He's right though: No-one's obligated to release their tax returns. That it is customary for US presidents doesn't matter. That he promised doesn't (legally) matter. There is, however, an ongoing procedure to request them regarding some evidence of charity fraud if I recall correctly.

Does this mean some guilty people walk free? Yes, but that’s why it’s important accusers come forward as soon as possible. However, a simply accusation isn’t enough, there also needs to be evidence. It’s hard for me to root for anyone at this point. Both sides are exhaustingly dumb. Every single “witness” is extremely “credible” based on the side you’re on. These words have lost all their meaning.
Ford was a prime example of how poorly the Dems strategize against Trump. Her story wasn’t credible when she couldn’t provide the slightest bit of corroboration. I think Trump wouldn’t have nearly as much support if it weren’t for the relentless attacks by Dems.
