If the reason Trump is not being charged is because he's currently president, something about that should be changed. Either it should be possible to charge a president with a crime if there is sufficient reason to think they have committed one (or many), or, when the situation indicates sufficient evidence for the possibility of such misconduct, that president should be put into a not presidential position that allows being accused of a crime, at least until the trial ends. A president should not be able to break the law without consequences just because they are president. I think Nixon said something similar to that (approximately: 'when the president does it it's not a crime') and it was not thought to be true. If a crime is committed, it is still a crime, regardless who does it.

We need to pass some laws to pause the statutes of limitation so he can't use being in office as a time-waster to get off on all these charges. Mueller has at no time said Trump is guilty of anything, he has however said that he has found enough information to mean that he cannot rule out certain crimes. If the reason Trump is not being charged is because he's currently president, something about that should be changed.
Either it should be possible to charge a president with a crime if there is sufficient reason to think they have committed one (or many), or, when the situation indicates sufficient evidence for the possibility of such misconduct, that president should be put into a not presidential position that allows being accused of a crime, at least until the trial ends.
A president should not be able to break the law without consequences just because they are president.
I think Nixon said something similar to that (approximately: 'when the president does it it's not a crime') and it was not thought to be true. If a crime is committed, it is still a crime, regardless who does it.

The report wasn't about "exonerating" Trump, it was about bringing certain facts to the fore. The only way Trump could be exonerated would be if he was actually charged and put on trial. Mueller has at no time said Trump is guilty of anything, he has however said that he has found enough information to mean that he cannot rule out certain crimes. You’re trying to spin what’s in black and white here. Mueller has been very clear.
