community left will be the new people trying the game... they will then leave because of the "fall of the market." i really wish they would have followed the model of ironsight.
@@dozer8065 whoa there. You definitely don't have to pay for this, and I've been there. Lightboys are blue, like every other blue they just need you to grind some scrap and copper - very doable if you just do some missions, copper is super cheap. One catch is you do need to work on your faction rep to craft them. You can't craft the jawbreaker yet but that was the first cab I bought on the market. And replace steppe parts with scav or nomad
@@dozer8065 I never get bored of the game. Maybe you do but its unlikely to bore me. And I have friends who play the game and never ever have they told me that you have to pay to play. So you kind of lied about people being bored with the game but I never have experienced me having to pay for anything and you don't pay for the parts.
I see where I went wrong. I used a particularly odd-shaped cabin that was tricky to defend and placed it right infront and slapped a couple guns on it, then gave it a stupid amount of bulk to increase defense, making a chassis that was meant to be agile into an absolute snail that got stomped in every game I played.
Good blue build, couple things though. The gas tank is in my opinion worthless they are squishy and pretty much kill you once destroyed especially if hidden under vehicle. You only get 10 fuel from a blue and that's assuming it didn't get destroyed. Also the biggest tip i see over looked in these vids is piece placement. Make sure each piece is attached on more than one piece, this way the enemy has to strip you down and not take out half your build by destroying one part.
These are great building tips! Does anyone have any recommendations on good yet not expensive shotgun builds? I tried to make a really tanky build but it wasn't working too well.
@@MrGPlays thanks sir! I just crafted the growl yesterday because it looked pretty cool. I already have an upgraded sledgehammer so I'm gonna start getting the stuff to craft another one now
So you said we should figure out what weopon we will use and I was wondering what build would work right best for the blue shotgun you get near the beginnings for the game?
Good build! I just wanted to know something real quick, I really want to buy those wheels, and since this is more of a beginners building guide, how do people get those wheels? Do they get them in crates, craft them or buy them? In my opinion they seem pretty expensive so when I want to buy 6 of them I have to grind quite a lot. Can somebody help me out?
My problem is coming from games like Robocraft and Terratech, I subconsciously try to build good looking cars, easily sacrificing function for form. I just can’t make myself do spaced armor. I don’t think it looks bad, I just can’t make myself do it
My only criticism about this is that u fast forward parts instead of showing the whole process, showing the whole process mean we know exactly what parts too use and where too put them otherwise i like this video the build looks very nice
I've been told that it doesn't matter if you mount a part with one weld point or all weld points, you get the full durability of the part. Is that true?? Doesn't make logical sense but it is a video game

so basically you cant build parts without spending real money on a workbench

Lunatics and Nomads.
