Vader was in a bacta tank. Bacta is a fluid that has strong healing properties. Luke was in one in Ep.5 after he was attacked by the snow creature.

Yeah, as if the burns weren't already enough on their own he has keep returning to the tank every so often since what skin remains can't properly regrow while he's wearing his armor.

PLEASE, you, and EVERYONE, if you haven't already, embrace the One True Only God YHWH Jehovah, Only One Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son and Lord and Savior of our souls and the Only One Holy Spirit. God is good. God is love. Jesus is Lord. Jesus IS coming. Your soul depends on it!
I have seen God act in my life. He saved my soul, changed my heart, changed my mind, helped people through me, took care of people in my life, people I hurt before I found God. God is the only reason I was able to reconcile with my dad before he died.
God worked through Jesus Christ to save our souls. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. Be baptized in The Holy Spirit, and if He wills, water as well. Repent of your sins, accept God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into your heart, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him.
Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible.
The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil".
LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

In the rebel attack to Scarif, the Red Five pilot died trying to enter in the base. The rebellion chose later a new red five pilot... Luke Skywalker as we witnesses in episode IV and the following.
For me, this is one of the best Star Wars films ever. The whole film is incredible: complex characters, narration... and the last fifteen minutes a brutal rollercoaster. Darth Vader here show us how terrific he could be.

My brother and I watched this, a month ago. He lives in Chicago, and I'm in our home area of South Ohio. Out Father died, last March of Dementia. My brother, and some of his family have come down to visit, and help. Recently, he was here, and started talking about Star Wars (we saw the originals '77-'83 -had toys, comics. By the time of the prequels, he was married and they had children) . He said he'd never seen R-1. So, we got some beer, had some time, he viewed R-1 at my house. My brother really liked this film -the espionage, the actual war -the more realistic filming; less obvious digital. He knew a few actor, not all -yet, agreed that has the most diverse cast of actors. This ties films together. It can be funny, and scary and War. And the surprises!

Yep and things like this are why I hate it that reactors start w/ Ep.4, watch all six then go to Rogue One. They forget all the details because unlike us who grew up watching over and over, they have just watched them once. Even during Ep.3 I have yet to see a reactor notice that when Yoda, Bail and Obi-Wan get together after Order 66, they're on the ship that is literally the first ship shown on screen during Ep.4. I'm a huge fan of watching the franchise is chronological order.

11:39 -- These are the two guys who harass Luke and Obi-Wan in the bar on Tatooine, where Obi-Wan slices dude's arm off.
26:44 -- Chirrut Imwe is not a Jedi, but he is a Force Wielder.
There are so many directions you can continue from here.
The "Andor" series explores how Cassian became part of the Rebellion prior to this movie.
The animated series "Clone Wars" dives deeper into Anakin and Obi-Wan lives between "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith". There are 7 seasons, but each episode is very short. Then follow up with "Star Wars Rebels".
After diving into these, probably "The Mandalorian" would be good direction to take. It takes place roughly 5 years after "Return of the Jedi".

End of that movie in theatres was probably the best theatre experience I’ve had. The successful but tragic end of the leads, Devastator rolling in with guns blazing, Vader’s spooky appearance before he went Jason Voorhees in the hallway and the awesome final tie in to New Hope with Leia. When Vader started breathing and lit his saber the crowd I was with was terrified. The guys in the role of the rebel crew members really sold the horror of facing such a force user.

There's a lot of dislike for these movies because a lot of the original Star Wars fans were fans of the Skywalker story. @@Ottawajames Maybe I'm in the minority, but I get tired of the obsession with the Skywalkers and the jedi. There's so much more to the Star Wars universe than the Force and that one family. I always found Han to be a much more interesting, fun character compared to Luke's whining teenager at the start. (I think Mark Hamill is great, but episode IV Luke is not very likable.) George Lucas giving the droids personalities, (neurosis), emotions, and even sentience, was a brilliant world-building choice for the franchise. Rogue One isn't exactly a "stand alone" movie, like "Solo: A Star Wars Story" is. When I saw this movie in theaters, I immediately raced home to watch A New Hope again for the bazillianth time. I haven't watched either of those movies individually since it hit home video.
2:25 - Before we get any further, I'm assuming you haven't watched the Clone Wars, Bad Batch, or Rebels animated series, am I correct in that? I'm asking, because, well, all three introduced/included a character that is in this movie. Also, the live action series "Andor" is a prequel to this movie, involving one of the main characters. Basically, don't skip over the series, animated or not. They are all part of the lore/canon, and connect to one another in some way.
3:07 - No, her nickname is Stardust. Jyn is her actual name.
5:37 - Yes, Cassian just killed the informant. Why? Because he would have been captured, and tortured until he revealed what he knew. Cassian actually did him a favor by preventing a slow, painful death by giving him a quick one.
9:35 - Mon Mothma said it best, "Saw is an extremist." He is paranoid about potential traps, betrayals, and the Empire finding him. He's high up on the Empire's hit list. Plus, saw will sacrifice anyone, or anything, to further "the cause".... hurting the Empire.
11:40 - You likely didn't recognize those guys, but they were the ones in the canteena in A New Hope that messed with Luke, and got Obi-Wan instead.
12:05 - Chirrut could sense the Kyber crystal of her necklace. That is why her mother said, "Trust the Force". Kyber crystals are living things, with a connection to The Force.
13:25 - No, that wasn't a Wampa (from Empire). That was actually the original concept design for Chewbacca.
14:15 - Fun fact: The actor playing K2-SO actually connected that slap with Diego Luna's nose in that take. Afterward, he apologized quite a bit. If you look closely, you can see that Luna was holding his hand in front of his mouth, because he was laughing at the mis-cue. He wasn't bothered by it, but actually amused.
19:50 - Saw knows that he would not make it to the ship before the upheaval kills everyone if they wait for him. He's quite literally as much machine as Vader is, at this point. He can't run, can barely walk, needs oxygen, and he's going to do what he always has: What he feels is best for The Cause. In this case, it means sacrificing himself.
27:00 - While it's not confirmed, my best guess is that Churrit (and Baze, as well) were trained to be Jedi, but never made it to the trials before Order 66 came down. They may have been assigned to the Jedi temple on Jedha in their teens as guardians. Given that it has been 20 years since Order 66, they would likely have failed the "Knight" trials, and been assigned off world. But again, we don't know for sure.
33:25 - Think.....who did he adopt at the end of Episode III.......?
35:50 - Basically, Stormtroopers are either volunteers ("it's a job that pays") or conscripts ("drafted into service"). Either way, they vary greatly in their competence.
36:05 - K2 was basically downloading a map of the Citadel Tower, so they would know where they were going. That other droid being assigned there, would have one internally.
49:00 - When Vader's breathing was heard, the entire theater went NUTS!! I'd already had goosebumps all over when the Rebel fleet showed up, but this sent chills down my spine. Also, this scene wasn't in the original script. The movie was less than 2 months from release, when someone had the idea of giving Vader "a bad-ass scene" at the end of the movie. It was quickly filmed, edited and added prior to release. And bless whomever thought of the idea, and whomever approved it.
48:50 - The same way they did Tarkin.... stand-in actors and digital face replacement.
50:05 - They all had "Not in Episode IV-itis". Also, it shocked a lot of people that Disney would make a Star Wars movie THIS dark, and kill everyone off at the end of it... but it's also considered to be the BEST Disney era movie made thus far.

In the Star Wars stories Rogue One added with Andor are a bit more grown up stories. These are for an older audience. Lucas probably would not have gone in this direction because he believed Star Wars should stay for a young audience. This is more what older fans wanted but this not typical Star Wars. I have always wanted something outside the Skywalker storyline. Something more real and more about the rebellion.

Vader is pretty much always in pain, not to mention his suit is extremely itchy and uncomfortable. The Emperor made his suit that way intentionally.
I'm not sympathetic at all though, he brought that situation entirely on himself.

the NEW disney Star wars movies DONT ALLOW romance like the George Lucas Star wars movies .. So they are not as fun or popular they could have these characters KISS at the end , but NOI ..IN classic Hollywood they would have .. in DISNEY there is no room for traditional Romance or hook ups anymore in any of the films they make

@@JaneEticFailure "woke" is a buzz word, there are many real issues with sequel trilogy though
These movies are overall poorly done, without any direction, with awful new characters on top of assassinating the old ones
There's a reason why Disney did nothing with the new trilogy after its release and if rumoured Rey trilogy will come out it will probably retcon half the shit a sequel trilogy did
