When I 1st saw what Garmin had released to the public, I was struck with awe. I looked up Garmin's freshwater Pro Staff of Elite anglers and noted their access to this amazing product in my Fantasy Fishing data files in the buckets. Fish huntin, then fishin.
I have an Eagle and a Lowrance units on my Targa 17. I got everything new in 05. I want to upgrade at least one of them and I'm thinking probubly it will be the Lowrance on the trolling motor I change. It is a 70 lb thrust MinKota with built in transduser. I really want a color unit, they look like they are easyer to see. Thanks for the video.
@Adam Kuisian Normally, it's underneath the boat,,so it doesn't matter which side,,fish swims to your bait if it's attractive to them,,nothing will tell you which side of the boat,,if it's really that important to you,you shouldn't be fishing,,cause that's being too picky,,or expectations too high.
When looking on the sonar screen and when you see 2 fish on the screen. Is that live or delay? if the fish are moving fast under the boat you never see a fish just passing on the screen its always still.
Nice video. Question: once you see fish on the screen, how do you know where they are in relation to the boat? You seem to be casting away from the boat which is not what I was expecting (I was expecting maybe a dropshot very close to the boat). What am I missing?
the tranducer is mounted to the transom so it's showing you stuff you just past over. (The newer portion of the picture is directly below/behind the boat)
Look like a great product but before anyone purchases a Garmin I strongly suggest that you try calling their support line and experience how they treat you after you have spent your money! Very very poor service support so choose wisely.
Can we use this product in south indian ocean, how to find bunch of fishes in nearest and how many Kilometer covering range for finding fish in harizondaly. please replay me.
@Bob Ellison I know what your saying. I always joke and tell my friends that now that I have a Fishfinder, and can see all the fish that I can't catch.

@Bob Ellison That's one of the things about fishing... sometimes they are just not in the mood to bite no matter what you try. Nature at its best!
Thanks for sharing Mr. Winkelman! What kind of bait or jigs do you use for crappies and bluegill?

Do fishfinders such as garmin allow users to download the recorded information into a secondary device such as a laptop?

All fish displayed on my Garmin 942xs travel right to left at the same rate of speed. To me, that just does not make sense...
what bite do you use
Is there a device that tracks depth and fish only?
What about rivers? Does Garmin have river maps?
Thank you, and for the quick come back. I live 35 mi. from the Mississippi and roughly 1hr. from the ILL. rivers This will help alot. Thanks again

Can I preload charts from Philippines
Do we need any other accessories required to make this devise operational?
Nope. You just need to install the transducer, mount the main unit in your boat, connect the power and transducer cable and read the manual.
you can also get an ice transducer and use it for ice fishing.
is that device can see sea bed and use it to explore sunken ship?
yes !
Price
Damn good video.
Sir you can make English to Hindi video
I still amazes me how much ppl put money into a boat and gear just to chase bass, in this case bait.
Everybody has different taste and enjoyment, btw,,why is BASS bait to you??
Had very poor service from Garmin, really rude service reps.
