the dot art is a mathematical solution to printing images called rastering. It is how most digital images and pictures are printed for us to view so it is very simple to download a program that will tell you where to put the dots and how big they should be.
Yeah it looks like they had the outline of the dots printed out and then they just filled them in, its not really that impressive since it is just filling in dots.

Just putting this out there, the channel showing customising gundam model kits is called "Studio G". It's amazing.
Honestly with the kid delivery train, I think it's a prototype for what "school buses" of the future in Japan might look like, it would be a complex setup to be sure, and has to be accurate for the alignment of the train vs the exit tube to the home
its one of those concept ideas that no one is serious about and will probably never see any investment in. also i think its Chinese since it has Chinese written on it :p
The idea itself is rather SciFi than a vision to become true, but that accuracy of stopping a train is already reality in various places around the globe, mainly Japan and the Emirates/Qatar. It became vital to be able to mount barriers completely separating passengers on the platform from the tracks. Those barriers have doors/ports at given spots, and the train must stop exactly in place to have the doors aligned. Also that requires all trains on such a line to have an identical distribution of its doors along the consist. That's why such solutions are mostly found on the metro/subway/underground and on isolated lines like the Shinkansen.

Also since Nal said she doesn't see any use in the miniature things. In a lot of production films they use miniatures to make cartoons, claymation or even some explosions etc., so it is a usefull thing and people make living from this.

The train video is just a concept for what future traveling might be (you can see from the not so great CGI animation and green-screen, also the glass or plexi cover is moving with no hinge), personally I think there are far more flaws with this design than advantages. PS.: Sorry for my spelling or grammar, English is not my native language

Let me tell you, a lot of people do that with their Gundam kits. They all look fucking phenomenal with the additional details.
All I do is just airbrush them to look better than colored plastic and place some water slide decals here and there. It's an expensive hobby.
Some of the time these miniature models are used for producing cartoons or even movies. It's wild what the eye will/won't see if the scale is properly set.

People like doing things like model building and putting together miniature things because 1: they enjoy it, 2: the satisfaction when it's done to your idea of perfection (or close to it) is amazing, and 3: because it gives a sense of pure and utter control according to several articles I have read over the years. Especially dioramas, model trains and a number of other things. I used to build models, still do when I have the time.
Edit: GUN DAMN... Gundam Dioramas can get really freaking intricate too.
