Hi, . The meter on the right side is the control room meter it is open available on the cubase artist and cubase pro version. What version do you have ?. Ther is more stuff and plugins on artist and pro. Thank you. Hope that is helpful to you. ALAN

@saadshah7857 The good thing about CUBASE is you can upgrade to artist or pro. Or you can upgrade from a old version of cubase to cubase 13. If you look on the Web pages, some times they have upgrade sale and you can get them very cheap. But at the end of the day cubase elements still does the same thing as the rest, just a few less features. Cubase is still the best DAW 👌. Cheers Alan

what order do you use to add a send such as reverb to a vocal track? Create the FX channel first then add the send to the vocal track, then go back to the FX channel and click on the send and the drop down menu would show the reverb?

What inserts and sends? The difference?

@cassandrahuskey8866 An insert is like putting a plug-in directly on the track. With a send, you take the track, and you route a sort of copy of the track to an auxiliary channel, and put your effects there, on that channel. 😀 Alan

@@cassandrahuskey8866 Insert effects are inserted into the signal chain of an audio channel. As a result, the whole channel signal passes through the effect.
You can add up to 8 different insert effects per channel.
Use insert effects for effects such as distortion, filters, or other effects that change the tonal or dynamic characteristics of the sound.

@@cassandrahuskey8866 Send effects can be added to FX channel tracks, and the audio data to be processed can be routed to the effect. This way, the send effects remain outside the audio channel’s signal path.
Each audio channel has 8 sends, each of which can be freely routed to an effect (or to a chain of effects).
Use send effects in the following cases:
To control the balance between the dry and the wet sound individually for each channel.
To use the same effect for several different audio channels.
