I think it's more that she thinks if you try to break going at those speeds, you're flying off that bike.

7:40 that kind of clear glassy ice is called "steel ice" in the nordics (teräsjää in Finnish). It is very strong and during winter times this is where lanes for cars are often plowed as a shortcut. 5 centimeter thick steel ice can carry an adult person. 1,4 meters thick steel ice can carry something like 60 tons, so logging trucks with a trailer on full load can safely drive on it.
Skating on sea ice is quite relaxing and an efficient mode of travel (with trekking a.k.a. touring skates, NOT that relaxing with traditional skates).
My family has lived around Umeå, Sweden for generations, and when my father was a kid there was a water channel frozen almost year round that lead right to his school, so they would ski to school on the ice. (Idk what kinds of skis they used but it definitely wasn’t normal skis)

Ummm, yeah, a few people do it. It is one of the more "worth doing" things out there.
That ride at the 11:00 mark is on top of the Stratosphere Casino here in Las Vegas. It is a little more than 1000 ft above street level and there is no way in hell I would ever go on it.
7:12 In Manchester, England. There's a place called chill factor which is an indoor ski resort. I learned how to ski there but I've never been at an actual ski resort in france or something. As long as you're not scared to go a bit fast or fall, it's really fun

That one with sled over a building is here in Las Vegas,Nv. USA. It's on top of the Stratosphere Hotel. It's a ride you can even just look it up and see it.

The avalanche thing looked like mountain rescue people deliberately setting off an avalanche. They do this when there's unstable snow pack to keep skiers and others safe on the mountain. They clear the mountain, then set off the avalanche to prevent a surprise snow tsunami. It's all controlled as much as possible. Sometimes, they'll do it by shooting a mortar at it. That I would like to do.

Those boats you were talking about are called gondolas and they're mainly seen in Venice, Italy.

So when you clear the top layer of snow off of a Mountainside no one is below it you've cleared it. The reason why it's so appealing is cuz as your snowboarding or skiing down the hillside or the Mountainside as you know for a fact that the conditions have already been taken care of so you don't have to pay as much attention behind you as in front of you.

Well Nal, in Oklahoma of all places, we can go from one extreme in temperature to the opposite within a few hours. Feels like Summer one day and Winter the next. The seasons here are more like suggestions of what temperature should be at that time of year, but it goes “off-script” at the drop of a hat.

Yes, skiing/snowboarding is definitly worth trying. I'd say try both, giving each a full week, and then seeing which one you perfer. I tried snowboarding first but didn't 'get it', switched to skiing and been doing that ever since (although my last ski trip was in 2012, so it's been while).
I would recommend going to the ski resort, then hanging out at the lodge in the hot tub or by the fire, with big mugs of hot cocoa and plenty of pastries.
The "World's tallest ropses course" is in a mall in New Jersey USA. It's pretty tall but I don't think it actually is the world's tallest.
Bungy chord with the exercise looks like it would be alot of fun. And Australia's climate is pretty comparable to Texas.

amber, there is a thing called gravity and momentum. if you stop the momentum, gravity is left and thats how you eventually stop swinging in the first clip

Skiing is a lot of fun. I only did it once because I have a messed up knee and it hurt enough that I won't go again. However, I could have easily gotten hooked on the sport.
My brother and I learned snow skiing as children, and we took to it like ducks to water.
I'm aware of the Vegas "ride" at the Stratosphere, and I doubt I would do that one either...
The best is being able to surf in the morning and snowboard late afternoon into night

1:00 - Stopping is actually pretty easy since kinetic energy drops fast. Just stop accelerating or crouch down to change the center of gravity and you'll stop very qickly. I think however, that your main concern should be: How can anyone be that bad at filming?

Stratosphere rides at the top are insane! So much fun! Its even better when the operator has been there for 6yrs and loves the job. Everyones reaction to a fake failure is unique.
Started skiing at 3-4 years old, swapped to snowboard at 12, still love it 22 years later

If you were a song, you'd be the best single on the album.
Nal, you stop the swing in the first clip by not giving the swing any momentum with slightly bending your knees , gravity will stop it by itself, just takes a bit of time. If you want more momentum to do all around loops, you bend your knees when it goes down so your weight is higher and stand when it goes up so your weight is less.
