This is J-Hope's last song before he enlists in the Korean military for 18 months, he will be the 2nd member of BTS to enlist. J-Hope has looked up to J. Cole for such a long time so this is a dream come true for him. You missed J. Cole and J-Hope meeting on the rooftop at the end of the music video.
Also, a big shout out to Jhope for putting this together. The Respect he has shown towards Cole is massive. He starts out with the little kid in the green bomber jacket. They filmed on the same exact street where Cole shot Simba. Jhope take us back to early Cole. Did you see that Avirex jacket? The 1990's playin' in my head. Then J. Cole shows why he is the best and we end with Jhope on the roof top with J.Cole, wearing a green bomber jacket. 2 greats on top! I like underdog stories and both these men are underdogs!
The song is so good . I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND THE FACT THAT HE'S JHOPE'S IDOL SPEAKS VOLUMES. EVEN JCOLE'S VERSE CAN BE USE FOR JHOPE'S IMPACT BECAUSE JHOPE IS ONE OF THE TOP DOGS IN KPOP SO I LOVE IT

remember j.cole's MV "SIMBA" ? the alley where he walked is the same alley where jhope walked on the first scene of this MV. respect for jhope for giving the floor to his idol, it's just amazing that j.cole's verse resonates well with J-Hope's lyrics from his songs "ARSON" & "MORE" Love the way this collaboration came out, I'm happy for j-hope, him as a j.cole fan cause from being a street dancer, loving hiphop and become a rapper, this is a dream come true for him. j-hope is a South Korean Rapper, he makes his own music. he's a great lyricist and a marvelous dancer. j-hope is joining the Military Service soon (it's mandatory for Koreans), so "On The Street" is his goodbye song for his fans until he returns in some years. He used to dance to J Cole's songs when he was a street dancer, his favorite album is Cole's album "Friday Night Lights" , an inspiration to start making his own beats. Also, he named his first mixtape as "Hope World" after "Cole World", even now, he showed the big respect he has for JCole, he gave many bars to JCole while j-hope was dancing to his bars, as he used to do when he was an underground dancer. j-hope is a hip hop lover who has been experimenting on many directions to his music, he recently released his solo album "Jack in The Box", its really an album for hip-hop lovers. To end, j-hope joining JCole for meeting at the roof is really meaningful and doing a song with his muse, as j-hope said, its really especial.

He was a street dancer before he was in BTS and danced to j Cole's music so the scene where he danced to j Cole's rap was really cool. He also planned for the mv to mimic Simba at the beginning, it's the same alleyway. J Cole is an amazing lyricist and rapper, it seems so effortless for him. It's a great song! J.Cole verse is fire, J-hope's verse is short but both killed it! 🔥 J. Cole is his muse. If you like hip-hop you will definitely like a lof of J-hope's songs and also a lot of BTS' songs but I have to mention that their discography is huge and so diverse (They have 3 rappers and 4 singers). You should check them out!
Btw, they sampled Born Sinner and it's called 'Born Singer', I think they released it in 2014 but last year they added that song to their latest album 'Proof' because it's really special for them. J-hope also mentioned J.Cole as one of his biggest inspirations along with other rappers in the BTS song "hip-hop lover/phile". I think you can maybe react to those two with the lyrics of course.
