Thank you guys so much for all your support again! Can't wait to dive into more videos like this. Hope you are having a great day! ❤ Ps: Some parts got muted because of copyright 🙈
Thank you so much for your comment! I'm really getting bitten by the bug. It's so cool, and I'm so happy!!! 😍 Gotten a few messages about people getting converted into the 40k faith, and it feels both good and bad. I LOVE 40k, but also, now they are going to be addicted, maybe for life 😂
The next part 3.1 is an addendum to certain parts of this video as part of the lore was updated and changed shortly after Luten09 made this video. Also you should check out Oldman Reacts mistakes of the Emperor series as he explains more detail on certain events and the main reason Big E never told anyone about chaos or the web way.
Below are links to "The Last Church" as an excellent fan reading & an animated film adaptation: Excellent Fan Reading: th-cam.com/video/qg1MrCyCmNU/w-d-xo.html Animated Film Adaptation: th-cam.com/video/jSEVCs8o0H8/w-d-xo.html
Man, the last church really does show that despite all of The Emperor's superhuman powers and vast knowledge he is still just a human, humans have flaws, humans aren't perfect like gods or divine beings.
I highly reccomend you check out the "Mistakes of the Emperor" Series from the channel Old Man Reacts. So far there are 6 episodes, each going over one of the greatest mistakes the emperor made in his conquest.
I'm of the opinion that in the early days of 40k humans were all perpetuals and all but a few gave it up to create the emperor. That or the Emperor was actually the first man according to a biblical take, Adam, kicked out of the garden of creation for seeking knowledge and disregarding god which makes sense with his character. Or that the emperor was simply a man of power from the 20k era who convinced humanity past 40k after forgetting and regressing that he was eternal in a bid to maintain power.
I like the idea that the emperor was weapon (clone maybe), from the Golden Age of humanity. While it's not likley, it is an idea from a perpetual in the lore and it would explain why the empreor only acted after the fall of humanity. Though it's said he was Alexander the Great in the past.... so.... yeah... no idea what his plan was there...
"While it's not likley, it is an idea from a perpetual in the lore and it would explain why the empreor only acted after the fall of humanity." it was confirmed that the Emperor was Alexander the great and also possibly Jesus.
I always fall back on a Star Trek quote whenever I get into a discussion about religion vs science. The quote is 'When you eliminate all logical possibilities, whatever remains however illogical, must be the truth. Science has gone so far to explain many things that were considered supernatural 200 years ago. Yet there are still many things about the universe that science still cannot explain. And considering that science has actually confirmed that there are such things as residual energy and EMF's that are usually associated with ghosts, then it's possible the supernatural does exist: in a plane that we still cannot reach with our current technology. Both the Emperor and Uriah were right and wrong in their arguments. Having faith and belief is fine as long as you also embrace logic and science to keep a 'balance' of sorts in your heart, mind and soul.
"Science has gone so far to explain many things that were considered supernatural 200 years ago. Yet there are still many things about the universe that science still cannot explain." you understand the irony of that statement?
For my hot take, if we're going to move towards a more secular society then that absolutely requires a greater emphasis on learning the arts, especially philosophy. Intuitively, this is due to the principle of "just because you can do something doesn't mean you should", and that people really need a solid grounding in at least the basics of "how do you know what you know" so that we can at least have a common vocabulary to talk about it. Funny thing is, a lot of major European philosophy is heavily coloured by Christianity. The whole concept of the atheist philosopher is largely a myth; most philosophers I know of are deeply spiritual or religious in one way or another. If anything, what I said earlier about secularism is probably a trap. If anything, a greater appreciation of philosophy would probably result in a much greater appreciation of religion in general.
Honestly, I don't think that the Emperor was honest about the "narrow path of Mankind". It's a common tactic for autocrats and dictators to present themselves as heroes coming to save their country from a danger, even if that danger is not real. And if the Emperor was really honest about it, he did not do a great job about resolving that problem XD
he did seem honest about it. to malcador, about his final gift to a race he failed, everything he did. Dictators dont give up power, not only was he planning on doing it but also not give it to his son but to humanity, one of the reasons Horus turned away.
I think the Emperor is based on Kahn from Star Trek. He was created by the Sigilite in the time of high technology. Because he's a geneticley ingenierd tyrant like Kahn, he has DNA from some of earth's greatest warlords which explains why his sons appear to be geneticley different. He has Gengus Kahn's DNA so Jagatie does as well. The Shaman back story still works, they just decided to use this ingenierd bady to reincarnate in. With access to his genetic memory it gives the illusion of being 10s of 10000s years old.
I just saw you reactions to the first 3 parts of Leutin's videos which is the first time I'm seeing them, something I disagree with is that he doesn't subscribe the theory that thousand of shamans commited mass suicide in order to coalesce into the emperor as he doesn't believe those first psyckers could be powerful enough to form the emperor. However something we can plainly see with many genetic traits is that they are watered down or weakened as generations go on. There is every reason to believe that the first psychers were in fact the most potent in their raw ability, this would also explain why humanity saw so little psyckers for many thousands of years. Because due to the mass suicide they essentially removed themselves from the gene pool, and humanity would have to essentially 'restart' in terms of waiting for humans to have the mutation to have psychic traits. I think his reasoning as least at the time of making that video was a bit flawed in that way at the time, but I also like his theory of an old one being involved.
I honestly don't really have any theory about the Emperor ^^ For me, he is the Emperor, and that's enough, he's that god-like individual that survived through the Golden Age of Technology and the Age of Strife and conquered Terra and the Galaxy. He don't need an origin ^^
It would be easier to feel sorry for the believers if belief wouldn't literally create demons to eat peoples' souls. How many children's souls ripped from their bodies until the end of time were those beliefs worth?
Here's an easy way to understand why "religion is needed": -science can give you a weapon -religion teaches not to use that weapon to kill every bloke you come across Me personally I'm faithful but not dogmatic/religious. My morality is based on Judeo-Christian Roman Catholic teachings. However, I don't follow the tenets word for word nor as goals to aspire to, except: God teaches us love and forgiveness. I also read a lot of philosophy, theology, and all the major religions scriptures and yet I still can have illuminating talks about faith with people from different religions backgrounds and even with different levels of religious authority within those beliefs. Am I right? For me I am; for you? That's for you to decide. And through this we aren't offended if we disagree rather we move on when our ideals are irreconcilable and start talking about something else (maybe completely unrelated to the topic)
"religion teaches not to use that weapon to kill every bloke you come across" see i dont agree here. You dont need religion to be a moral person. Scarily enough, some of the scarily immoral people ive talked to both on the net and in real life are religious people. I mostly feel this way due to when a person is a dick, he knows it and doesnt shy away from it, while as Weshammer put it, " Its scary when people can do heinous things and 100% think they are in the right and just".
Good point! I feel like it's good to give some special bonus content to members. And gameplay seamd like the most fitting. But making EP1 of Space Marines free sounds like a good ida! Will do 🤩
i think saying there is good in religion is like saying there is good in beating your wife. just because she's too afraid to defy you anymore and always has food ready when you get home does not mean there are good parts. those things are evil because they arise out of evil, even if you like them. that doesn't make them good, that just makes you evil. to me, nothing that comes from lies or ignorance is good.
Hey if you want to know more about primarchs and character there's a channel named "Amber King". The way they explained to us about the character is very interesting. So check it out on their channel.
There are only negatives to religion. Mostly, we should care about what is true. The idea that religion can help you, when you are struggelin is simply naive and a lie. In fact religion makes it often worse, people are often struggelin even more, askin why are htey punished, why are they dying, why are they suffering etc. That's my take on that.

the interex also worked with alien species and had knowledge of chaos which they opposed, their extinction is truly a tragedy
Wow 👀
Ole its great seeing more and more ppl get into this weird and special world that we call ”the hobby”. Thanks for ”bearing the word”. 🦄🦄

Lutin09s original Eldar/Necron vids!!!!!

Once ur done with this you should watch “the final battle” by vox in the void. Only 17 min and sick as fuck
Vox in the void has so many good 40k narrations!
Also reccomend Leutins videos on the Grey Knights...more awesome storytelling in those.
There is also a part 4 by the way. (Not to confuse with part 3.1 wich you mentioned)
I highly reccomend you check out the "Mistakes of the Emperor" Series from the channel Old Man Reacts. So far there are 6 episodes, each going over one of the greatest mistakes the emperor made in his conquest.
the music in his videos shouldnt have any copy right issues btw
I've gotten like 3 copyright claims for the music ;( So, I've just muted them. Hope it doesn't sound to strange :p

sucks you put you space marine gameplay on members only
can't be monetized, so it's understandable, but he should have put 1 or 2 hours for free at least

religion has good aspects and has been useful in the past, but everything it did, something else does it too now.
