I think these Higher level LTDs are excellent. I’m very impressed with the playability and quality. This was my buddies that I borrowed, but I play my 1987 Mirage Reissue LTD and M-1000 LTD just as much as my actual ESP Mirage.
I have the black one also, it’s got the best neck/action of any guitar I’ve ever played I think, and I’ve played the original ‘87 ESPs back in the 80’s. Those old super strats were the kind of guitars where you could go into a studio and they’d have 20 guitars on the wall, and you’d see an M1 or a Charvel and you’d immediately be drawn to it because they just look so compact and comfy (and fast). It’s hard to explain. They also have some weight to them, these reissues. Mine weighs 8.7 lbs. and feels solid as a rock. I just can’t get over how they absolutely nailed the whole 80’s vibe, I keep the black one in Standard E but I plan to buy a few more eventually for different tunings.
I bought the white eclipse a few weeks ago, it’s killer. very similar guitar but 2 humbuckers. It is the very first ESP I've ever owned and I love it. Very high quality. Better than some Ibanez I've owned that cost more money.
A couple things I wanted to point out too, is that this awesome guitar is made in KOREA! Which for you younger guys is FAR better than Indonesia or the Firewood from China. Also, because of the Neck-Thru construction, Alder body, tight, snappy Ebony fingerboard and fire-breathing Seymour Duncan pickup, this thing just screams and has an incredibly fast note-attack !! Seriously, I may buy this in the Dark Blue, have it routed for a Neck pickup, and it will be probably the last electric I'll buy or need. ESP REALLY knocked it out of the park with this Model!
Isn’t that very expensive for LTD? Also if you have any experience is it better than other brands compared to this type of single H guitars? For example kramer baretta and bc rich gunslinger
This is the highest end LTDs that they have. There are much cheaper ones, but they won’t have the same specs. Imo these LTDs are terrific. I think that the Kramer SM-H is also a great guitar and both are about the same in quality. The Kramer has a fatter neck. I have a couple of videos on my channel playing and reviewing those. I haven’t play the barrette or gunslinger, but I’m sure they are great guitars too
Although it has Seymour Duncan’s that are passive, the battery still powers the switch, so probably so. It’s probably all connected and needs the battery to work
@@theguitargrappler9352 Oh, got it! Thanks. I just bought the guitar from Thomann, however its written INDONESIA instead of KOREA Have no idea how these guys are making their guitars. They keep switching the country of fabrication. Also the volume switch is over sensitive and if rotating it, at times the sound stops all together. I guess I'll have to get it fixed.
@@juancarrera2222 me too. Check out the ESP LTD 1987 Mirages then. I did a video on those too, which does have a recessed Floyd. I love mine. Virtually the same guitar feel wise, just a couple of different features and colors.
@@theguitargrappler9352 yeah that could be a good option, but I like the one pickup neck through thing. I’m actually between these one, the ltd m-1000 and the one you mention.
i got the black version of this guitar and was blown away! they are stepping up the LTD quality big time!

@@nordicomsystems8841 its pretty insane how good these guitars are for the price
Killer playing, looks effortless with that beautiful guitar. Awesome
Much appreciated! Yea, the guitar makes it easy for me. I just sit back and let it do it’s thing.
I have this exact guitar. I was blown away!
I'll give a thumbs up, rock n roll
Beaty guitar & nice sound!
Thanks a lot. This thing is a machine

Yea, ESP is doing it right. I’ve played a lot of higher end guitars and some of these LTDs hold up nicely compared to them, for half the cost.
Jesus! Your guitar playing is fucking phenomenal
Thanks a lot man 🙏

I agree completely. This thing is a machine. That blue is very nice too
I used to have an LTD JH-600 Jeff Hanneman signature. Ordered one of these in black , sounds awesome!
Nice! I really like how sleek the black looks
@@theguitargrappler9352 very happy with it ..excellent out of the box. Just dropped tuning to e flat and adjusted floyd float
@@LeoM-zt3pl Awesome man! Glad to hear that.
I like bolt on and neck through I have both types it all depends on the guitar really.
Yea, I agree with that. I prefer neck through, but I have a few bolt on guitars that I love. So, it really is the guitar that makes it
My candy apple red m1 is on order, going to call her candy
Awesome! You’ll love her
What was that u were playing in the intro?
That’s one of my old riffs from back in the day
How’s this holding up now it’s been a couple of years? I’m seriously tempted to buy this
Great! In my opinion These are the best value out of any super shredder

This one or your m1000 which is better?
They are both great, but if I had to pick one it would be my M-1000. In fact, my M-1000 is probably the guitar that I play the most

How much can you pull the Floyd rose up?
Not too much since it doesn’t have the cut out on it. More for pushing down.

I just don't want to spend more than half price for a used guitar that's not asking to much
Yea, you can probably find something local on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace
How do I know time made the guitar better, they could of sucked
Damn fucking clickbait. I saw a thumbnail of E.T. playing this guitar but... pfft
Hahaha! That made me laugh out loud. Wouldn't that be awesome watching ET shred?
