It was good, reminded me a bit of fear street series. I agree it's well made, just not what I thought it was. The dialogue didn't sound 80s to me, but good acting and story. But hey I was entertained for a while, I can't lie.
I really thought it was going to be a cheesy show because of Julie Bowen, cause in modern family one big part about her character was loving cheesy horror movies and Dylan in modern family and Dylan in Hysteria shared so many characteristics in the first episode
It was an interesting take on demonic themes and characters are honestly interesting...yes it had potrntial to be bigger but does not that mean that at least it was worth making? So yes it was a good show but sure nothing special. If season 2 comes I hope for more exploring of these themes.
its a 4 out of 10 from me, supposed to take place in 1980 and it fails at even that, its like kids cosplaying the 80's based on the memes they saw, the humour... well if u think cringe ytubers are hilarious than this is for u, the mystery is not much of a mystery, the show doesnt know if it wants to be supernatural or grounded in ''reality'' ( fictitious reality that is), the characters are cringe modern day kids with no backbone in the 80's ! (that aint no school i was raised in or heard of) theres nothing redeemable about these kids... the cop is pretty much an idot (Bruce), the story in itself is boring, its if a Grandpa tried to make a meme show wihout fully understanding what makes memes funny and thats not fair to Grandpas cuz i know there are a lot of funny Granpapas out there. Its also weird how this show is not categorised as a comedy but it keeps trying to be a parody, all in all u cant take this show seriously or have a real laugh at it. The ending episodes make u think about a s2 and i bet u that they either go all in into the supernatural stuff or they will keep baiting that the supernatural exists while having nothing to do with the things going on in the show.
Sadly I feel that show didn't get enough buzz. Can't find much content regarding the show
Great show, the girl at the end should've gotten bigger repercussions tho
Completely agree
@ianwilkes435 4 sure, she got a happy ending
What was the reason for the rash? And was she really possessed?
The soundtrack alone gets it an A+

There is room for potential to deepen the story. Curious if they will do a 2nd season. Peacock has been renewing a lot of their shows lately.
I love it!!
Great show!
It’s was pretty mediocre to be honest. By the end, the supernatural component is used to excuse bs plot. Cliche and unsatisfying.
