Mine was found accidentally from an MRI of my neck after a car accident. There were only a few videos on the subject then. Great info.
I just got my done with PEI. Now I am at day2. So far very please with the result
I had PEI cause my nodule is cystic. My doctor also had RFA therapy too there for solid nodule patients. I lived in Indonesia.

Thank you for posting these videos on RFA. I’ve been interested in getting this treatment for a while and seeing someone talk about their experience with it is really helpful. I don’t have a Facebook account, so I’m hoping you’ll answers a few questions here.
1. How do I contact the doctor or facility?
3. How much does the procedure cost?
Does insurance cover any of it?
4. Did the doctor who performed the procedure coordinate care with your endocrinologist? Did you have to go through your endo to get labs, sonogram, & biopsy before approval?
I can email you the list of doctors (with their contact info). Some doctors accept insurance and some don't, you will just have to ask when you contact them. Also, some insurance companies will cover and some won't, so you may want to call your insurance and ask them.
And lastly, I had all preliminary ultrasounds and biopsies performed locally and sent the results to my doctor in Virginia. My local ENT doctor is going to follow up with me first, and then I will follow send those results to my doctor in Virginia.

@@hazelwood-wi9sk there is one in Gettysburg, PA. Is that a distance that would be doable for you?
I think its about 4 or 5+ hours away. I had hoped for something further south. We're near Cape May which is as far south as you can go in South Jersey - south of Atlantic City. Perhaps if I hang on, a Dr. closer will learn how to do it!! It has to be better than surgery! Thank you so much.

Will they do it with thyroid disorders like hyperthyroidism ?
Yes! Hyperthyroidism can be well treated in smaller hot nodules. Larger ones can vary in how well they respond.

@@ItsmeJenagain UK is out! I have contacted all the major Hospitals in Sweden and the only RFA treatment they do are for cancer patients, liver, wrists and nose, none for Thyroid nodules. Found no Hospitals that performs the PEI treatments either here. We who live in the EU can have a procedure done in another EU country if your country doesn't have a specialized Doctor that can do it and we dont have to pay for it. If there is any outside Sweden closes to us would be Norway, Finland or Denmark. Any DR.s there you know of?
@@Sugamamita I am not aware of drs in those countries. I'm so sorry! There are drs in Italy, UK, Austria, and Germany.
How much does PEI cost, more or less?
Usually, much less. It is a quicker and easier procedure.
How large was your nodule that it needed just one treatment?
ONLY 22 doctors in the USA do it?!
It was about 4 by 6 cm, I dont recall exact measurements. It was 65 to 75 ml in volume.
