    These are some crazy modifications. I sometimes wonder if Randy is just messing with us to see if we'll actually fish this stuff 😆

    I ordered two of these based on the reviews. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqmKabisEv81ul5v7OhvVxxOpt2CJruI- Received them on time and they look good. I really like the handle on these knives as they feel good in my hand. I'm giving them 4 stars on look and feel, but have not had the chance to put them to the test yet. I mostly fish for catfish and can hopefully try them out in the next few days. If they hold an edge throughout a limit of catfish, they'll be worth another star.Update...I used the 9" strong and the 9" fillet on a mess of catfish. I did put a sharpening on these before I started. I want a razor edge to fillet fish but they weren't quite that sharp. The people who gave these knives crappy reviews and said they were sending them back was because they weren't razor sharp. So what, do they not have a knife sharpener?? Good grief! I mean you have to sharpen any knife from time to time.I personally like them and am pleased with them. If you're too lazy to sharpen a knife then hire someone to clean your fish lol.I've never bought a knife in my life that would shave hair right out of the box. Don't be afraid to purchase the knives. They're pretty nice in my opinion.

    The big jumbo Bass Pro Shops sticko cut as you demonstrated and rigged weightless on a barrel swivel with a 8- to 10-inch leader is deadly.

    I’ve caught LM Bass on the Wide Lobster Claw Type Rubber Bands. Just make one cut and weave a 1/0 worm hook 2 times so it on good. Just whip it out there and reel back slow and twitch it. I like the natural tan color. Cheap and durable. It’s fun catching Bass, Crappie, and small Pike on homemade nothing lures.

    I like these mods...I've done the crook on a swimming worm (not the cut in 1/2 worm) for 20 years now and the action is irresistible.... the worm darts, jerks and spins and flat out catches them when they're active up top as I'm sure 99% of you guys already know.

    Solar bats are great fishing & all around sun glasses as well. I have 2 pair, mossback & hicon yellow. I definitely will get another pair of ambers whenever they do big sale again! Hicon yellow is great for low light morning & evening but I think Amber is better for sight fishing once the sun comes out. Unless it's tanic water then the hicon really do make a difference

    • @ricksonora6656
      @ricksonora6656 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tinted glasses fool your iris onto opening wider, so more UV gets into your eye. UV causes cataracts, later. Grey may not give you best visibility into the water, but it protects your eyes best. When your hearing is going because you didn’t use hearing protection when shooting as a kid, and you can’t read closed-captioning or street signs because you didn’t protect your eyes, regrets start piling atop the annoyance.

    • @maxcole3930
      @maxcole3930 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ricksonora6656 so what about polarized glasses that are supposed to be protecting your eyes & blocking UV light spectrums? Wouldn't they be protecting your eyes? Why would grey lense be different than amber, or green, blue? & Some have mirror finish on outside like my Hicon yellow & green glasses? I don't know much about all this. I definitely rather protect my eyes! But I thought I was protecting them by wearing polarized glasses that block both UV light spectrums? That's for input

    Randy told us about the first mod before, so I know this wasn’t April Fools. I lose too many wacky rigs in snags, so the second is out; I’d rig it weedless, though. The third contradicts advice about always making the worm straight, so I’m inclined to stop struggling with it.
    Is one half of a split worm that different from just using a thinner worm? Also, why not be consistent and split the tail of the split worm?
