I discovered my nodules in 2013. I have a very large nodule on my left lobe and a smaller one on right. Had a few consults with top Endo surgent and was told that I can only have a total removal. I refused knowing that it’s just not a solution for me. Thankfully, I accidentally came across RFA online just a few weeks ago. I already booked a procedure a few state over! Very excited 😆
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I also found out about my nodules during a routine OBGyn appointment. My endocrinologist didn't even know about this when I brought it up earlier this year! He just kept pushing surgery. I had to do my own research and finally found a great doctor who is a pioneer in this procedure. I'm currently waiting to get a date for my RFA which had to be placed on hold due to Covid. Hoping it will be done in early October. I'm going to rejoin FB just for RFA group! I'll be sure to share my experience too.
I discovered my nodules too last year, the dr did the drainage and told me there is 50% chance it will come back. it came back 3 months ago when I notice it again. went to the endocrinologist, he is pressing for surgery and I am not too keen and definitely looking for PEI or RFA with another dr.

I have waited years since being diagnosed with benign nodules on my thyroid for a treatment besides surgery. So you are a God send, as this procedure is not available in my country (Trinidad & Tobago, Caribbean). So with the information you have provided in this video, I am now better equipped on my approach to finally getting treatment for my thyroid nodules. Thank you for giving me some hope , I am going through the same situation right now , I was told my nodule looked suspicious for cancer and iam so scared and stressed 😩 😢. It’s been over a month since I discovered the nodule , and I am still waiting to get a biopsy that scheduled for April , but the waiting time is just killing me . I am trying to stay positive as much as I could . Thank you for this video

I'm in UK and I've watched a couple of your helpful vids, as well as jotting down valuable notes from them. I was recently told by the NHS hospital that surgery was the ONLY option for my large nodules and prominent goitre, despite telling them over and over about the notes concerning other laser and radiofrequency methods. I've now refused the surgery option and I'm quite disheartened that the staff seem uninterested to hear my own views concerning surgery, which could permanently alter my voice, nerves or worse. I feel the staff make me feel stupid, when all I'm doing is trying to find out why surgery is the only option. Seems like going private may be a route I'll have to consider. :(
