The most dangerous animals to us can be thee most amazingly gentle parents. She is very smart and what a wonderful momma. I sometimes feel like her.. In this exact situation. But I could never breastfeed.. I still cry about it 18 months later. I tried everything. Geez.. A baby and momma hippo video can really make a gal emotional. Especially this time of year. ❤Happy holidays all❤
Im so sorry to hear, people don’t usually talk about stuff like that, and not being able to breastfeed, but it’s completely normal, and in no way shape or form its your fault, you did everything you could, and thats okay! Your giving your baby the best life he/she could ever ask for.

I believe they only attack when they feel threatened. They may not be able to tell the difference between a gun and a fishing pole. I don't know. In zoos many of them are quite docile.

I saw a big hippo at Walmart and she wasn’t protective of her kids at all. She didn’t even care about them running up and down the food aisles and they almost knocked an old lady over into the coffee cans.
